My atheistic (although that's changing) brother married a Muslim girl who is seemingly having a conversion; asking me questions about God, about our Lord Jesus Christ, and she would like to attend Divine Liturgy with me! What's more, it was their 7 year old (at the time) son whom God used to bring me back to the True Faith! Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; One God now and always and forever and ever!
That's wonderful - but I'm surprised she married a non-Muslim; she and her family must have been very liberal as Muslim women are strictly forbidden from marrying non-Muslims. Muslim men may marry non-Muslim women as the man is meant to be dominant and will influence his wife.

This church became the epicentre for resistance against the lockdown. Every Sunday l would bring my 4 foot statue of Our Lady of Fatima outside the church. We would kneel down outside the doors while mass was going on and pray Rosary after Rosary, stopping only for the consecration. The Gardai (police) would keep coming threatening to arrest us as many were coming outside the 5km limit. As soon as mass was over the doors would open and we would all receive Our Divine Saviour in Holy Communion. Crazy times. I don't think they are finished yet. It's always inspiring to hear of faithful and priests who would not surrender worship for any reason (but especially not for the crackpot, pathetic reasons given in the last 2 years). Protestants cannot receive the Holy Eucharist without conversion (or It condemns them, including Catholics, who 'take' unworthily). God has given the Church the Mass to feed and redeem us with His life giving Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity; remaining with us until the end of time. The verses you quote are very clear that we should not attempt any kind of worship together with Muslims. We cannot have religious communion with them. The attempt to build a "House of Abraham" (for Christians, Jews and Muslims) or the compound on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi is worse than a deep confusion. Still, Jesus says we should love our neighbour and love our enemies. God desires all convert to Him. Practically, our love for Muslims should include praying for their conversion, dealing with them justly in all things, not ever being deceitful (as Islam teaches they may deceive us, we do not reciprocate in kind, but by grace seek to show them a still more excellent way: Jesus Christ). And it is fine to collaborate with Muslims on, for example, pro-life issues, without however naively thinking this is religious communion. Many Muslims have natural virtue, and this we can like and admire. Does this make sense?

We don't know if someone will convert or not. So we should persist to the end (that is not only until they pass away, but until we pass away). We are not seeking a religious 'rapprochement'. We are seeking their conversion. And in the meantime, social order and peace as much as it can be achieved, without compromising or hiding our Faith to get it. I am not sure I understand your second paragraph. Do you think it is possible for the pure believers (whoever they are), to cut themselves off from everyone else? It won't work long. None of the Fathers / Saints interpret those verses as meaning one cannot have civil relations / discourse with non-believers. It means that if someone teaches as an anti-Christ (e.g. denying the Real Presence or the Blessed Trinity) then do not support their work or speak well of it (e.g. do not put them up and do not bless their work). [Saying "do not put them up" does not mean you turn your back on people who are homeless or starving because they have a different religion. It means you do not support their endeavours to propagate their religion.] Pope Leo XIII is talking about Masons, i.e. secret societies, people who "hide under the mask of universal tolerance, respect for all religions" but have another, poisonous agenda. It is not that they really want respect for people of other religions, but respect for their religions, using this to destroy all religion.

Sorry I cannot work out if you are asking about religion or politics; about conversion or rapprochement or civility; about Church teaching or current voices in the Church; or all of the above. A principle which can be applied consistently throughout is, as St Augustine wrote: "love the sinner, hate the sin".

Can you imagine the scene on the day of resurection when we will all meet our lord and then have a group of trinitarian christians stand before unitarian muslims? Both the Son and the Holy Spirit are titles given to creations of the creator. As far as I understand, the original dome was built at the end of the 7th century A.D. The arcades remain, but several times since then other parts of the building have been rebuilt after collapsing or being destroyed. Thanks also for the tip for Jay Smith video.

