Eventually you will need to get a self stabilizing gimbal to mount your camera on. They make a world of difference in the quality of the video.
Maybe you already know, but just in case, if you get into making longer videos, the lithium ion car battery boosters have USB ports on the so they can be used to power or recharge electronic devices. A small booster could power your camera/phone for many hours. And being in Arizona where it gets so hot during the summer and if you use a smart phone camera to record, they make cooling fans you can attach to your phone to help prevent it from overheating. The booster could also be used to power that without stealing power from the phone.
