This does not work at all! Even with the RCS chat features turned on the only choices that pop up after long press, is copy, delete or star....no emojis!

doesn't work on my pixel. I have this setting enabled. When I long press a message, I get a popup at the bottom saying, "message copied". I just want to "Like" a message. why is this so hard?

Important: To send or receive a reaction, everyone in the chat must:
Use an Android device.
Turn on rich communication services (RCS). Learn how to turn on chat features.
Which means that it only works if the person you're texting is also on Android and also using an SMS app with a chat feature enabled.
Thank you for pointing this out!! It didn't solve my problem, but it did help me pinpoint my issue. Updated my settings and hoping to make my life a little easier!
This doesn't work for Androids to Apple users but only android to android.
Apple slaps android users in the face by showing they can do it only 1 way to them but not in reverse.

So Everyone will need the chat features turned on and have the google messages for it to work. This is what this guy doesnt tell us.
How do I change my reaction options? I'd like to switch out an unused reaction option for the very popular, very basic red heart emoji option that I don't currently have available.
