Good stuff Jason and a must if a person wants to run JS8 out in the field and send accurate location

Mark certainly nailed it with this app. Makes sending to APRS super easy over HF. Thanks for watching! de KM4ACK

well i really don't like the pi stuff at all its like running an atari, isn't there a windows app to do throw my gps to the program for grid square? Especially on FT8 full auto mode while driving it would work great.

Thanks, do you have a video on how to now get this in a menu or desktop shortcut? The less typing I do in the field with my little screen the better.

The author of the software has a video that should help ruclips.net/video/2RlYD3ueLgY/видео.html 73, de KM4ACK

Strange Problem....Can't get the gps to stay on and active... Purchased the U-blox7 GPS/GLONASS from Amazon....followed your GPS Install which all went fine including GPS Test....both responded "active"... been troubling shooting this for hours and found this: When the Video is either unplugged from the Pi-4 or turned off via the remote control, the GPS/GLONASS starts right up and flashes it's small green lite, also tried the second video HDMI port with same results...Tried two new 3.5A (Pi 4's take more Amps then previous Pi's) USB C Power Supplies with same results... at a loss....perhaps bad gps?

I can also bring up Terminal, type in cgps and it says no fix....then if I unplug the video, the gps dongle starts flashing....I then plug in the video cable and it shows my Longitude & Latitude fix but then the gps dongle shuts down again and I get No Fix in the Status of cgps......hmmmm

I never have a monitor hooked up to my pi so I haven’t run into this. I run headless even in the shack.

@@KM4ACK I just received another U-blox7 GPS/GLONASS gps dongle from Amazon with the same results.... I can receive 6 to 7 satellite locks without the HDMI plugged in to the Pi-4.... Plug the monitor into the HDMI port and the signal lock drops to 3 or less and No Fix..... I'll have to take this to the Raspberry Forum... When running headless, No Problem at all....
      Thanks for the videos KM4ACK!!!

@@KM4ACK Found the problem: Thanks to Mike and Clark from the Pi-4 Forum they said to use a USB Extension and move the GPS dongle away from the HDMI cables....So I found a 12 inch USB Extension and the GPS dongle immediately started flashing and locked onto 7 Satellites.... Problem Solved!!!
