- The Suzuki V-Stroms take us down wind swept roads and somehow we don't fall off. We stop and tell a couple stories and find Impressive Human in a small Green River restaurant. This was a highlight of the trip. We tour with you through the ultra cool Arches Ntl Park and end with some observations on the motorcycles, gear, and the day.
I would love nothing more then to get to go ride like this with my father.
Tim's owl will forever be on the shed.
WOW after a certain point (no spoilers) i realized why I don't just like this video I love it. If you go back a few months on the videos with the main channel you'll see why I love this "flashback." Enuf said. Thanks for posting this trip in the entirety.
Love the adventure vids. Arches park is awesome. Reminds me of family vacations we took when I was a kid.
Hey Nutn, Don't mess with Texas! Pecos here, where for you? Liking your videos, backpacking, guns , gear, bikes, cars, military stories or what ever. Thanks for your memories.
Definitely interested in you doing a bike gear breakdown. Love the bike vids, keep them coming.
It's likely on it's way at some point. Stay tuned, once things thaw out over here it'll probably get done. -Doodle
Luv'n the Texas Plates! Got my Owl Sticker... Thanks Brother. Be safe & have a great X-Mas to you & all TNPr's! Love all you guys. Mikey & DeDee in Texas :-)
I had a VStrom DL1000 and loved it. Traded for a Yamaha FJR1300. FJR is much better for touring unless you get off road. Love the adventure videos, keep them coming!!
Awesome video!
I'd be very interested in seeing what all you carry on your bikes.
I love Arches. I have not been there since I was a kid.. that place sure leaves a lasting impression.
Hahaha!! I was busting up when you were talking about the GoPro remote not working and TD gave a sarcastic thumbs up.
Love it! Keep the motorcycle vids coming Nutn!
Gotta love a good road trip. I bet a bike would even be that much more fun.
Nutn, I love when you post videos like this. I'm going to college at Westminster next year and can't wait to explore the state!
Born in Texas??? I knew there was something about you that I liked.
Nutn, love the TNP Adventure Rider vids :) Cant wait for more bike vids:) be safe and God Bless
Cool footage with ultra Zen like music.
I love the Adventure bike videos Nutnfancy; keep them up next spring!
Got to see the area around Zion National Park and hiked a bit of the Narrows for the first time last year. Absolutely love it and will be back on a bike. Thanks for the video!
I'm so glad your bringing out old stuff! Wish you'd edit and post something that didn't make the cut in like 2010 to give us some perspective
Awesome, thanks for taking us along. Love your videos Nutn
Awesome video. You and Doodle are an inspiration to me. I'm digging my self out of debt. Looking forward to getting a Strom as a gift to myself for getting out of debt. Keep up the Adventure Rider vids. Looking forward to your loadout vid on the V-Strom. Rock On.
This has to be my favorite riding video, awesome to be able to follow you in your adventures.
LOVE these adventure videos! Keep it up Nutn'!
Tim
Great video work as always. Look forward to ADV bike setup vid, Ride n' eat!
Fantastic video! That wind sure seemed strong.
You had me at guns and knives & now this!? Man you guys know how to party!
Love the riding videos!!!! Thanks for sharing.
I've tried the blueberry lemonade based on your love of it. Too sweet for me! I love the berry pomegranate myself! It's all I drink anymore, lol.....
Oh, love the vid too! Wish I had the time and money to do stuff like that!
Hard to beat a Suzuki for reliability. Would like to know what jacket and helmet you're wearing. Love the Hi-Viz on both. Utah is beautiful, stunning, rugged. Thanks for sharing your trip and observations.
Very cool! I love it!
And sure I love to know your load out!
I've done a 850 Mile trip from Holland to Spain on an old 80cc 2stroke, and it was epic and scary at times. I broad my own smoked bacon, hamock, sleeping bag. But also carried 16 pnd of diving gear. Off cause my piston broke down, and had to be welded because they're not made any more. Also I had to work through several flat tires.
Great vid. Reminded me of being in Moab with family a little bit ago. Going back now for my four day weekend next weekend.
Flip was here! The best RideNEat. 16:02, "she gave me the option so I pulled the trigger man… yeah, spicy for the both of us. Yeah, life's too short to eat mild." Amen doodle.
Love it! I've rode my bike around some but I am just itching for the weather to ease up just a bit to take a longer ride.
I'm pretty sure they hid Airwolf in there somewhere. And I kinda felt for the folks on the motorcycles during the buffalo jams in Yellowstone - that would be a little nerve-wracking.
love the vid nutnfancy keep them coming
Nutn let me tell you something I'm not a biker and maybee never will be but I watch your bikevids nevertheless. Please keep them comin, wether the audience is supportive or not
I to been around, and found out, its cheaper to sleep at the motor inn than camping out. Not right away, mind you, got to learn the rope$. I'm surprised you didn't see any Tumbleweeds with those winds. Not to take away from Arches, that's awesome to. My favorite Road is I-25 Colorado. You should give em a eyeful of that.
Those rock formations were beautiful!
Thanks for sharing Nutn!
The DL-650 is fast and powerful....LMAO! Not
I hate touring on little bikes...shift buzz ....shift buzz.......then shift and wring it out some more! Yuk!
A bike gear breakdown video would be great, please do one.
Dude, I'm down in Moab right now, just checked out Arches today and going to Canyonlands tomorrow... Might try and check out that restaurant on the way out to SLC
Great videos. Aerostitch sells "glove fluid" to make any set of gloves work with a touchscreen.
I feel dumb now.. You answer my question at 9min in.. Glad to know you have some Texas blood. Long live the Republic!