Actually, at the origine of islam you have an antitrinitarian sort of christianity. Very popular in Syria and Mesopotamia. The dome of the rock is about Jesus, praised as a prophet, not Son of God. The word mohammed at the dome of the rock is not a man’s name. It means the Praised One, Jesus. Islam is a later creation of the Arab chiefs, amalgamating antinicean creed, zoroastranism and pagan practices (the black stone).
God, the Son of God, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity, fully Divine, assumed human nature, took on the form of a slave, was born of the Virgin Mary, accepted in obedience to be God's Suffering Servant. Isaiah 9 has not been changed, we have the Septuagint and Vulgate in agreement (Greek before Christ, Latin after Christ), and these supported by the Masoretic text (the Hebrew). Why would the Jews testify to the accuracy of Christian Scriptures, except that it is all true? Islam came long after the Vulgate and claimed the Scriptures have been falsified. But God is too wise. He arranged from the beginning that multiple sources would testify to the integrity of His Word. Jesus is not a messenger as if a mere angel. You read from surah 4:171 which is meant to refute the divinity of Christ but unknowingly it confirms his divinity. 1 - it calls Jesus the Messiah, which is a Jewish concept not an Islamic one. Daniel 7:13-14 describes the Messiah as a divine being who is worshipped by all nations 2-Jesus is Allah's word. According to Islamic theology Allah's word is eternal. 3- Jesus is a spirit proceeding from Allah. All this ties in with John 1:1-3. Islamic scholars recognize this theological difficulty and have written tafsirs about to interpret that the word is simply a command and the spirit is a created spirit. You can see evidence of this is some translation where they add in words in brackets to change the meaning of this surah.
God is One. There is One God. And Jesus revealed to us that God's inner life is triune, that is, there are Three Persons Who are Divine, Three Persons Who are God. Yet there is still only One God. Jesus could reveal this to us because He is the Son of God, the second of the Three Divine Persons. They are all three absolutely identical in substance, equal in majesty, co-eternal without beginning or end. The Second Person, the Son, assumed human nature to reveal all this to us. He took on flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary and was born in Bethlehem some 2,000 years ago. Jesus is True God and True Man. He has two natures: divine and human. Both full and perfect. The Father is the Origin without origin. The Son is generated from Him. The Holy Ghost proceeds from both. That is the difference in their Persons, but there is no difference in their Substance, as they are all One God. It is a mystery, but Jesus revealed it to be true. Despite our surprise, it is absolutely coherent in rational, philosophical, metaphysical, theological science -- so far as we can approach this mystery at all. There is no contradiction. Christians are not saying there is "One Person and Three Persons"; we are not saying "One God and Three Gods"; we are saying "One God and Three Persons" or "Three Persons are One God" or "The Blessed Trinity is the One, True God". This means there is One Divine Substance, One God. And Three Persons are each this Substance. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Spirit is God. But not three Gods, only One. That surprises us, because we cannot grasp how three Persons can be so perfectly united that they are One single, simple, Substance. St Augustine said that one 'model' for the Holy Trinity is to think of our memory (or mind), intellect and will. This analogy is not perfect, but it is helpful. No way of talking about the Holy Trinity can fully explain it, because it transcends all creation. However, all souls who come to Heaven will see God immediately and forever, and will know everything they can possibly know. So, the model: when your mind knows something, it does not 'grow' in substance. Rather the substance of the mind takes on the form of the knowledge you have. So a lump of soft wax is the same lump when an impression of a seal is pressed into it, but now it carries the 'knowledge' of the seal. Our ideas are always less than ourselves. But God's ideas are perfect. And God's idea of Himself is as perfect as He is: it is not merely an idea, but it is real. It is a Person -- God the Son. We can say God the Father knows the Son, and the Son is known by the Father. They are the Knower and the Knowledge. Simultaneous with this, and with all its fullness, is the act of knowing. And this reality is, in God but not in us, also fully perfect and indeed a Person: the Holy Spirit. The Knower, the Knowledge and the act of Knowing. Or better: if the idea we have is good then we love it. If the idea is perfect we love it as fully as it can be loved. When the idea is in God it is absolutely perfect, so it is a Person; and His love of this Person is also full, and therefore a Person, namely the Holy Spirit. Even when we love an idea in our mind (for example as you love your father or mother), our mind does not take on a new substance. It takes on their form. And when we love this form, taking delight in it (actually in the person we love), then that does not add matter, weight or substance to our mind, but is a kind of life of the mind. It is actively knowing and delights to do so (the better the object of love, and the more it is loved, then so much greater the delight). So God