Really? 8 of the starting 11 were Ange's team. 2 others were not Rodgers signings according to fans last season (Kuhn/Bernardo)...the only Rodgers signing in the side was Schmeichel who this season has made 1 notable save. Rodgers is trying to sell the fans the Kingston Bridge and it looks like they're buying.

We're basically playing Ange-ball with one minor tweak and that is, Kyogo dropping short on occasion. All the rotations that are happening out wide are 100% Angeball, that was entirely missing last season. The players look much more comfortable playing this way...the acid test will be if Brendan lets them play like that in Europe or he reverts to his more conservative style.
That was my impression as well .. Sunday was very much Angeball. However I believe it is even better than that. Brendan is a much better tactician and can improve individual players better than Ange, imho. A more powerful midfield with fast wingers and Kyogo now more comfortable in his new box-to-box role is a really exciting prospect for this season?

--> Just about every player has improved during this past season. --> But, not only are individuals getting better, the squad is an example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. The team really understands what the manager wants, and how each piece fits in the system.
One thing is for certain , we have to win at least two of the home games in the CL to have any chance of progressing! History is not on our side but it’s a clean slate and hopefully we can make a better impression this season!😁🍀
