I'm choked up about the service shutdown too 😭. Thanks for capturing this for posterity ✌️

Yep, good times. Sad I’ll only get to continue playing with my Stadia friends who moved to Xbox. 😢

Hey does the controller conversion to bluetooth need to happen before the service shuts down tonight or can I do that later? I've got two controllers that I'd like to have as functional as possible for future projects.

You just have to do the controller conversion before 31 Dec 2023. Best to do it after Stadia shuts down if you want to keep playing on Stadia tonight.

Great video Chuck, as usual. I'm not trusting Google with most things, especially when it comes to last. Have you lost a lot of money in your library? Any compensation from Google? Did you pay the full price for each, i.e., $60 for the latest AAA title? I've put all my trust into Steam when it comes to Gaming. My account will turn 19 years old this year, and I have an estimated spend of $4000 on it for about 400 games. Seeing it all disappear one day is frightening.

What's gonna be your replacement? G Force? Game Pass?

Yep, Series S with Game Pass Ultimate. Xbox feels superior... game selection far superior. Both controller and cloud play feel like downgrades though. Stadia's tech and controller was indeed first class!
