I discovered Attic Journals at Paper Source. They had on clearance for $1 a set of 3 small, simple, rustic journals stapled together with a few blank papers inside and rescued illustrated pages from children's books for the cover. You can probably make your own, but you might find their other product interesting, which is repurposed book covers made into spiral journals. You can choose your paper, whether blank, lined, dotted--even watercolor paper. They cost $20 each, but what's more you can send them your own book for the covers to be made into your own journal for $28. They also have pendants made from old library books, and other unique things. I thought you might enjoy the website! 😊
Cahier is just a French word for notebook, it's pronounced ky (rhymes with sky) - eh (like a Canadian). So it sounds like ky-yay. 😊 Thanks for sharing and best wishes for your pregnancy!
You could alternate between your Doraemon and gingham covers. Or just put any A6 notebook inside - maybe scribble down notes re: the new baby? Take care ✨
I wanted to get one of Abigail Crafts' A6 covers, too, but some reviews say the synthetic penloop material peels off. How has yours held up? The Hobonichi covers have studier material for the pen loops, I think.
I haven’t had issues with mine, but I’m also using a slimmer pen that doesn’t stretch the loop. One of the major reasons why I chose a non-Hobonichi brand cover was because of cost for the A5 size, especially for being a cover of a notebook that I wouldn’t be reaching for on a daily basis.
You've mentioned Kinbor before, but I forgot about it and ordered a 2024 Hobonichi A6 original. I've ordered a Hobonichi A6 back in 2020, but it went unused, such a waste!, but next year I plan to give it a go.
Moleskine pocket is my best friend, but this year the paper seems awful- it can't handle half the pens I used in its predecessor. I cannot find an alternative, other than Leuchtturm, that has the same weekly+memo set up but with fountain pen friendly paper. Do you have any suggestions? The hobonichi weeks comes close, but Im really attached to that pocket size as it fits in even my smallest purses. Im willing to try the Leuchtturm, but I just want to know if there are any other options!
I have only seen the leuchtturm as being the closest layout for the pocket moleskine. Leuchtturm paper is actually pretty good for various inks; I agree, moleskine paper has really lost its paper quality in the last 6-8 years. It used to be so much better and a lot of people complain about not being able to take inks. Definitely give leuchtturm a try! I really liked it for bullet journaling and have found several fountain pen inks work well on the paper. And pocket size comes in so many fun colors.
Does your current daughter already know about the new sibling that’s on the way?😃 Also too you better prepare yourself for The New Journey and Writing Experience that’s coming up for you!😏

So glad to see you back ! Great line up.
Enjoyed watching! 🙂

Thanks for clarifying, now I know! Apparently, my high school French failed me here 😂.
I’m a fan of kinbor too ❤
I love my smartfee covers. They are nicer than Moterm in their feel.
That navy weeks is going to look stunning with the constellation cover on cover 😊
I’m excited to see them paired up. 😊 Thanks for watching, Emily!

Ooh, I do like the idea of alternating, so both get some use. Thanks for the suggestion!

I hope it works out for you! The paper quality for ink usage is actually pretty decent.

Thank you! I'll try it... look at me in January already planning my 2025 agenda lol 😂

My daughter's very excited for her new sibling :) And it'll be interesting to see how journaling changes with two kiddos, lol.
