The thing is Luke had the right idea. It was his father's love and compassion the same emotions forbidden to the Jedi that saved Luke and turned Vader back to the light as Anakin. The Jedi are supposed to be compassionate but yet not form attachments. Having compassion is not wrong. Emotions like that make us human. But we also can't let them control us.
Love and compassion was forbidden to the Jedi? In AotC Anakin specifically tells Padmé of the Jedi teachings: “Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is essential to a Jedi's life. So you might say, that we are encouraged to love.”
The Jedi are allowed to love and be compassionate, there’s no restriction on such a thing. Luke saving Vader wasn’t about attachment, it was due to compassion. Also ironically if not for Anakin’s attachment to Padme leading to him giving into Sidious, Luke wouldent have needed to turn him back in the first place.
@@Fark2005 That whole thing was just Anakin trying to find a loophole in that rule. Not really much more than that. Don't forget, Obi-Wan and Yoda both wrote off Vader as irredeemable and told Luke he would need to kill him and that if he failed, he would fall to the Dark Side. Even back in the Original Trilogy, the Jedi's dogma was putting the galaxy in jeopardy because only after Luke's insistence on Anakin still being in there somewhere and being tortured by Sidious was it possible for the Emperor to be beaten. He would have been too powerful for literally anyone else to defeat. Including Luke and Vader fighting together.
And what made Luke the best of all the Jedi was the fact that he never followed those rules about feelings and emotions like they tried to force his father to do,
@@alexcollins1193 The Jedi tried to teach Anakin was that emotions such as fear, anger, hate, jealousy, greed - and attachment - would lead to the Dark Side - lead to pain and suffering. Anakin chose to disregard these teachings and be selfish, which caused both pain and suffering to himself, those he loved, and countless other innocent people. Luke chose to follow the Jedi teachings and let go of his attachment, putting an end to the Sith. In RotJ Luke realises that the price he will have to pay to save his friends and the Alliance - namely embracing the Dark side and becoming an evil tyrant - is too high. When he throws away his weapon and is prepared to give up his life, he also gives up any chance he has to save his friends. RotJ-Luke, unlike Anakin, understood that what essentially makes a Jedi is the willingness to sacrifice your own selfish desires for the sake of the greater good.
This is the best positive ending that could have come out of this critical point in the ROS story. If they do a Star Wars What If series, they need to adapt this for animation cause I would love to see it.
Bad ending: Padme dies before giving birth, thus the empire reigns supreme and mostly unchallenged. True ending: what happens in the movie. Good ending: Obi-Wan, Padme, and Ahsoka convince Anakin to return to the light while on Mustafar. Best ending: this video.

Just an observation, but it’s incredible how advanced this one Yoda AI is at mimicking Tom Kane’s performance. And some might crucify me for saying this, but I hope it keeps advancing so that his role as Yoda can continue in animation.
Well, Frank Oz did the voice in Rebels, so I imagine they'll have him do it like they're having Ian McDiarmid do Palpatine's lines since Ian Abercrombie died/Tim Curry stopped doing TV voice acting.
My issue with AI is that if the voice actor is not being paid, then what rights do we have? If anyone can lift my voice print and make profits and I see not a dime of them, then it’s a crime in my eyes.
Seeing Anakin as a proud father to Luke and Leia in the displayed pictures was really heartwarming. I wish this was a story we could have seen on film. Just imagine an older Anakin teaching his children the ways of the Jedi, and seeing how proud he is of them.
The biggest problem is that Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Ahsohka's memory were wiped after the Mortis incident considering Anakin was shown a future of him becoming Vader.
Only the memories of his future as Darth Vader were wiped. He still remembers but since it as been described as a shared vision like with Luke on Dagobah, he doesn’t know wether or not it was dream or reality same with Obi Wan and Ahsoka
I agree. I'd LOVE to see a "What If" series of *Star Wars* I can envision the whole series as CGI animated or perhaps the traditional hand-drawn animated like both respective *Clone Wars* series where one episode will deal with major fan scenarios, both good and bad about the possibilities of whatever and whenever in the *Star Wars* mythos.
This could have changed a lot in the time line if anakin had the full knowledge from the restricted section in the Jedi temple it could have saved padme anakin really didn’t need darth sidous knowledge
Not really. He wanted the knowledge to stop death itself. Something the Jedi didn't have either. Healing yes but not preventing death itself. The closest anyone gets is becoming a Force Ghost. The Jedi accept that things change and that life isn't permanent. The Sith can't and seek immortality but will never obtain it. So even if Anakin had been granted access, he wouldn't find the answer he wanted.

