- Welcome to Rijeka, Croatia during the most fun season of the year - Rijeka Carnival season! There are so many things to see in Rijeka, and Rijeka Carnival should be on the top of your Rijeka what to do list. Only this year, due to the pandemic, the carnival was postponed to summer. So now we have a special, summer carnival just around the corner!
Follow me through this small Rijeka carnival guide and learn some fun facts about masquerade in Rijeka, our traditions, program and what you can expect.
The main carnival parade takes place on: June 18, 2022 . Make sure to be there!

the Rijeka Carnival is one of the lagerst carnival in Europe. Rijeka has become the main carnival center in Croatia. Lots of masks, under which everyone quickly torgets about their sadness , will bring joy to the city streets all day long. The climax is when, at the end of the carnival, the great, world - famous International Carnival Cortege will pass through the city.
