I’m sorry, I will not be paying $300+ for a giant, heavy appliance that is not essential. It’s a luxury/convenience item, unless you bake a LOT. Like almost daily. …this has been kitchen thoughts with Emily. 😜
I hear you… I waited 10 years before I got a KitchenAid mixer. It makes baking so much easier. I got mine as a gift but I see them for sale on marketplace all the time.

I got mine because I worked for a large retailer and it was the best model and I got it for a steal. Otherwise I wouldn’t have one either. Funny though…. we now have two because my MIL moved into a nursing home and she had one. I’ve tried to give it away but everyone has one! 😂

Die Hard has ALWAYS been a Christmas movie in our house and now our kids are obsessed! We count every Christmas song, every Christmas tree, decor and mentions and it's throughout the entire movie. I don't know how anyone can think it's not a Christmas movie lol. And yes, it is THAT good.
Die hard is my favorite Christmas movie. It is one of the few movies I enjoy watching over again, I'm usually a one and done, with movies. Die Hard 2 was even good but the character was so relatable it made it great. Please let us know what you're u think once you watch it.

It a Wonderful Life is my Christmas Eve choice every single year! My mom, sister and I used to watch it every year on Christmas Eve and she’s been gone now for almost 14 years and I still watch it every year and think of all the wonderful Christmas memories we have ! I keep seeing that saying” these are the good old days” and that has never rang so true to me as it has in the last few years watching my grandchildren 🎄 🎅

@ I went through a purging phase a couple years ago where I got rid of any book I actually wasn’t that interested in as well as any book that is rated less than 4⭐️ on GR. Then I made it my mission to read any book that had been on my list for more than a year. Now my list is always so short 😅
Tyler, my electrician husband happened to be watching yesterday’s vlog with me and he was saying the wiring issue is probably a broken neutral if you were getting power with the pen tester. Or alternatively a faulty pen tester as they can be finicky. A multi-meter, if Ben has one, may give a more accurate reading. Hopefully ye get that sorted between the pair of ye! 🤗

My mom passed in 2013 and when my brother and I were going through her room cleaning it out we found several kitchen garbage bags full of the address stickers various people would send for free in the mail hoping you will donate money to their cause.....anyhoo some of them were so old they were done on manual type writers. We have laughed so hard about this for the last ten + years now. No one needs that many address stickers.

Since you also like random facts, Jimmy Stewart took a break from acting and served in World War II and It’s A Wonderful Life was his first movie after returning from the war. There are parts in the movie where he was very emotional and from the reading I’ve done. It was very real emotions because of how the war changed him.

It’s so funny hearing Jess talk about growing up with siblings and shouting to be heard. My partner is from a big Italian family and any event with all of them is a culture shock in terms of volume. I genuinely enjoy just sitting in the middle of the room and listening to all of them shout at each other. I am hype for the books, even thought most of this year has been eaten up by Brandon Sanderson’s books. 😂 I end up reading at lot of the memoirs and nonfiction you guys recommend.

I only have two siblings (both younger than me) and between them and my mom I have never been able to get a word in edge wise! I get interrupted a lot! So if I wanted/want to be heard I have had to talk up loud. I am always told that I talk a lot and too loud….loud, yeah, probably so because it became a habit through the years to just be heard. Do I talk a lot around them, not really but if I ever have a chance to talk I get it while the getting is good. My husband is the same way as them so when I am around others I do talk a lot because I don’t get too very often. Also, I talk fast because it became a habit to do that also to try and say all that I want to say.
WHAT?!? As musical theater people I can’t believe you only recently saw White Christmas and haven’t seen Meet Me in St. Louis; both are favorites since childhood. I currently live in St. Louis and fun fact Judy Garland’s iconic Christmas dress from the movie is on loan here at our local history museum. Watch the movie and take a weekend trip to St. Louis to see the dress. You won’t be disappointed, but have tissues for Jessi.

So if I wanted/want to be heard I have had to talk up loud. I am always told that I talk a lot and too loud….loud, yeah, probably so because it became a habit through the years to just be heard. Do I talk a lot around them, not really but if I ever have a chance to talk I get it while the getting is good. My husband is the same way as them so when I am around others I do talk a lot because I don’t get too very often. Also, I talk fast because it became a habit to do that also to try and say all that I want to say.

WHAT?!? As musical theater people I can’t believe you only recently saw White Christmas and haven’t seen Meet Me in St. Louis; both are favorites since childhood. I currently live in St. Louis and fun fact Judy Garland’s iconic Christmas dress from the movie is on loan here at our local history museum. Watch the movie and take a weekend trip to St. Louis to see the dress. You won’t be disappointed, but have tissues for Jessi.