Being told you are great before you’ve actually done anything difficult would ruin any child growing up.

What if Darth Vader was transported to this world and learned of his fate? Can you imagine the regret and pain from knowing everything would have turned out so differently if he just sat his ass down?
Wouldnt happen, because he was the chosen one to bring balance to the force. He did that, didnt he? He killed the jedi, killed the emperor and sided with his son. It was bound to happen.
@@CODA96 Bringing balance to the Force was at its core just destroying the Sith, not evening the scales by killing Jedi. The whole idea of it comes from a Jedi mindset, as they view the Sith as abusing the Force on their wanton path of greed and destruction.
@@Skelezig Im not so sure. It would seem like a well written point to assume that the ''chosen one who brings balance'' really brings true balance to the world, and not just in favor for the jedi, who were so arrogant to believe only they were the good ones (they are a religious cult that kidnaps children). Didnt Yoda say something along the lines of he didnt see it coming? Of course he didnt, its like Palpatine said ''Your arrogance blinds you''
@CODA96 George Lucas made commentary on this a long time ago. Star Wars wasn't a complicated story in its original trilogy, and even in the prequels, it's clearly established that bringing balance to the Force was fulfilling the prophecy by destroying the Sith. That's why Anakin only fulfilled the prophecy upon throwing Sidious down the shaft, killing him. Because in that moment, he killed Sidious and redeemed himself. Yes, the Jedi had become arrogant. The whole ivory council sitting in their ivory tower and bickering over meaningless platitudes was to show that. But it wasn't their arrogance that blinded them. It was Sidious. He shrouded himself in the dark side, obscuring his presence in the Force. As for who is good. That's pretty straightforward. The Jedi are the good ones, but where they previously had been unwilling to take a stand for moral causes because they were peacekeepers over moral agents, the Clone Wars and Sidious' manipulation had made them too militant and eager to resolve problems with violence. They still had good intentions, whereas the Sith is all bad intentions with no qualms for casualties and needless suffering. There's a reason only the Jedi can become Force ghosts, and more specifically, why the Sith can't. The Jedi are at peace with the Force, while the Sith seeks nothing but to subjugate it to their whims.
This is incredible, honestly incredible, the amount of time you spent here is incredible. Your story is incredible and actually carries such a dark tone because we know it could never be so good for the galaxy, for anyone.
I’d actually like to think one new thing the order would do after this reveal about Anakin and Padme’s relationship is that they would try to develop a method for those in the order that happened to fall in love with someone. A training that would help that Jedi Knight keep themselves from turning to the dark side if something happened.
He won the lightsaber battle, yes - but that doesn't mean he won the fight itself. Had Anakin not set foot in that office Palpatine would've gone all postal with the Force, rather than just a burst of lightning. Considering what he did in the Senate Chamber when fighting Yoda.
@@OneGaurdian wouldn't have mattered. Windu grows more powerful, the more powerful the dark side that's used against him. Plus, he wasn't elderly, like Yoda. Yoda would have won, if he were even a couple of decades younger.
One thing that we always have to take into account is that Anakinw was there, in that crucial moment, not by chance but by Palaptine's design. He knew Mace was coming for him, so he was literally in Anakin's head, compelling him to come to his aide, for Padme's sake. For Mace, this was purely a lightsaber battle. For Sidious, it was a battle of wits - which he won.

