- Everyone knows that being a hero is 90% mental. It’s not enough to be able to beat up all of your enemies, but instead you have to get inside their mind and make them think they don’t even have a chance. The way you do that is with a classic costume. No one knows who you are until you put on the mask. Not to mention, it’s important to have a great brand image for when you sign all of those cereal box deals. Matthew Murdock is not the only person to hold the title of Daredevil, and when multiple realities and timelines exist, it’s likely you’ll find someone else who adopted the mantle. All too often and comics the allies of a hero eventually take on their mantle. Sam Wilson becomes Captain America, Jane Foster becomes Thor, and Elektra Natchios, a hero in her own right, takes on the mantle of Daredevil. Which Daredevil suit do you think stands above the rest? Sidenote: the basic black suit actually appeared well before Frank Miller’s “man without fear” series. It actually appeared in a TV movie called trial of the Incredible Hulk.

Which is not the disrespect Frank Miller’s “man without fear “series with John Romita Junior. I used to have those issues and it’s a very classic retelling of daredevil’s origin.

@Tori It is. Well nowhere near as thorough or as violent as the Netflix series, a lot of that same dark feel was still there in his appearance in that Incredible Hulk film.
And while Vincent D’Onofrio definitely is the kingpin, the man that played him in that 1980s movie wasn’t bad. I believe it’s the same dude that used to play Sola in the Indiana Jones movies.
The black street level suit with the white hand wraps from S3 Daredevil will forever be the most badass suit Matt has ever wore.

"Back in Black" is my favorite suit of Daredevil! I really hope one day we see it in the big screen!!!
I don't know why because if someone told me about it I would think it was lame but I find his Sweat Suit Costume in the TV show to be the coolest.
The original yellow/red suit was simply fabulous!
I like when Daredevils mask covers his face so that you can't see his eyes.
I personally just really like the classic look. Especially when you add on nifty looking padding like in the Netflix show.

Shadowland Daredevil is like Batman who is blind and uses his hearing power to fight crimes and he has so much money that he has his own gang and a mob boss.

The Back In Black suit 6:25 is easily my favorite DD suit next to the iconic red. I can't wait to see that in live-action. I think it's just a matter of time before Charlie Cox gets to wear this one for a while in the MCU.

Why does he even have eyes on his mask, it ain't like he could see through them
I don’t have a clear in universe explanation here at the moment. But my guess is because the bad guys aren’t supposed to know he’s blind. So if he has eyes on the mask, it appears like he can see, therefore helping protect his identity as no one would think a blind man could do any of the things Daredevil can do.

Armored suit is just my favorite suit. Bit of an unpopular opinion, but I've never liked the all-red costume.

the McDaniels/Chichester armored suit is what the the marvel/netflix series suit is based on....down to the twin wrist cuffs....yes, it was overdone a tad, but it was the '90s and it was not so excessive as were others.
iron man stole the knee/leg work from "fall from Grace"'s daredevil 6mntyhs later.....go ahead, count the months.
the problem with "fall from grace" and "Tree Of Knowledge" is standard comic industry norm.......too many charachter intertwines for the stories to flourish on their own.
daredevil SHOULD be blue(and black)....he's daring the devil!

@@bergoozie yes (of course wallace wood's red suit is iconic.....but murdock IS'NT the devil.....like evel kneivel, he dare's the devil). true, "no one know's who you are until you put on(?) the mask..".....what?..definitely he's got that backwards, plus it's a mainstay in daredevil as theme to not permit his crimefighter persona to overide his real life one, which ultimately would end in him becoming masked daredevil in his mind's reality with murdock being his disguise....no can do.
and i didn't empasize all that iron man and others took from the '93 McDaniel's/Chichester armored suit....like being that it was one of the 1st, i believe the 1st major, IPs with the chin strapped, which started steadily becoming more common across the board...
..iron man's had an apparent one from mar '93 but it was just coloring including the lower jaw and, like now, part of the whole helmet anyway
...and .cpt usa's 1st appeared in "the 1st avenger" film in '11.
plus iron man's similar leg/knee padding was also at that time accompanied by a new upper 1/2 of the upper body section, colored and bearing quite a strong resemblance to "FFG"'s.
those 2 story arcs are worth being re-edited/redone non convoluted, while also also refinishing some art, like switching the steel shaded armor to black

Seeing any of these in the tv show wouldnt make any sense if the whole point of the previous suit was to be a symbol but also functional, not to be a product placement like the comics skintight suits