the Father knowing the Son and the two of them loving each other, which love is the Holy Ghost, at no point adds any substance to God. He is already the fullness of everything anyway, so nothing can be added to Him. But this Substance that is God is not static. It is alive. It is the totally simultaneous fullness of Being, Knowing and Loving; or of Existence, Understanding and Delighting. In the end St Augustine stopped writing his work on this because we get so confused! There is only so far we can go. And if we talk too long about the Holy Trinity, we are bound to begin uttering heresies, for although everything in this entire creation is somehow like God, yet He is not 'like' any of it, being so far above it. And here is the wonder: because God is Love then it does not harm to a Divine Person to assume human nature, because humans can love too. So the Son of God assumed human nature, and He dwelt among us, Jesus of Nazareth, and He loved God completely, and He loved His Mother and St Joseph and His Apostles and indeed everyone in the full measure that they are worthy to be loved (less than God Himself, but still to the full measure of each creature's being). And He died for us to show us this love. And redeemed us -- if we will believe Him.
Do you have any reasons to back up your assertion against the Catholic Church? The Church is the Bride of Christ. If someone has misled you into insulting her, you can get out of that mess. If you realise you cannot give solid reasons for what you assert, then you should take that as a red flag that someone has misled you into thinking you know more than you actually do. St Jerome, who is in Heaven, disagrees with you. He says the little horn of Dan 7 is a human person, an individual, the antichrist in fact. St Jerome's Commentary on Daniel: "Let us not follow the opinion of some commentators and suppose him to be either the Devil or some demon, but rather, one of the human race, in whom Satan will wholly take up his residence in bodily form. ". . .and a mouth uttering overweening boasts..." (cf. II Thess. 2). For this is the man of sin, the son (668) of perdition, and that too to such a degree that he dares to sit in the temple of God, making himself out to be like God."
The holy trinity, the Father (the ego), the Son, (Male, Will), The holy Spirit, (Female, Imagination, Creation), We are created in his image, An ego in training to become like him, and Ego who is both Male and Female.
The Holy Spirit is strictly no gender but in Christianity is declared to be "male." The Holy Spirit is definitely not creation. Some gnostics and pantheists may think the Holy Spirit is creation but the Catholic church rejects such a notion as does the Orthodox, Copts, Anglicans, Calvinists and even the Unitarians. Jesus is not the Will of God either but is called the Logos which is the understanding of God, reason or the word of God through which things are made as Saint John's Gospel says in Chapter one.
Well I think the more sensible and honest Muslims, Jews and Christians will all agree that our teachings on God, on the Holy Trinity, are mutually exclusive. Claims that these religions can agree about God are wicked attempts to destroy all religion, to create a one world order. These attempts we see now in the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dabhi and the House of One in Berlin. So while I believe 100% in the Blessed Trinity, and disagree with Muslims and Jews about the Trinity, still I have more respect for Muslims and Jews who admit we disagree with each other, than the non-believers who dress up as believers in order to hijack religion and destroy it (or turn it to satan). That is why I think it is important to make videos about the differences between Catholicism and Islam, and it is why I am more recently addressing major differences between Catholicism and Judaism. Every Sunday l would bring my 4 foot statue of Our Lady of Fatima outside the church. We would kneel down outside the doors while mass was going on and pray Rosary after Rosary, stopping only for the consecration. The Gardai (police) would keep coming threatening to arrest us as many were coming outside the 5km limit. As soon as mass was over the doors would open and we would all receive Our Divine Saviour in Holy Communion. Crazy times. I don't think they are finished yet. O People of the Scripture the Gospel do not go to extremes do not go beyond the bounds in your religion and do not say about God except the saying of the truth such as exalting Him above any associations with a partner or a child the Messiah Jesus the son of Mary was only the Messenger of God and His Word which He cast to which He conveyed to Mary and a spirit that is one whose spirit is from Him he Jesus is here attached to God exalted be He as an honouring for him and not as you claim that he is the son of God or a god alongside Him or one of three because one that possesses a spirit is compound while God transcends being compound and the attribution of compounds to Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not say that the gods are ‘Three’ God Jesus and his mother. Refrain from this and say what it is better for you to say which is the profession of His Oneness. Verily God is but One God. Glory be to Him transcending the possibility that He should have a son! To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and in the earth as possessions creatures and servants and such sovereignty is not compatible with that prophethood of Jesus. God suffices as a Guardian a Witness to this.

