  • The song "Being Here" is an ode to all the people who welcome foreign guests into their country.
It expresses the mix of feelings that come with being away from home: melancholy, loneliness, the joy of broadening your horizons, the fear of being misunderstood, hanging on to hope, and a connectedness that goes beyond language.
The original English version of Being Here was released by the songwriter Loes van Schaijk in 2021 on the album All I Ever Really Seem To Say.
A Czech-English version titled "Není se vůbec čeho bát" was released by Loes & The Acoustic Engineers feat. Anna-Marie Hradecká in 2022.
"Da budesch tuk," the most recent version (in Bulgarian and English, 2024) is a celebration of the friendship between the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Bulgaria.
    🙏 SPECIAL THANKS

    🧑‍🎤 LYRICS
Dali trevata tuk e tolkova zelena
    Dali blestjat zvezdite tolkova krasivo
No az sǎm tuk i ti si tuk do mene
    i njama veče ništo sivo
Ne se naučih kak da pazja važnite nešta
Ne se naučih kak da gi ostavjam da si trǎgnat
no kak da hvaneš v šepa vodopad
Toj iska sam prez tebe da premine
    Šte bǎde vsičko hubavo, nali
Ne viždaš li - denjat nad nas izgrjava
    Šte bǎde vsičko hubavo, nali
    Sǎrceto mi otnovo stava bjalo
Now I'm starting to see I'll never really understand
As I immerse myself into this neverending stream
Oh, it's up to you to let me be a stranger or to take my hand
And with three different languages, I try to express
What I cannot even say in my mother tongue
Sometimes I just wanna close my eyes
And capture the moment in a song
    Everything's gonna be alright
Ne viždaš li - denjat nad nas izgrjava
    Šte bǎde vsičko hubavo, nali
Мy heart is turning a lighter shade of grey
Otnovo šte mečtaja (I will keep on dreaming)
otnovo šte opitvam (I will keep on trying)
    Dori kogato ot umora
usmihvam se prez sǎlzi (I can smile as I am crying)
Šte bǎde hubavo, nali (everything's gonna be alright)
Ne viždaš li - denjat izgrjava
Šte bǎde hubavo, nali (everything's gonna be alright)
    Sǎrceto mi stava bjalo
