H.R. Giger was working on Brain Gibson Movie Poltergeist II, that director withhold the information to Giger that Cameron was looking for him for ALIENS.
and Giger was very angry about it, but he loved Cameron concept of Alien Queen

I once had a supply teacher who actually went to school with James Cameron in Ontario. He recalled him doing nothing in class but doodling cyborgs in his math book.

Cameron's distinctive look behind the camera is undoubtedly one of the best visual looks of any filmaker . 🤘👍😝

That's why Cameron is a genius and an inspiration for many artists as myself. He's able to draw and conceptualize from scratch the fruits of his imagination then be able to manifest them into epic and memorable movies.
There are no directors right now that can do what he can from drawing his own concept arts and character designs to directing the final result almost 1 on 1 what was on his original canvas.(exemple: The T-800, The Alien Queen, The Abyss NTI's and Neytiri). Not even Spielberg nor Christopher Nolan who can't draw and paint.

Don't know of any in film, but Miyazaki is the equivalent in animation.

James Cameron has been my Favorite movie director since I understood he directed The Terminator, when I was a little boy. I then followed his work and each time, I was thoroughly impressed. Unfortunately the Terminator franchise has taken a deathful toll after T2. Where not one Terminator since was ever good, just down right terrible. I mean it's so horrible that not even the director fir the blockbuster "Deadpool" could resuscitate the Terminator franchise. As a matter of fact in this last Terminator franchise, it seems the director took a pillow to the franchise to suffocate it, then killed the main reason terminator existed, period. Then set the dumpster fire that was Dark Fate, and set it more on fire, to make it a burning inferno. Though one good thing did come from that horrible movie. The one saving grace of the movie was...well, MacKenzie Davis' Grace. Her fight scenes exhibited the Captain Marvel we all deserved. MacKenzie Davis could do to Captain Marvel what Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. Did for Steve Rogers/Captain America, Tony Stark/Iron Man. Until then, James Cameron should take the helm again and direct another Terminator Film, bringing back life to HIS franchise and he should call it Terminator 3. In respect for all of his fans, blowing all the other terminator mistakes out of the water. I mean, we're owed that for all the Terminator franchises, after T2, letting us down like a dad telling his kids he's going out for cigarettes only For the kids never to see their Dad again. Sorry fir the rant. And thank you for your content and channel. They're really awesome.