The verses you quote are very clear that we should not attempt any kind of worship together with Muslims. We cannot have religious communion with them. The attempt to build a "House of Abraham" (for Christians, Jews and Muslims) or the compound on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi is worse than a deep confusion.
Still, Jesus says we should love our neighbour and love our enemies. God desires all convert to Him. Practically, our love for Muslims should include praying for their conversion, dealing with them justly in all things, not ever being deceitful (as Islam teaches they may deceive us, we do not reciprocate in kind, but by grace seek to show them a still more excellent way: Jesus Christ). And it is fine to collaborate with Muslims on, for example, pro-life issues, without however naively thinking this is religious communion. Many Muslims have natural virtue, and this we can like and admire.

We don't know if someone will convert or not. So we should persist to the end (that is not only until they pass away, but until we pass away).
We are not seeking a religious 'rapprochement'. We are seeking their conversion. And in the meantime, social order and peace as much as it can be achieved, without compromising or hiding our Faith to get it.
I am not sure I understand your second paragraph. Do you think it is possible for the pure believers (whoever they are), to cut themselves off from everyone else? It won't work long. None of the Fathers / Saints interpret those verses as meaning one cannot have civil relations / discourse with non-believers. It means that if someone teaches as an anti-Christ (e.g. denying the Real Presence or the Blessed Trinity) then do not support their work or speak well of it (e.g. do not put them up and do not bless their work). [Saying "do not put them up" does not mean you turn your back on people who are homeless or starving because they have a different religion. It means you do not support their endeavours to propagate their religion.]

As far as I understand, the original dome was built at the end of the 7th century A.D. The arcades remain, but several times since then other parts of the building have been rebuilt after collapsing or being destroyed.

Isaiah 9 has not been changed, we have the Septuagint and Vulgate in agreement (Greek before Christ, Latin after Christ), and these supported by the Masoretic text (the Hebrew). Why would the Jews testify to the accuracy of Christian Scriptures, except that it is all true? Islam came long after the Vulgate and claimed the Scriptures have been falsified. But God is too wise. He arranged from the beginning that multiple sources would testify to the integrity of His Word.
Jesus is not a messenger as if a mere angel. He is true God and true Man Whom the angels serve and worship.

You read from surah 4:171 which is meant to refute the divinity of Christ but unknowingly it confirms his divinity. 1 - it calls Jesus the Messiah, which is a Jewish concept not an Islamic one. Daniel 7:13-14 describes the Messiah as a divine being who is worshipped by all nations 2-Jesus is Allah's word. According to Islamic theology Allah's word is eternal. 3- Jesus is a spirit proceeding from Allah. All this ties in with John 1:1-3. Islamic scholars recognize this theological difficulty and have written tafsirs about to interpret that the word is simply a command and the spirit is a created spirit. You can see evidence of this is some translation where they add in words in brackets to change the meaning of this surah.

God is One. There is One God. And Jesus revealed to us that God's inner life is triune, that is, there are Three Persons Who are Divine, Three Persons Who are God. Yet there is still only One God.
Jesus could reveal this to us because He is the Son of God, the second of the Three Divine Persons. They are all three absolutely identical in substance, equal in majesty, co-eternal without beginning or end.
The Second Person, the Son, assumed human nature to reveal all this to us. He took on flesh in the womb of the Virgin Mary and was born in Bethlehem some 2,000 years ago.
Jesus is True God and True Man. He has two natures: divine and human. Both full and perfect.
The Father generates the Son from all eternity. And it has pleased the Father to send His Son to redeem the world, because God the Father -- just like the Son and Spirit -- loves us; God is love; God loves the world. And the Son was pleased to be sent ("Here am I") and the Holy Spirit cooperated fully in all this.
All the works of God are done equally by Father, Son & Spirit. They share one Divine Will.
The Father is the Origin without origin. The Son is generated from Him. The Holy Ghost proceeds from both. That is the difference in their Persons, but there is no difference in their Substance, as they are all One God.
It is a mystery, but Jesus revealed it to be true. Despite our surprise, it is absolutely coherent in rational, philosophical, metaphysical, theological science -- so far as we can approach this mystery at all.

There is no contradiction. Christians are not saying there is "One Person and Three Persons"; we are not saying "One God and Three Gods"; we are saying "One God and Three Persons" or "Three Persons are One God" or "The Blessed Trinity is the One, True God".
This means there is One Divine Substance, One God. And Three Persons are each this Substance. The Father is God. The Son is God. The Spirit is God. But not three Gods, only One.
That surprises us, because we cannot grasp how three Persons can be so perfectly united that they are One single, simple, Substance. But there is an analogy which St Augustine thought out to try to help us... (I'll sketch it out here soon)

