I've played more one's justice 2 online than any other fighting game I own. It's definitely my favorite arena fighter at least. Though, I played oj1 when it came out but it's not that great.
Sick video, i love it whenever a fighting game fan in general doesn't just bash on arena fighters. CC2 games, KLKIf and MHOJ is also the good ones too. Definitely a new sub. If you're doing this again, would you try out PSP fighters too? Lyrical Nanoha Gears of Destiny is what i recommend, i tried it one time and it's really underatted for a mahou shoujo fighting game, I even made a montage for that one too because it's just sick, oh there's also SoulCalibur Broken Destiny, sure it's just a portable SC4, but Algol and Kratos is cool, I played those games using PPSSPP if you're wondering.
Hmm. I'm already working on the next of these videos but I don't have any emulators and I don't have a psp. I'll see what I can do but, since the next vid is already gonna be like twice as long, don't get your hopes up. When it comes to arena fighters, I do like them but honestly, the only one I've ever really seen as a super solid game was one's justice.
@@roguepenbot Cool, i will be there when the next video eventually dropped. Yeah, out of all the arena fighters, the ones i do see as solid games are pretty much only Hinokami and MHOJ in terms of depth, gameplay and combo routes. Naruto doesn't allow for freeform combo because of the simpler buttons and also Subs exist, and KLK is too clunky at times. Good luck on the next multi-game combo video!
Ooh. Which ones? I'm making a new video at the moment to follow this one up so, if you have any requests for specific characters from those games, I'll incorporate them.
I've seen a couple of people ask this. I annotate the songs at the bottom left of the screen. The first one is the instrumental version of "My Heartbeat for You" from Phantom Breaker Omnia. The game has a sick soundtrack and is part of the reason why I wish more people played it. This is a link to the Instrumental track: music.ruclips.net/video/uSPYLpMrAHM/видео.html&si=UN5mdDVuSEX7dymj And this is to the vocal version: music.ruclips.net/video/3qaMalq6qfY/видео.html&si=VQDV7e2fiTdHPGv1
For the inclusion in this video, it was between heartbeat and the main theme: music.ruclips.net/video/U9Bw6BOnavw/видео.html&si=6du1OCRk10vN2c3X Though, heartbeat has a better Instrumental version. Give the whole soundtrack a listen if you haven't. It's great.
@roguepenbot42 I've played some of the games on your video. Those being One's Justice 1 and 2 (I hate them both). I've played Naruto Storm back in the past. I've also played other games such as Super Smash Bros as a whole, Playstation all star battle, etc. But I wanted to get myself into the real fighting games. I've been wanting to play many other fighting games. I've played Skullgirls, Melty Blood, Street Fighter 3, 4, and I've even played Guilty Gear Strive. One thing I've noticed when I try to dedicate my time into fighting games has to be the fact that I forget combos incredibly easily. Honestly, nearly any part of a fighting game could be something that I could gradually get used to when I'm playing the game. Such as learning about frame data, match ups, etc. But everything falls apart when it comes to trying to learn a combo, which I've always felt like was the most important part of a fighting game. I don't know if there are combos that I can just make on my own along the way, or if there's specific mandatory combos that I'm supposed to be sticking to. Its just overall, far too difficult for my mind to grasp.
@@eyesofdeathperception6730 Ok, so sorry to hear that about one's justice. And also, the games you just mentioned are games that have super intense playerbases. They're games with legacy skill that can be super rough for beginners. SF3 is probably the biggest example of that. If I were to tell you anything it would be to try making your first fighting game one that's new. GranBlue Rising is a great example of that. The game is super fun and it has a huge player base tight now because it is new. That means that the online will be full of people from every skill level which is what is really important when it comes to learning a fighting game. I'm curious of why you tried out SF 3 and 4 before 5 and 6. And also melty blood is a wild game. If you're new to fighting games, the sheer speed of that game will feel pretty disorienting.
@@pecemakor917 I'm actually working on it right now. I'm including some moded stuff too like sfv mysterious mod. The main point of the next vid though is that, on top of new combos for each of these games, I'm also including retro stuff like kof 2002 or sf alpha.
I just have a habbit of buying any fighting game I see. The problem is that I end up not even playing most of them. Like, I've got 2 hours on Persona Arena. It's a bit of an addiction and I wanted to put it on full display in this video.
I'm surprised such a fighting game enthusiast resisted to the tempation of ArcSys' cheap steam sales to this day Oh never mind, saw under another comment that you only covered PS5
Well, I will admit. I have a problem and buying fighting games is that problem. I tend to buy a lot of them but I never play any. But, trust me. If I were to cover my pc games too, this video might get a bit long. Although, that is what I'm going to be doing with my next post anyway so.... Blegh

Left side you mean? Name the games and I'll do their combos on the left side for the next vid. Edit: Just thought about it and you're right. I was just dumb. Still though. I'm all ears.
Arena Fighter. And yes it is. Just as much as 3d, 2d, and platform fighters, arena fighters are their own subgenre of fighting games. I don't even like platform fighters. In fact I despise them for not having the same parts of fighting games that I enjoy. Despite that, I still consider them to be fighting games because they share the core values that all fighting games have.
They're called arena fighters. Also, it's fine to have never liked them. I just meant that even if you don't like them, that doesn't mean that they aren't fighting games.
@@KzWazoo That I disagree with. Fighting games boil down to neutral and setplay with an opponent. I feel like something can no longer be called a fighting game if it skips out on the more intimate player versus player interactions in favor of team stuff or open world elements. I guess in simple terms, if there aren't healthbars and a form of neutral resembling 2d, 3d, arena, or platform fighters, I don't think it's a fighting game. There's even the whole aspect of respawning which would be a nono in fighting games.

