Hey broadbent, another great video, just thinking, not to seem annoying, but have you considered making a boat transport raft, so you could take the dingy on the ark, then once you've settled on a new island, you can go back to home base where the dock boat is, and take all your rafts with you, just thinking out loud.
@Broadbent I just found this game. Love it. I made a custom island I've been playing to try and improve it (great white reef, marlin lake, fishing pond, lots of wrecks, sea bases, harbor... lots of resources spread about...) Disappointed I can't place shipping containers on it though. I'm sure you know this, but basically you need a 4 wide and 1 deep raft to float a container wall/door. Which means a 3 deep x 4 wide raft will float 3 shipping containers walls/doors. That sized raft is a bit tricky to steer, so I added a sail/rotor when I need help turning the raft (and of course, anchor in the middle)).
Stranded Deep has come a long way since its beginnings, but man, they really need to add some stuff to do with the rafts. Storage lockers/crate holders, pontoons (or something similar) to help with rafts flipping, and communicate in game the buoyancy of the various bases and make it have a noticeable effect.
Yeah, it's time to just find a new base. Something roomier where you can build a BIG, BB style base. Honestly, I can see you building on the island you explored this ep, and glitching your base so that it connects to a sea fort and you storing all your crates in the fort, then you start calling it the warehouse.
Broadbent you should focus on finding a new place to build a base, because it is such a waste to keep putting ressources into something witch is only for temporary use.

Use the dinghy and build a ship around it. Use the dinghy as a safe storage of wooden crates.
