I love Catherine O'Hara, she steals the show in everything she's in. I reckon that Delia and Moira Rose would get on like a house on fire, since they're both rather theatrical.
THE FACT THAT O'HARA PICKED THE SONG 'DAY-O , THE BANANA BOAT SONG' FOR THE SCENE IN BETTLEJUICE#1 JUST MAKES HER EVEN MORE GENIUS .LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE HER IN ALL HER CAREER
O'Hara is a talented goddess that deserves 100x more credit and fame she already had. My mind *EXPLODED* when I learned she is the voice behind Sally. Moreso her singing. An amazing woman with endless talent and beauty
Catherine O’Hara did a great job on 2 Beetlejuice movies. 😁 My most favorite scene from ‘Beetlejuice’ was where her and several cast members sing and dance with an interesting song “Day-O (Banana Boat).” 😊
I loved it when Catherine O'Hara slapped Tim Curry's face in Home Alone 2. That scene was hilarious! Especially when Tim Curry looks like he's about to cry after getting his face slapped by Catherine O'Hara.
I've always loved Catherine O'Hara since my youth watching her on SCTV with my parents and my brother. I loved her in many skits, especially the one where she plays a princess who doesn't like beets. I have since seen her in every movie she has been in and am a huge fan of Schitt's Creek as well. My favorite roles from movies have got to be the Christopher Guest movies, Best In Show in particular. She truly is one of those actresses that brings way more to any role she does than anyone (even she herself I imagine) could ever hope for. I think she is very deserving of an Academy Award nomination at least and at best, a win.
I was SO HAPPY to see that she was in B2. Such a great actress and genuinely beautiful in all ways. She really did create a well-rounded character out of something that a lesser actress would have turned into 2 dimensional schtick.
I’m upset at how they ended her storyline in the sequel though. (Spoilers) Sadly she’s killed off. I honestly don’t want another sequel if she’s not in it.
I laughed until my sides hurt the first time I saw the "Day-o" scene. I think that's just about the funniest thing I've seen on film; and you can tell Catherine O'hara was in charge of that! No surprise to learn that the song was her idea!
The scene where Delia takes screaming photos of herself, it made me think of Andy Warhol. Why? A couple of years before he died he did some art pieces about death or made references about it.
Oh Look, and Indoor Outhouse. A Phrase I use, WITH her Delia intonation to this very day if I go into a bad one. Also. We see the beginnings of Moira Rose in Delia Deetz. She brings it on home without the strange Moira intonation in the sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. And yeah, she was really the only one to make me laugh in the movie. Bless Catherine Ohara!!!
When recapping her other non-Beetlejuice roles, I found it very odd that you gave no mention at all to all the work she did with Christopher Guest. She worked with Guest in four of his mockumentary films, and to many of us O'Hara fans those collaborations were among the best of her career.
Catherine O'Hare steals the show no matter what movie she's in. She was great at home alone. And some people don't know it, but she's awesome and wide. Herb is one of the wives and she's great there too. Drama... Comedy....., she's just a wonderful actress. She's a Modern Day Madeleine Kahn...
Justice for Delia bring her back from the dead. Here they made her character so much better than decide to kill her off. Cathetije O’harax was awesome in both movies.
I disagree. She's a bit much in the film, taking away from the story with her background interests, several scene's were unnecessary involving her and her "art" taking away from screen time with Lidia and further plot development.

She is amazing!
"I will go insane, and I will take you with me!!"
Best line ever.
😂 my children are WAY to familiar with that line🤣🤣🤣😊
There was a meme about Halloween decorations using that line 😂
I love Catherine O'Hara, she steals the show in everything she's in. I reckon that Delia and Moira Rose would get on like a house on fire, since they're both rather theatrical.
Agreed
They will definitely get along
THE FACT THAT O'HARA PICKED THE SONG 'DAY-O , THE BANANA BOAT SONG' FOR THE SCENE IN BETTLEJUICE#1 JUST MAKES HER EVEN MORE GENIUS .LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE HER IN ALL HER CAREER
Ow, what’s with the yelling? 😬
I love Catherine O'Hara as the mom on the first 2 home alone movies."KEVIN!"
Me too
Don't forget her commercial with Kevin Hart. ☺️
She elevates every project she works on. Has for years. Glad the world is finally catching up to her talent
I LOVE HER!!♥️‼️Shes just brilliant in everything she does!!!♥️♥️♥️♥️
O'Hara is a talented goddess that deserves 100x more credit and fame she already had. My mind *EXPLODED* when I learned she is the voice behind Sally. Moreso her singing. An amazing woman with endless talent and beauty
It is impossible for Catherine not to steal every single scene she’s in! 👸❤️
In every movie she's in!
Catherine O’Hara is a treasure in Hollywood no way all those great movies we had with her would not exist without her
Catherine O’Hara did a great job on 2 Beetlejuice movies.
😁
My most favorite scene from ‘Beetlejuice’ was where her and several cast members sing and dance with an interesting song “Day-O (Banana Boat).”
😊
FUN FACT - THIS SONG WAS PICKED BY O'HARA FOR THE SCENE
I love Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas, and everything she’s done for Christopher Guest in his films.
