Yes video and photos both but not for blogging or youtube I have realme xt I want to try different penorama shots I prefer to use gimble app because it has different types of photography and video modes
@@hardikviradiya8031 for what you are telling me I would suggest Smooth Q3 if you want to shoot at 24fps, assuming your phone supports that with that gimbal. OM3 is the next choice. iSteady Mobile + next. iSteady X2 doesn't have panorama shots, it's like the X, but difference is that it has a remote and now it has a bigger battery with 2 way charging (like the V2)
Thanks for making this video! Could I get your input on how this works with multiple people? What happens if 2 people are in frame at the same time. What happens if one person is in frame, they leave and a second person then enters the frame (such as one person giving a speech and then when they're done, a second person takes the stage and gives their speech). Thanks for any help on this. I'm interested in using this to film a live event but wasn't sure how it would handle multiple people with the tracking.
I'm sorry for the super late response. RUclips has a funny way to show me the comments with no responses, some of them quite old. I just responded to 3 messages that were 1 year old that I have never seen before. Anyway, the AI will keep tracking the main subject that initiated the tracking. If he steps out of the frame and someone else steps at the same point, the AI may or may not recognize that person

👍💝 I forgot to ask a question…🤦🏻♀️ ❓What is the folding lock and unlock for? The item located near the top of where the gimble twists & turns (item # 07 in the user manual). It doesn’t seem to “lock or unlock” anything. I found out that it takes 2 hours to fully charge the battery from empty to full. For some reason none of the reviews mention it & only mention how long the battery lasts.
Not sure what's that part (mine did not come with a user manual or I lost it), best if you could send me a pic to my Instagram account @ottojulian_ You are right about the times it takes to charge the battery. I will try to include that information, although times can vary depending on the charger people use
Nice review! So does the Hohem have tracking on the rear camera as well? Also I saw some other review that said the inception mode is partially visually blocked by the motor
the sensor doesn't flip around as I said on the video HY. I have a trick for this but I need to test it more to be sure that is something that I can suggest. the inception mode if you go all the way "around" it will see the arm, you just need to either cut that part out, or not use the long inception mode

I will be recording my footage at 4K60, but on Android smartphone, so there is no 4K60 in Hohem Pro. So I will use FiLMiC Pro or/and Native app for my video footage. And now there is my question, what kind of physical buttons of Hohem iSteady V2 and included Bluetooth Remote Control (X2 version) work with FiLMiC Pro and Native app? Will D-Pad, Recenter Gimbal, Horizontal/Vertical, Modes Change, Record Button will work without Hohem Pro in FiLMiC Pro? May you be so kind and check it for me? hello! most buttons will work while using your native camera app or filmic pro since they are tied to the gimbal and not to the app, for example, the joystick, and the buttons to change orientation, re-center, and changing gimbal modes. The record button might not work (it doesn't on my device) and I think the remote will work fine but I can't confirm because I never tested that out. Hope this helps, stay safe!
Thanks for the review! I don't care about shooting anything with a mobile phone, but what if a small compact camera was used with this gimbal? If an RX100 or ZV1 could be get with this gimbal, that would be an absolutely killer setup!.
Agreed! I tried something with the same dimensions and weight of the gopro and it works! Tried a small rgb light, same. I think the RX100 is under 250 grams, that should be interesting to try out!!!
The weight of the Sony ZV-1 is 290gr including batteries and the RX100 series is about 250g. That is why I'm asking.. the maximum load of this gimbal and the weight of these small cameras are pretty much within spec. Maybe a small counterbalance would need to be used or a creative way to attach them, but I'm thinking actually it would be possible and very cool if so!
290 is over the limit for this gimbal, but the RX100 could be a winner! Hohem could also implement this on stronger gimbals, I just think that this has a lot of potential

I understand that you must sign into the application to access the features. If I am traveling abroad and do not have access to a digital network does this mean that the gimbal features available via the application will not be available to me? I know everyone assumes that digital networks are available everywhere but that's just not the case. If the application must be signed into that limits the area the product can be used. Do I have the right?
to use the app it doesn't need an internet connection. Some gimbals will need you to activate the gimbal while having internet but that's just the first time you use them, but to download the app the first time you also need internet right? Anyway, the answer is no, the app doesn't need you to sign in or to have internet

I am buying the Samsung s23 ultra. It comes on Friday (2/17/23). I am truly struggling with my gimbal purchase because of the may incompatibilities with gimbals and android phones, especially ones with multiple cameras. Any thoughts to help me along. I have looked at Hohem, DJI, Zhyium, Powervision, and others. I know any one gimbal isn't going to be perfect but I really don't want to purchase a gimbal where half of the features are limited because I have an android phone. @@stevescukanec7392 Hey Steve, you are welcome and hey, thanks for subscribing to my channel, it means a lot to me. so here is the thing: for your S23 ultra, this gimbal (V2) might not be the right one, because the V2 is somehow of a small one and I feel that it's best for smaller sized phones. The Ultra is....big! as you said, no gimbal will be perfect, but the limitations that they have are quite similar. There is a video in my channel talking about those limitations on the DJI Osmo Mobile 6. With that being said, that one is actually a good gimbal that will support your phone and it's lightweight and portable. Option B is to wait a few weeks to see what the competition will come up with. BTW, if we are talking about brands, I tend to like DJI, Zhiyun, Hohem and Moza. Other brands are ok but need more work. Zhiyun needs improvement with their tracking with Android phones, so this might be a point to consider for your S23

