Filey seafront is indeed relaxing, calming. Great weather, clear skies, flawless sand and cool ocean breeze. That was a great walk, I enjoyed reading the commentary along with the many interesting views. Filey looks like a great holiday destination.
Simply fabulous , Filey holds a special place in my heart , used to go there every year with my folks as a small boy , took my own children there also , so little has changed in 60 years , it remains my go to beach trip destination to this day , thank you for this lovely film 👍
Love the old place, used to have caravan at Reighton many years ago still have many fond memories used to love walking the whole bay round to the Brigg with my late wife and our boys, thankfully it has not yet lost its timeless charm
I love Filey my late mum and Dad used to have a caravan at Reighton , we had caravan there 20 odd years we used to walk to Filey on beach then catch bus back I have fond memories of that time the beach still looks as good now has it did then that was 40 odd years ago good times I’d love to go and see Filey again sometime soon. I love crazy golf that one looked fun to do 🤣 with all the different fish and Lobster 😄
We had a caravan too at Reighton gap back in the 70s loved Filey and would always go to a chip shop.called browns opp the cinema and prior to that it was just a little further down the road tucked away in a back street it was really tiny like someones front room
I went to Filey only once I believe? I remember leaving the train station and walking through a regular town center for a long time. Thinking to myself I smell no sea, hear no sea, Where are the shops to find seaside stuff? Where are the seagulls? Finally we arrived, and I was quite impress with the size of the mammoth beach! I love beach huts, so of course I had to take a picture and video of them all lined up with families inside laughing and all sunsoaked from playing in the sand.. It's a simple enough place, but lovely if you want a chilled out, relaxing day at an English seaside! Thanks for brining back some fond memories. :)
Iv walked that beach a thousand times from my mums house at Primrose Valley ! , love winter time because its quiet , in summer there are thousands of comforts everywhere !
I love Filey so much I've been coming there since I was a small child I love everything about the place the very nice coffee shops the sandy butfufule beaches. Well the list is endless I would love so much to live here one day. I've got so so much to say about this well love Filey so much
The circle is the marine weather areas used during weather forecasting. Used to be on the radio at about 1 on Sundays. The first visit was when I was about 8 in a caravan on Primrose Valley camp site, toilet was a block about 200 metres away with no street lights. My only memory is that it rained every day and we gave up and went home on the Wednesday. I enjoyed better holidays in Filey and we now live their.
Watched and been inspired by lots of your walks so much that we now reference them for new places to visit ... Lincoln being a prime example ... We've also got trips booked to Newcastle and Ludlow after viewing ..Oh almost forgot ...Off to filey in may Keep up the Good Work
Always have a day at filey when we stay at brid the boys love the beach and the walk along the top of filey Brigg is so nice the views from there are fantastic looking back to filey
Also would love to hear your stories of your time in Filey. When was the first time you went? What do you remember? What's your fondest memories of Filey and where did you stay?
My nana and grandad had a caravan on colins camp . Me and my sister used to go for a few weeks in the summer holidays. Now it's my turn to keep the tradition going by taking my granddaughter there on her first holidays. The starting point of you're tour is my own special place on top of the cliffs is where me and my grandad would just sit and talk for hours and it's where my sister's ashes were scattered a few years ago. I'd like to think could retire and move there one day . Lovely video . Keep them coming
We visited Filey in 2014 and this year both times in June and we were lucky to have beautiful weather in this equally beautiful place. I'm one of those that loves a bracing autumn and winter walk by the sea. As long as you're wrapped up it's fantastic healthy and a damn sight quieter. Thanks for uploading another first rate video with just the sound of nature.
We had a caravan at sea dale caravan site, next to the old Dennises camp, my grandad worked at filey butlins driving the little steam train around the camp in the 60s, so many fun filled times there, me and my brother spent many hours in the Corrigan's amusement arcade on cobble landing, they had all the old penny one arm bandits then, so many fun times 🤗🎡🏖️
Filey is a beautiful seaside town. I remember years ago I went to a restaurant on the front and ordered a full haddock, it was massive but beautifully cooked , £10.99 , yes but it was nearly 30 years ago 🤣
When you come to Filey again can you show other places Glen Gardens & Country Park there’s some lovely views from up there go up the long road from the Coble landing go under bridge then turn right & you’ll find it after Mccarthey & stone new builds Glen gardens is up hill from beach hut turn left then past White Lodge hotel that’s nice for a coffee then turn left after hotel & you will come to Glen Gardens there’s a big car park opposite if you drive there enjoy your videos
My favourite seaside place. Apart from the one amusement arcade it's totally unspoilt and as you mentioned has a massive beach when the tide is out. probably one of the best beaches in the land. The circle where you asked what it is, is a compass rose and water fountain, pointing to all the locations mentioned in the BBC shipping forecasts. There seems to be a constant background whining noise being recorded by your new camera.
Last time that I went to Filey was in 1989.....on holiday at Primrose Valley. If I can find a decent hotel there I'll visit, as it will definitely make a change from Scarborough.
We live in Filey maybe you could film up near The Crescent 🌙 where the bandstand is also there’s a park if you walk to the end it’s called Glen Gardens there is a Food Festival coming up on the 20-21st November also up on The Crescent you could take a walk up on The Country Park there is a cafe up there & some brilliant views if you walk right to the end you can park up there as well if you walk up road from Cobble Landing turn right past McCarthy & Stone new estate & you will come to entrance of Country Park there’s also a boat yard down hill you can walk down path to beach but it’s steep (enjoy) x
My family would stay in Primrose Valley and walk along the beach if the tide was out, down to the Brigg. If the tide was in we walked along the top. Occasionally a seal could be seen. If the tide was in a regular sight was gannets diving into the sea within 100 feet from the sea wall, spectacular if you're standing on the cobbles landing.