Long Live Fighting Games ❤️
I'm surprised that I knew and played almost the half if them
Ooh. Which ones? I'm making a new video at the moment to follow this one up so, if you have any requests for specific characters from those games, I'll incorporate them.
Dude I gotta ask what the song is specifically the first one
I've seen a couple of people ask this. I annotate the songs at the bottom left of the screen.
The first one is the instrumental version of "My Heartbeat for You" from Phantom Breaker Omnia. The game has a sick soundtrack and is part of the reason why I wish more people played it.
This is a link to the Instrumental track:
music.ruclips.net/video/uSPYLpMrAHM/видео.html&si=UN5mdDVuSEX7dymj
And this is to the vocal version:
music.ruclips.net/video/3qaMalq6qfY/видео.html&si=VQDV7e2fiTdHPGv1
For the inclusion in this video, it was between heartbeat and the main theme:
music.ruclips.net/video/U9Bw6BOnavw/видео.html&si=6du1OCRk10vN2c3X
Though, heartbeat has a better Instrumental version. Give the whole soundtrack a listen if you haven't. It's great.
Nice cool amazing wombo combo
Thank you.
and i am here struggling with one single game
Well, it's all about repetition and practice. Like, the mk11 combo took me 4 hours to land.
Man. I wish I can get into fighting games. But my mental compacity can only handle up to platform fighters and arena fighters at best.
Which games have you tried?

KOFXV combo was godly! What platform you play on btw?
PS5. What I was going for was to record one combo in every ps game I have. So, none of my pc games.
@@roguepenbot Ah I see. Will you make a video on your pc games too?
@@pecemakor917 I'm actually working on it right now. I'm including some moded stuff too like sfv mysterious mod. The main point of the next vid though is that, on top of new combos for each of these games, I'm also including retro stuff like kof 2002 or sf alpha.

@@alainchristienemendoza9982 Well thanks. It's a problem.
@@roguepenbot What's the problem?
I just have a habbit of buying any fighting game I see. The problem is that I end up not even playing most of them. Like, I've got 2 hours on Persona Arena. It's a bit of an addiction and I wanted to put it on full display in this video.
A Kokonoe main as well. I’m sorry ever picked up Blazblue 😭

@@InvictaRedz No. It's only on PC and XBox. I don't have a great pc and no XBox.
Idol Showdown is free so you might wanna try that
I have. But, I only did games on my PS5. On PC I've got MVC3, TFH, and a few others. When I revisit this theme I'll even include touch love arena.
I'm surprised such a fighting game enthusiast resisted to the tempation of ArcSys' cheap steam sales to this day
Oh never mind, saw under another comment that you only covered PS5
Well, I will admit. I have a problem and buying fighting games is that problem. I tend to buy a lot of them but I never play any. But, trust me. If I were to cover my pc games too, this video might get a bit long.
Although, that is what I'm going to be doing with my next post anyway so....
Blegh
I still think akira is the coolest character in any street fighter game for how well they translated the feel of rival schools combos
In general I just think SFV did a super good job in translating its capcom guest characters into super cool movesets. Lucia is the same and she'll be my sfv rep for the next vid.
Is it ok if i make a similar vid to this but different games? Thanks for the inspo

Well, that's CC2 for you. Their best online is Storm Connections, but even that sucks.
Demon slayer is not reallya fighting game, its arena brawler
Arena Fighter. And yes it is. Just as much as 3d, 2d, and platform fighters, arena fighters are their own subgenre of fighting games.
I don't even like platform fighters. In fact I despise them for not having the same parts of fighting games that I enjoy. Despite that, I still consider them to be fighting games because they share the core values that all fighting games have.
@@roguepenbotSame, i never liked Arena Brawler games somehow, and can't explain it
They're called arena fighters. Also, it's fine to have never liked them. I just meant that even if you don't like them, that doesn't mean that they aren't fighting games.
arena fighters are fighting games lol heck even for honor is a fighting game
@@KzWazoo That I disagree with. Fighting games boil down to neutral and setplay with an opponent. I feel like something can no longer be called a fighting game if it skips out on the more intimate player versus player interactions in favor of team stuff or open world elements.
I guess in simple terms, if there aren't healthbars and a form of neutral resembling 2d, 3d, arena, or platform fighters, I don't think it's a fighting game.
There's even the whole aspect of respawning which would be a nono in fighting games.