OK - So I have a 3rd option, I will get the OM6 based on your advise, but I do get a 4 week trail with the device so I give it a try and then in the mean time keep an eye on the tech. Great video. Thank you. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to rotate the gimbal upside down and get a rightside view at low angles. The final video is always upside down.
when you flip the gimbal upside down for those low angle shots, you need to make sure that the phone is flipping over, otherwise your video will be upside down
@@OttoJulian_ if I have the setting to "roll (auto rotate)" then it does rotate but the camera is still upside down and the AI sensor is at the bottom. If I turn off roll (auto rotate) then I can carefully rotate the gimbal upside down, without rotating and the camera and AI sensor are the right side up. This is the only way I can film low to the ground footage. Ideally, I would think that the gimbal would rotate to the upright position when I immediately turn it upside down, but all it does is keep the camera upside down. It's super confusing.

Hi, as you know any electronic device is bound to fail no matter the brand. Hohem is a good brand for what I've seen and I've had their basic isteady X for a while and still working the same (like you said, taking good care of it). Yeah you can mount many devices on their clamp, including most gopro cameras

it will work with any app that currently works with your phone, because the tracking doesn't depend on any app. You could be watching a movie with the tracking on and the gimbal will follow you, just like magic
Thanks for your review. On Pan Mode & All lock Mode, When you try to tilt it, it follows, right? I think it is the drawback of small gimbal. Please correct me if I am wrong.
@@OttoJulian_ When I tilt 45 degree and above, put it back to normal position on those modes and it doesn't come back to normal (straight) position. It stays on tilt position and I need to double press on/off button to recenter (straight) it. Do you also notice it or is it just happening to me? 😁 Pls help me verify it. Thanks
@@thetphyoemaung4296 i have it next to me, and yes, it does that. It just doesn't know where the starting point is at. I think when you use this kind of gimbals you are not supposed to pass their tilt angle. After all, the idea is not to tilt.

But yeah, the shorter the arm the less it will "tolerate" those movements... for example the isteady lineup suffers from this

Want to see more on the back cameras. They should just put a slide button on the handle to select modes. Multiple presses is not really good choice.

no, you can set the follow speed to fast but it's not as fast as sport mode on other gimbals

hi, the problem with the ZV1 is that it weights 294 grams or so, and that's past the maximum recommended payload of the iSteady V2 (280grams)

It is a smaller gimbal that has a few limitations compared to a bigger gimbal. I'll have a video talking about this on Saturday

Great video. Thank you. For the life of me I cannot figure out how to rotate the gimbal upside down and get a rightside view at low angles. The final video is always upside down.
when you flip the gimbal upside down for those low angle shots, you need to make sure that the phone is flipping over, otherwise your video will be upside down
@@OttoJulian_ if I have the setting to "roll (auto rotate)" then it does rotate but the camera is still upside down and the AI sensor is at the bottom. If I turn off roll (auto rotate) then I can carefully rotate the gimbal upside down, without rotating and the camera and AI sensor are the right side up. This is the only way I can film low to the ground footage. Ideally, I would think that the gimbal would rotate to the upright position when I immediately turn it upside down, but all it does is keep the camera upside down. It's super confusing.

Hi, as you know any electronic device is bound to fail no matter the brand. Hohem is a good brand for what I've seen and I've had their basic isteady X for a while and still working the same (like you said, taking good care of it).
Yeah you can mount many devices on their clamp, including most gopro cameras

it will work with any app that currently works with your phone, because the tracking doesn't depend on any app. You could be watching a movie with the tracking on and the gimbal will follow you, just like magic

You are welcome! When you tilt on those modes it will keep the position but not for long, the tilt angle is very limited.

When I tilt 45 degree and above, put it back to normal position on those modes and it doesn't come back to normal (straight) position.
It stays on tilt position and I need to double press on/off button to recenter (straight) it.

I think when you use this kind of gimbals you are not supposed to pass their tilt angle. After all, the idea is not to tilt.

@@thetphyoemaung4296 I appreciate your feedback!! Yeah this is something that I haven't payed a lot of attention to, since I won't tilt the gimbal too much and when I need to I will unlock it. But yeah, the shorter the arm the less it will "tolerate" those movements... for example the isteady lineup suffers from this

@@lswoodcraft unfortunately on my last gimbal testing with Smooth Q3 and OM4 just a week or so ago, they didn't work either