At the end, I'd have imagined a friendly duel between the two. Anakin wins, Mace is satisfied that someone has surpassed him. Mace wins, Anakin is salty for all of five minutes (because he is still Anakin after all) and then backs Mace in full knowing he himself still has room to improve.
Interesting how the trials for Jedi to become Knights usually involve some accomplishment. In this scenario, the "trial" for someone as powerful as Anakin to become a Master would've involved withholding that power.
Mace: *Fighting for his life against the most powerful Sith Lord in history* Anakin: *Switching between chairs in the Council Chambers, trying to decide which one is most comfortable*
In my version of things: 1. Padme becomes the new Chancellor of the Republic. 2. Chancellor Amidala grants full independence to the CIS. 3. Yoda abdicates as Grand Master of the Jedi Order and leaves the Council. 4. In addition to making Anakin a Master, it's also decided to make Obi-Wan the new Grand Master of the Jedi Order. 5. Yoda becomes the liason between the Jedi Order and the office of the Chancellor. 6. It's also decided that once the twins are old enough and with parental approval, they'll be Anakin's Padawans.

A CO GRAND MASTERSHIP is actually a really good idea, as it'd be less unilateral that and in this timeline, a dual mix of leadership between both Mace and Anakin who once disliked eachother, but now had good relations would be an AMAZING synergy. -Mace would be the stickler to the rules when need be, whilst Anakin would be the type to think out the box and break the rules when necessary -Mace was less chaotic than Anakin, yet both were on the greyer end of things (Mace's Vapod taps into the dark side, Anakin has used the dark side raw himself) -Anakin would provide a much needed reform and change to the system to even the Republic (was already a legendary war hero and well known in the jedi order in the original timeline) whilst Mace would restrain reforms not to goo too far or too quick -Mace had more experience, but Anakin more power pretty damn good mix
Excellent! I liked how you tied in Anakin's fears as the reason his nightmares continued even after Sidious' death. That makes alot of sense for Anakins' character. I do think that the Jedi Order as it existed then would've needed to undergone some radical changes to survive. The jedi code as it had stood has created more than a few Sith Lords which have nearly brought about their extinction. Perhaps an order which does not condemn emotional connection and teaches Jedi to leads their individual relationships without fear, and in compassion.

Not the OP, but Sidious would know that Anakin had turned on him. The moment of choice was passed, and now the consequences both good and evil must follow. The 501st without Vader at it's head marches on the temple. Anakin and Shaak Ti as only members of the council present are able to rally the defenses. However, he knows these troops, knows how easily jedi can fall to blaster fire. Shaak Ti leads the evacuation with Kelleran Beq and Velti, Jocast Nu is assigned with preserving as much as they can from the archives, and Anakin meets the troopers at the doors. As they rush at him and the few Jedi he's hand picked to to help with the defense, including Jedi battlemaster, Cin Drallig a great battle happens. Anakin's goal isn't to win this battle, but it is to preserve as many of the Jedi as possible as they escape. Many Jedi die, but many more than in the original timeline escape. As they retreat, a group of younglings is cut off and Anakin goes and rescues them. Anakin is the last to leave the temple, swearing "I Shall Return" and fleeing through the underbelly of Coruscant. Knowing that if Sidious has defeated the masters who went to capture him, then he is too powerful to encounter. Sheparding the group of younglings, he tries to find a way to escape. Sidious orders the arrest of Padme, cutting off that route of escape. He wants to go rescue her, but looking at the younglings who could be his own children that he would be endagering, he cant. He manages to escape on the Tantive IV with Senator Organa. Yoda, Obi-Wan, Shaak Ti, and Anakin are the only members of the council to survive. Jocasta Nu returns to her seat. Kelleran Beq, Cin Drallig, and some other Jedi are hastily promoted to the council. They meet to decide what to do next. Anakin insists on a strike, trying to take down Palpatine. Ashoka arrives, revealing what happened to the clones, but also that Darth Maul has survived the initial purge but that he was to be killed with her. Believing that Maul may have vital information, Anakin and Ashoka are dispatched to catch him and offer an alliance to bring down Sidious. Shaak Ti and Obi-Wan are sent to the Kamino to see if there is a way to reverse the chip. The rest of the Jedi are not convinced that this will work, and prepare to go into hiding as they have had to do many times in their history. Maul reveals a secret sith communications channel and Shaak Ti and Obi-Wan discover the existence of order 65, which permits the senate to remove the chancellor. Using themselves as bait, Yoda, Obi-Wan, and Anakin bait Sidious into trying to deal with them personally with Maul as their 'captor'. Organa goes to the senate, with absolute proof of the Return of the Sith and convinces them that all of the secret sith must be purged. Without Sidious present, the motion passes, and Organa reveals Sidious's true nature. Meanwhile, Maul suddenly but inevitably betrays the Jedi and Sidious captures them, trying to bring them back to Coruscant as trophies. However, they are met with a hail of blaster fire as they land at the secret prison as the clone trooper guards now have orders to fire on both Sideous and the Jedi. Chaos breaks out at the secret prison and Anakin knows that Padme is near, and so goes to rescue her, leaving a Jedi vs Sith vs Trooper melee behind. Sidious chases him, still wanting to sway Anakin to the Dark side. However, with Obiwan in danger and Padme with him, he realizes that while he does trust and even love Sidious, his family is more important. The two duel and Anakin gives his life so that Padme can escape with their children. With not just one, but two of the greatest fighting Jedi dead at the hands of Sidious, the Jedi go into hiding to await a more opportune time. Sidious is able to convince the Senate that the Jedi are the real traitors, but not everyone agrees. Maul is reinstated as Sidious's apprentice. The galaxy descends into a second civil war longer and more brutal. But hidden away are two children of a Hero.