Catherine O’Hara is a brilliant actor! ❤
The “Day-O (Banana Boat)” scene = One of my several scenes from 1988’s ‘Beetlejuice.’
😁
I couldn't imagine Beetlejuice without the Day-o Song. If they Had the Ink Spots "If I Didn't Care" it would have changed the scene entirely.
Jesus! She's so funny in "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice", I didn't expect her character would!
I loved it when Catherine O'Hara slapped Tim Curry's face in Home Alone 2. That scene was hilarious! Especially when Tim Curry looks like he's about to cry after getting his face slapped by Catherine O'Hara.
They're pretty fantastic together ❤
the way she slapped him THO! lol
One movie I loved Catherine O’ Hara in was Penelope when she played Christina Ricci’s mother
In Beetlejuice 2 she was essentially Moria Rose, and I loved every moment of it
Catherine O'Hara is a true and humble artist, period.
I just watched the second one an hour ago and OMG Catherine O’Hara is literally the best there is. I swear. A true icon!
Because she's fabulous
I loved her in KILLERS and ORANGE COUNTY as the moms, she is the best!
I've always loved Catherine O'Hara since my youth watching her on SCTV with my parents and my brother. I loved her in many skits, especially the one where she plays a princess who doesn't like beets. She's very good at that!
I loved her in Surviving Christmas.
7:18 Cathrine was also Sally in Nightmare
She is a genius!
Happy thursday afternoon, Emily, take care and God bless you. Greetings from Colombia to you as well
I loved her on SCTV and 4 Christopher Guest mockumentaries.
Me too, but I only knew about 3 of the 4 movies. Haven't seen Waiting for Guffman.
I’m upset at how they ended her storyline in the sequel though. (Spoilers)
Sadly she’s killed off. I honestly don’t want another sequel if she’s not in it.
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is a hoot!!!
Later she played another Tim Burton movie. The Nightmare Before Christmas. Sally.
Yep. Another iconic character
Omg! I never realized she was Sally until you said this.
She act with her voice.
I recognized her voice anywhere.
I actually yelled Kevin in the theater quietly when she was embarrassing Astrid in front of the school lol 😂
😂
Her role in Beetlejuice and Schitts Creek are my picks 😂
If you love Catherine O'Hara and Andrea Martin , look up SCTV's Gangway for Miracles. These two are phenomenal!
Just saw the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice!!! Loved it!!!!
I went and saw it yesterday with my two little brothers. We both thought the movie was ok but it could’ve been done better.
I love her so much!!!
CATHERINE O'HARA, THE "DAY-O" QUEEN! LOL! 👸🏼💃🏼🍌🎞️🎬🎥👍🤣
Also hilarious in Schitt’s Creek ♥️😁
it’s Catherine O’Hara. No explanation needed.
I laughed until my sides hurt the first time I saw the "Day-o" scene. I think that's just about the funniest thing I've seen on film; and you can tell Catherine O'hara was in charge of that! No surprise to learn that the song was her idea!
I love Delia. I love Caherine O'Hara.
Hey! That must mean I'm alive.
SPOILERS/Fun Fact:
The music at the end Wedding/Baby/Dream sequence was the music at the end of the 1976 horror movie *Carrie.*
And the music was used at the start of Carrie as well.
Wait, so Catherine picked the song they would dance to?! Wow! That is a cool piece of trivia.
Another fun fact: Anjelica Huston was originally going to play Delia but she became very ill.
The scene where Delia takes screaming photos of herself, it made me think of Andy Warhol. Why? A couple of years before he died he did some art pieces about death or made references about it.
She gave chaotic Real Housewives energy PRE HOUSEWIVES.
Thank you❤
I never saw Delia as a villain, so much as an antagonist. I don't even think there was a villain in the movie.
there we’re DEF villains in the 2nd one tho! 😱
Oh Look, and Indoor Outhouse. A Phrase I use, WITH her Delia intonation to this very day if I go into a bad one. Also. We see the beginnings of Moira Rose in Delia Deetz. Because of my age, I knew the cartoon first. Then saw the film.
She sure did!!!!💜
Moira definitely forgot to bring to bring Alexis on a plane more than twice

She's the best and her greatest character is Sheila Albertson from the movie Waiting for Guffman.
O’Hara made Delia Deetz the baddest bitch in town! ❤
ATEEEE
💚💚💚
QUEEN MOIRA ROSE FOREVER!!!
She is very funny
Catherine O' Hara deserves more a
❤❤
Temple Grandin.
RiP bob!
WHERE WAS THE SPOILER WARNING!?!!!?!? Jesus!!
We will allways be known as kevins mom
🧡💛❤️💯👍💪✌️👏🎉🤩
I disagree.
She's a bit much in the film, taking away from the story with her background interests, several scene's were unnecessary involving her and her "art" taking away from screen time with Lidia and further plot development.
5th comment
Wish you could edit out that one… yuck is all I will say.
she's a great actress and i dont like these type of movies...I'm not filling my mindspace with this trash
Her plastic surgeon stole the show.
Movie would be been better without her.
Like your English
She had no reason to be in the movie.
No one stole the show this movie sucked