Filey on a lovely sunny day, I'm so envious right now😎👍☀️
Beautiful views! This seems like a good time to do a walk tour - there are less people around.
Yes definitely! And it’s still blue skies and sunshine some of the time too!
Filey it's a fantastic place used really appreciate and enjoy my holidays there

Our pleasure!
Love your walks around some of the best places in Britain,,, subscribed
A beautiful spot. Very busy with tourists in the summer months, I'll bet. Have to get a map out to see exactly where it is.
Yes it gets really very busy
The beach is huge though so people spread out
Love the sound of the sea. Another great video as always keep on walking 👍👍
It's a beautiful town and I've been there ❤
Nice video, though. Very peaceful!
❤️❤️❤️
Love Filey. We visit 2 or 3 times a year.
You have great taste Guy

Hasn’t changed much in the 70 years I have been going , thank god , it’s perfect if you want great views , dog walks, peace and rest
Cracking vid but oh my, those capitalised captions give me the shivers.
I do it for my visually impaired viewers
@@GimbalWalkTV Lower case is easier to read for the visually impaired.
Didn't know this - thank you so much Chris - will change the way I do captions from now on!
Love Filey, the coloured huts are beach chalets you can rent on a weekly basis.

Yes of course
Thank you for the info
Being a visitor I have limited knowledge so tend to always head for the beach 🤣

Bottom OF CARGATE HILL was a Compass water Compass when switched on
Let me know where you'd like us to film next!
Have you done a video on Bempton? It's another gorgeous place but has a very spooky reputation according to the Truth Proof books by Paul Sinclair.

That’s perfect 👍
The king of Belgium was a guest in Filey

We went there in the 90s
Nice place ❤️❤️
It's a good price that 50p for the telescope ....I live in Scarborough and don't think we have any sea front telescopes ??????
waves lap on the beach. A dog laps up water...
Will try and remember this one 👍👍👍

You should always have cash, even if just a small amount. How on earth do you get into pay toilets otherwise? As you get older you'll find this out.
Oh I already am older 🤣
I know what you mean - that’s caught me out many a time!
Great place if you have absolutely no life 🤪