@Joseph Prendergast the only way a crystal can change color in new canon is when they're made to bleed by a Sith torture it red, or when they're purified after bleeding. Nothing in new canon says colors can change other than that.
I feel like Palpatine held back against Mace to stall for Anakin to appear. It was clear that the chancellor over powered the other jedi masters without any strain on himself. He knew Anakin would react the way he did because of how much grooming he received from the chancellor. He was vulnerable to the worst person in the entire galaxy thus becoming predictable. Palpatine planned to have Mace as the first real step into the dark side. Killing him would feed into the anger and make him forsake what it meant to be a Jedi.
I think it was later stated that while Sidious did lose the lightsaber portion of the fight, he was more than strong enough to kill Mace regardless and would've done so if Anakin hadn't arrived. Its even shown in the novelization that Mace wasn't able to keep his lightsaber in position during the lightning barrage and would've wound up being killed by it if Sidious hadn't stopped when he did in a blantantly obvious fake surrender.
@cngotham4111 if you're talking about what George said when the movie came out, you gotta remember that there were a lot of changes made after Lucas sold star wars. For instance, the inhibitor chips installed in the clones wasn't the original plan for why the clones turned on the Jedi. At the time, originally the clones turned because they genuinely believed that the jedi betrayed the republic. Mace is powerful but only Yoda really stood a chance against the emperor. So Mace being unmatched isn't too far off from the Canon I'm sure
@@cngotham4111 Lucas did say that but he's changed his mind before and every other source backs up the idea that Sidious faked his defeat. The novelization, and the comic of the same event, both state that while Sidious lost the lightsaber part fairly, Windu was being overwhelmed by Sidious with even his Vapaad unable to handle the sheer amount of power Sidious was outputting. If you think about, if Sidious really had been out of power, how'd he suddenly unleash enough to kill Windu after the Jedi was disarmed? To be fair, this isn't dissing Windu at all, he arguably had the best chance against Sidious compared to any other Jedi of that era thanks to Vapaad but Sidious was just ridiculously powerful.
He could have probably been rewarded the rank of Master by Master Windu after it was all over. This could have showed Windu that he could trust Anakin from that point on. Who knows?
I always wondered how different the galaxy would’ve been had Palpatine sent the Separatist leaders to another planet instead of Mustafar. If they were sent elsewhere, Vader wouldn’t have been sent to a planet where he could get burned
The only thing I feel like should be added is that Masters Ploo-Koon and Kit Fisto are both Very human Characters, in touch with their Emotions without letting it control them and Would have Supported Anakin's Love and Children, and Master Ploo is around 300-320 Years old so I Expected him to be the next Grandmaster, But I like that Idea of Mace and Anakin FINALLY getting along and working together.
While he is in the jedi archives he finds out the master yoga has a few over due books. Also that an ancient holo movie is in master windu possession called pulp fiction.
Sidious planted the visions. With that in mind, what if Obi-Wan and Yoda had just ignored Anakin, and joined forces against Sidious? If they'd managed to kill the Emperor, and just let the volatile apprentice be, I'm pretty sure the dark side in Anakin would die with Padme's survival.