St Augustine said that one 'model' for the Holy Trinity is to think of our memory (or mind), intellect and will. This analogy is not perfect, but it is helpful. No way of talking about the Holy Trinity can fully explain it, because it transcends all creation. However, all souls who come to Heaven will see God immediately and forever, and will know everything they can possibly know.
So, the model: when your mind knows something, it does not 'grow' in substance. Rather the substance of the mind takes on the form of the knowledge you have. So a lump of soft wax is the same lump when an impression of a seal is pressed into it, but now it carries the 'knowledge' of the seal. Our ideas are always less than ourselves. But God's ideas are perfect. And God's idea of Himself is as perfect as He is: it is not merely an idea, but it is real. It is a Person -- God the Son. We can say God the Father knows the Son, and the Son is known by the Father. They are the Knower and the Knowledge. Simultaneous with this, and with all its fullness, is the act of knowing. And this reality is, in God but not in us, also fully perfect and indeed a Person: the Holy Spirit. The Knower, the Knowledge and the act of Knowing.
Or better: if the idea we have is good then we love it. If the idea is perfect we love it as fully as it can be loved. When the idea is in God it is absolutely perfect, so it is a Person; and His love of this Person is also full, and therefore a Person, namely the Holy Spirit.
Even when we love an idea in our mind (for example as you love your father or mother), our mind does not take on a new substance. It takes on their form. And when we love this form, taking delight in it (actually in the person we love), then that does not add matter, weight or substance to our mind, but is a kind of life of the mind. It is actively knowing and delights to do so (the better the object of love, and the more it is loved, then so much greater the delight). So God the Father knowing the Son and the two of them loving each other, which love is the Holy Ghost, at no point adds any substance to God. He is already the fullness of everything anyway, so nothing can be added to Him. But this Substance that is God is not static. It is alive. It is the totally simultaneous fullness of Being, Knowing and Loving; or of Existence, Understanding and Delighting.
In the end St Augustine stopped writing his work on this because we get so confused! There is only so far we can go. And if we talk too long about the Holy Trinity, we are bound to begin uttering heresies, for although everything in this entire creation is somehow like God, yet He is not 'like' any of it, being so far above it.
And here is the wonder: because God is Love then it does not harm to a Divine Person to assume human nature, because humans can love too. So the Son of God assumed human nature, and He dwelt among us, Jesus of Nazareth, and He loved God completely, and He loved His Mother and St Joseph and His Apostles and indeed everyone in the full measure that they are worthy to be loved (less than God Himself, but still to the full measure of each creature's being). And He died for us to show us this love. And redeemed us -- if we will believe Him.

". . .and a mouth uttering overweening boasts..." (cf. II Thess. 2). For this is the man of sin, the son (668) of perdition, and that too to such a degree that he dares to sit in the temple of God, making himself out to be like God."

The holy trinity, the Father (the ego), the Son, (Male, Will), The holy Spirit, (Female, Imagination, Creation), We are created in his image, An ego in training to become like him, and Ego who is both Male and Female.
The Holy Spirit is strictly no gender but in Christianity is declared to be "male." The Holy Spirit is definitely not creation. Some gnostics and pantheists may think the Holy Spirit is creation but the Catholic church rejects such a notion as does the Orthodox, Copts, Anglicans, Calvinists and even the Unitarians. Jesus is not the Will of God either but is called the Logos which is the understanding of God, reason or the word of God through which things are made as Saint John's Gospel says in Chapter one.
Of COURSE other religions deny the "truths" of Christianity. Otherwise they wouldn't be other religons, would they?

Well I think the more sensible and honest Muslims, Jews and Christians will all agree that our teachings on God, on the Holy Trinity, are mutually exclusive.
Claims that these religions can agree about God are wicked attempts to destroy all religion, to create a one world order. These attempts we see now in the Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dabhi and the House of One in Berlin.
So while I believe 100% in the Blessed Trinity, and disagree with Muslims and Jews about the Trinity, still I have more respect for Muslims and Jews who admit we disagree with each other, than the non-believers who dress up as believers in order to hijack religion and destroy it (or turn it to satan).

- your statement is nothing to do with Church teaching or truth. It is your own error which you keep repeating.
- The Church teaches according to the revelation of God and reality: The Blessed Trinity is One God, Three Persons. If you do not accept that then you do not know what the Trinity is, so why would you make categorical statements? Why not ask questions? Or at least why as a non-Christian do you try to tell us what Church teaching is when we tell you plainly that you have it totally wrong.
The Trinity is One God. That is what God reveals. You do not know better than God.

There is no God but One God this is true. Why is this guy contradicting the Holy books especially the Torah that his religion is based on. The Old Testament is the foundation of christianity yet this guy is no Bible scholar he is just a priest

Admittedly, it is a mystery. It took God to reveal it to us. And it took the Saints to present it to us. And holy theologians of genius to lay it out for us. And thanks to all these, a child can grasp what is essential -- the is One God; and Three Persons are God. Our minds can accept both these, for Jesus, the Son of God, revealed these truths. But our minds cannot fully grasp the mystery in this life, though we will see it immediately in the next life... those who get to Heaven.
