I am glad that the Crown Prince is explaining this project in more detail, because there is controversy and criticism surrounding this particular project. It is a well known fact that visionaries and innovators are never celebrated in their own lifetime. There are several examples of this, men and women who we now consider pioneers in their field, but were questioned and criticized in their lifetime.
Also, much of the criticism comes from the old guard, the older generation who are fearful of the unknown and want things to stay the same.
Give credit to a leader who is willing to put part of his legacy on the line and move with the times. He is on the right path. You cannot stay where you are. You have to look to the future. That's what visionaries and innovators do.
I always use history as my teacher. Things we take for granted in today's society had its beginnings in controversy and criticism, from the light bulb to the airplane, the iPhone to the computer, and so on.
A Legacy has many parts and this is just one part of his legacy. He is a young leader and there will be more to come down the road. Time will tell if he is on the right track.

When he said we are competing with Miami I lost all respect for the guy. This is what Nepotism looks like right there people. It creates less intelligent & unqualified leaders who wants to build cities like Miami in a holy Country. He could have built an incredible infrastructures for Makkah and Medina to accommodate the largest growing religion in the world. This is what happens when rich parents send unqualified future leaders over to America to study. May Allah guide them
saudi arabia has been working on makkah and madina from the beginning, hundreds of billions have been spent, the material are top notch, one example is the tiles they use its the rarest in the world and only exist in one island, this just one example out of many, it has been and will always be the main focus (although they don't advertise it, as people go there and see for themselves) however the two holy cities worth every dollar spent. but saudi arabia is a country with many other cities and it has the funds to work on other projects my friend , i hope u have a good day.

MBS never studied abroad. He was educated in Saudi Arabia and stayed close to his Father to learn what he needed to learn.
@@ozzylink which is what Saudi did/does, you didn’t understand my comment, the main focus have always been makkah and madina since tens of millions visit it every year, out of all saudi projects throughout the years, the spent and still spending the most amount of money on it. What i was saying is they don’t advertise for 2 reasons:
1- its considered as a duty to god to take care of the holy mosques and in islam its better to seek reward from god only rather than people.
2- people who go there for hajj and umrah usually attest for efforts done and the projects made, ( like the porjects of cooling an open area in one of the hottest places to make it accommodated millions comfortably, that costs billions. I can keep going but i need to write a book to list everything.
You don’t know about any of the projects because there is advertising to it and thats because you don’t need convincing to go to makkah, its your duty as a muslim to do it, when you go you’ll see haha.
However advertising is required to convince you to visit other cities, that’s what you see and think its what they spend there money on, which is not true