But the Idea of Starkiller fighting Ashoka is poetic. One is the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker and the other the apprentice of Darth Vader. The Master is the same person but two very different people.
They could totally do it, all that changes is he becomes part of the Inquisitorus when he’s old enough to hide his true purpose from palpatine (and Galen himself eventually). You can replace Shaak Ti with Ahsoka, as their fight will look very similar aside from Ashoka’s knowledge of Vader. Either way, Ahsoka may have better blade-work by far and Cal may have even better street smarts than the other two combined, but neither one in my opinion is a match for Galen’s sheer destructive power.
@@aylix2137 Cal has the chance to be MVP for Ahsoka’s team But the real MVP is Proxy and his detailed catalog of Jedi combat forms. What if Grievous escaped Utapau for Mustafar and then Anakin tried to kill Grievous and the other separatists and then Grievous and Obi-wan team up to fight Anakin on Mustafar?

Great, but save her from what? From himself? :)
She wouldn’t have needed to be saved if he never went to the dark side
Yes some hidden knowledge like restrtaining yourself not to choke out your woman
The vision of Padme dying in childbirth was a trick to seduce Anakin to the dark side - she was never going to die
@@Skelezig Well thats a bit weak then, i like my version better.

I’d actually like to think one new thing the order would do after this reveal about Anakin and Padme’s relationship is that they would try to develop a method for those in the order that happened to fall in love with someone. A training that would help that Jedi Knight keep themselves from turning to the dark side if something happened.
Windu would have killed Palpatine. George Lucas has stated multiple times that Mace windu won that duel, legitimately. Palpatine didn't throw it.
@@OneGaurdian no, Lucas was clear. Windu would have killed him, had Anakin not interfered.

Its so oddly satisfying to hear good endings for anakin.
Interesting how the trials for Jedi to become Knights usually involve some accomplishment. In this scenario, the "trial" for someone as powerful as Anakin to become a Master would've involved withholding that power.

Anakin: *Switching between chairs in the Council Chambers, trying to decide which one is most comfortable*

In my version of things:
6. It's also decided that once the twins are old enough and with parental approval, they'll be Anakin's Padawans.

that and in this timeline, a dual mix of leadership between both Mace and Anakin who once disliked eachother, but now had good relations would be an AMAZING synergy.
-Mace would be the stickler to the rules when need be, whilst Anakin would be the type to think out the box and break the rules when necessary
-Mace was less chaotic than Anakin, yet both were on the greyer end of things (Mace's Vapod taps into the dark side, Anakin has used the dark side raw himself)
-Anakin would provide a much needed reform and change to the system to even the Republic (was already a legendary war hero and well known in the jedi order in the original timeline) whilst Mace would restrain reforms not to goo too far or too quick
-Mace had more experience, but Anakin more power

Make a story about What If Anakin Skywalker STAYED In The Council Chambers But Mace Windu lost to Palpatine?

For some reason I imagined Palpatine throwing sand in Anakins face lol
@@Lorekeeper72 i thought George straight up said that mace would have won fair and square if Anakin didn't come in?
Mace wasn't like the other masters for one mace is more Yoda's level and perfect for specifically dark users like palpatine.

