The chicken in the basket found the perfect place. I think the clear bulb cover looked the best on the lamp. You always do such a nice job displaying all your country finds👍🙋♀️

I was laughing at your grandson and his shoes…..what a sweetie …! One weekend I had my granddaughter stay here and we were going someplace.. well she wanted me to put “3” pony tails in her hair.. she was probably 7-8 years old.. one sticking out in the back and one on each side of her head….WELL …I asked her if her mother lets her wear her hair that way ..of course she says “Yessss 🤷♀️”…. I was laughing my head off ( well in my head… I wouldn’t laugh at her and embarrass her ….I SHOULD HAVE ! ). It looked so silly… People were looking at us… 🤪. Finally she says “ Grandma I want my pony tails out and just one big pony tail ! “ I think she sensed people STARRING AT HER! A red head is someone who just doesn’t blend into a crowd easily !!! LOL!!!! But today…kids walk around with pink, purple, blue , green hair !!

Hi Julie, my preference would be the glass globe. Our youngest grandson, when he was small, liked to wear two different shoes at the same time. They have a mind of their own, and we have to embrace their thinking.

I like the glass globe. It fits the style of the room better in my opinion. Also, a candle stick light fixture with a country shabby sheik country type lamp shade would look good too.
I love the glass shade Julie. My husband brought me a vintage lamp at the goodwill kind of like the one you have and I plan to use a glass shade on it. I love the Chicken on the basket very country :). The pillow cases are beautiful. Love the brass vase with the yellow flowers. Your grandson is so sweet he only took the one toy. I would use the shade along with the Edison bulb. My wife and I both came up with this idea independently and after you put the shade on it confirmed our idea. It will work.

I would love to find a ribbed cobalt blue cannister set. I saw one briefly in this video. Loved the blue and green tier platter. I also love finding extra pillowcases. Never know what you will find at Goodwill or local thrift store. My mom was the queen of finds. She has found yearbooks, Olympic festival yearbook, and other hard to find items. One thrift store employee would notify if he had something unique. One day, he pulled her aside and said i have a bag for you. It was marked $2 and had over 100 McDonald toys still in their bags.

Hi Julie, what a great trip! I liked the globe option better, it was so pretty. I also liked the little urn at the beginning, the cobalt jar at the @3:14 mark, the red platter belowed the mugs, the red mason jar, the 3 stick candle holder and the metal pitcher. I love the globe, it sort of spreads the light around. I'd like to get a crystal ashtray to use as a catch-all next to my jewelry box. That hen looks right at home in your cabinet. I can't tell where she's chipped ,great cover up job. See ya on the next thrifting trip.

On the white hen, take white toothpaste and fill in all the chipped places. Rub gently, let dry, seal with clear finger nail polish.
Julie, the globe was the right purchase I think and then latter on if You want to change the look it will not cost You much to do it. Plus, just an idea Your hutch in the corner I love and thought of an idea for a change on this ; on amazon the have a couple of vintage all coverings that look like vintage newspaper and this would look awesome as wallpaper between the shelves. I like it with the shade. Milk glass would look nice. You could also try a medium size vase upside down or a old milk container a square or a hour glass type one. I'm only seeing these in my head but I'm sure you already have these other things maybe try it and let me know

I made curtains out of a sheet similar to your pillow cases- just love that pretty type of sheets/curtains/cases.