Cool adventure! One day I'm getting back into motorbikes too, when my sons are old enough :p ... hope my better half doesn't read this ;)
Thanks for more bike vids.
Get the app. It rocks. Great vid as always.
I am interested in your Adventure bike setup and what you bring. Thanks for the videos. These are awesome.
If you are having extreme drifting in windy conditions, you can drop the front end by about 20mm in the triple trees and it will help to plant the front end a bit. I did that with my 2004 weestrom and it helped quite a bit.
Good vid and by the way happy Thanksgiving since you obviously forgot.
Love it, "life's too short to eat mild"
Geez, I had to go out and buy some blueberry lemonade Mio after this video.
No regrets.
I am perfectly fine with bike videos being double owl only feature. As long as I get to watch them.
Nutn...check out Colorado. I've been all over this country and there are things here that can't compare...I've been through the pacific northwest with the combo of the mountains and ocean. That's a close rivalry for me for the natural beauty I've found here as a native!
I think it's kind of funny how you use the GoPro so often, but seem to have nothing but trouble with it. I'm not saying I don't appreciate the footage, but is there really nothing better out there? I'm super curious now. How did you fare with the Contour HD. If I recall correctly, you had a Contour strapped to an M1 Garand at one point.
Great upload nutn..
I own and ride an 09 SV650sf and love that thing. So much fun for a smaller bike. I am planning on buying an adventure touring bike as well. Looking at the 2015 v-strom 1000 adventure or maybe even a BMW f800gs or r1200gs.
Good video, NutnFancy. Utahans have close-access to some of best parks in the USA.
A good discussion about motorcycles at the end by brainy TNPrs. Thar be some bikers that would place a TNP irked-owl sticker over the tachometer & not worry about rpms (nor would they carry extra gasoline).
Please continue the series.
I love the ride and eat vids
You don't see rock formations like that here in Florida.
To do list:
V-Strom 1000 (duracoated in coyote tan); with my SOG Flash 1, USK, and triple owl sticker while shooting an ILS into KLFI with my AR15.
the buffet at the Wynn blows the Bellagio away!
i still love the bike vids
Fantastic video LC!....Soundtrack cred???
hey nutn's you rock! thanks for the video on your instrumentation looks like you are running a cell phone on the left some kind of remote control and a gps in the tank bag? but you seem to be running a navigator on the phone so what is the GPS for?
So would you drop the V-Stroms for a Multistrada in a heartbeat, or are you happy w/ the Suzuki?
love these videos
Get some Moto-Mule Trailers!
please share your adventure gear set up!
It's weird how there seems to be a very common crossover interest. I know a LOT of knife guys that are also pepper heads. Guys that like the ultra hot peppers and sauces. Obviously Cutlerylover but I have been into that and known others with the same common interest (long before RUclips) that you would not otherwise think of as having a connection. They're both a bit unusual/non mainstream on their own. Anyone else?
I know! I have & review a lot of knives on my channel. I also love very hot peppers! My best friend also loves knives and very spicy food! What is the connection?
TS O'Day We're men! It's just a dude thing, we like the endorphin rush that accompanies super heat. I'm into just a touch of ghost pepper in my salsa. So awesome. -Doodle
Its so good to see you in the comments man! Speaking for all TNPers. We love that you take the time for that sort of thing. Also I am currently growing some Ghost pepper plants as well as some Trinidad Scorpion pepper plants. Should be intence!
TS O'Day How are you doing with your plants? I just started growing myself but too late in the year. July.Didn't think to before, new hobby. I have one Trinidad scorpion inside under a light. It has gotten fairly bushy(but not that big.About 2' tall x 2 1/2' across the top) but no fruit yet. I'll try and keep that one going and start a whole new round much earlier. Any tips greatly appreciated.
Same boat you are in man! I started them late and they are still in the green house but I am thinking about trying to move them in the house. New hobbie for me to. I think it is probably a safe bet that since you like hot peppers you also love you some guns! LOL! Stay in touch- TS O'Day
BTW nutn, get a redhead wind protector on your camera. Cheap and US made by a known motovlogger.
I agree with John. Definitely worth it for the betterment of audio quality.
V-strom 1000 is available in FDE also....
im interested in getting an adventure bike but i want somethin reliable, but also something that the engine can be found in deifferent types of machines kind of like yamaha with their bike and jetski. also something thats good both on and off road. if you can suggest something i would appreciate it. thank you.
Sweet. Rest of ride please
Preeeeeeetty.
What is the small two piece windscreen you use on your vstrom?
adventure bike system setup video!
Like the licence plate
nutnfancy seriously mate, you RIDE a motorcycle you DRIVE a car!
How come your your bikes have license plates are from texas?
And I thought the 20 mph winds up here in NW Ohio were bad...
Nice Nutn' knows spanish.
Tactival D. Lol
Couldn't you fashion a cone made out of something as simple as cardboard to lower drag and increase the aerodynamic properties of your side bags? I know you don't have a wind tunnel at home (waiting for the review if you do) but a little math could give you an optimal angle to position a cone out of cardboard on both ends to increase fuel mileage and handling.
i need a motorcycle!!
The v-storm 650 isnt as powerful but it can put up with the punishment. I believe people doing 2 up with as much weight as you, they just dont care as much about how much mpg they are gonna lose or how hard that engine works. Honestly who does care about how hard it works to do it? its a proven engine and its made to pull those RPMs. No doubt that the 1000 will do it better but the 650 will do it man.
Have you ever seen what the kawi KLR will do? It's not fast but it will pull all that weight up freaking sliding rock trails :D
What's up with this Texas license plate Nutn?
Windscreen!
DL 650 is great power for a 650 fellas.