The biggest catharsis. Chills from imagining Anakin relieved that there was hope. He and Kenobi stayed as brothers.

What If obi wan was a sith lord? He might be. When he said " only a sith deals In absolutes " he himself said an absolute
the whole council is shocked, except for obi wan who knew all along
Make what if Anakin trained more on his force abilities along with what if the Jedi order accepted Anakin from the start
or what if the jedi found Anakin as a baby?
ahhh it's sooooooooooooooo wholesome!!
Thanks for the story, it was heart moving :D
Qui gon is incredibly underrated he changed the whole story.
good job, but anakin got his memory of mortis wiped, so he couldn't remember talking to Qui-Gon.
Was it entirely all of Mortis or just his vision as Vader? I couldn't fully recall.
@@redace4821 I'm 90% sure it was all.
What if Qui Gon was a Sith Lord?
That's a good idea
Really good idea since he tries to stay balanced in both light and dark.
I imagine him starting to look like Lemmy from Motörhead
Actually a pretty good idea 👍🏻
A Sith Lord?
I always love how little sense anakin joining palpatine makes haha, he says "I have the power to save the one you love", followed by "I'm too weak ehhh" and anakins like yep this is the guy
What if Anakin Saves his mother
I was thinking "oh i wonder what anakins kids would have been like as jedi" then i remembered the original films😂😂 i cant beleieve i forgot Luke was anakins dad 😂
i really wish they had made two versions of episode 3 like this story that way we could have had alternate time lines like marvel does
What if Galen Marek and the Starkiller clone were tasked with hunting down Ahsoka Tano and Cal Kestis?
But the Clone only exist because Galen died, so how would they team up?
But the Idea of Starkiller fighting Ashoka is poetic. One is the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker and the other the apprentice of Darth Vader. The Master is the same person but two very different people.
@@gameover9390 timeline adjustments would need to be made.
@@aylix2137 Cal has the chance to be MVP for Ahsoka’s team
But the real MVP is Proxy and his detailed catalog of Jedi combat forms.
Plus Both Galen and Starkiller use dual lightsabers, I’d use the comics and books for the basis of the theoretical death battle.
In my opinion, it would come down to force powers and the Starkiller clone’s PTSD memory flashbacks.
And I think they can come up with some changes, such as how to deal with love. As Jolee once said, love itself doesn’t lead one to the dark side
What if Grievous escaped Utapau for Mustafar and then Anakin tried to kill Grievous and the other separatists and then Grievous and Obi-wan team up to fight Anakin on Mustafar?
@Snyder The Star Wars Fan Thank You!
This is so wholesome!! Love it!!
I don't think Obi-Wan would have regretted anything in his life like lost love. Though I feel this whole scenario ruins a better follow up storyline.
Obi wan had his own thing going with Satine tho it never goes completely they both know each others attachments
@@B-52H But it still never gets off the ground. They're both married to duty.
I love the idea of padme saying "I am the senate"
Man, my heart breaks on what could have been! This was well done, good sir! Well done indeed!
Luke and Leah: Become Jedi younglings
Anakin when they don't do the house chores: "So you have chosen death"
This scenario would just breed a new even more scary monster of the dark side though. Seeing as the force would be so unbalanced in favour of the light
That would be really interesting though..
Not really, as, according to Lucas, the Dark Side itself is the imbalance
We need a what if series it's that simple I would love to see this animated
Considering Palpatines lightning was bending back Windus lightsaber, Im not so sure he would have made it back to the Council Chamber.
@@Tv-nv7st I believe George said Mace won the lightsaber duel....Yoda also won the lightsaber duel, but he didnt win. The book indicates that Palpatines lightning was warping Windus lightsaber and that he couldnt hold him back. It is far from clear whether Windu would have won the fight.
@@kirkdavis2881 Well books are pretty quentionable sources especially with the new format of what’s canon and not.
@@Tv-nv7st What has he ever said about the lightning attack, though?
