- Initially Irwin cornered the marked on Dragon Ball Z Toys/Figures. Although these figures didn't offer much they were all we had. That is until, one company made a bold new move and produced the S.H. Figuarts Dragon Ball Z Figuarts we know and love today. Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you The History of Dragon Ball Z Figuarts: Part 1
I had a head canon as a kid that the reason that corrin grew senzu beans was because kami (who lived above him) invented them and told corrin to grow them. Piccolo and Kami are supposed to be to sides of the same coin so I thought the "Special BEAN cannon" was the opposite of a senzu bean. One was food that could heal you and the other was a move that could kill you. Pretty funny that I made all that up over mishearing something.

Irwin Toys was not the only company that made DB-related toys. For a while, Jakk's Pacific made toys for Dragon Ball, Z, and GT, but eventually lost the license
The OG Piccolo still holds his own on the shelf even next to the newest releases, such a great figure, if only the new one was as good.

The older figures are kind of terrible compared to the new molds coming out
I love these figures but they’re so expensive, it’s hard to keep up with new releases unless you REALLY dedicate yourself to them. So unfortunately, I end up having to pay more because of this.

Do you know if SH Figuarts from China that you can get on Ebay are inferior or any reason not-to-buy?
Most of the time you're probably seeing knock offs by a company called Datong...or possibly worse bootlegs. One of the easiest ways to tell if a figure is legit used to be the presence of a Toei sticker on the box but even now they've started faking these. Best of luck!

J G there actually not to bad looking from what I have seen,although I do know it's common for there joints to very lose compared to the real one's.

SSJ Awakening Goku is definitely my favourite figure I own. I remember seeing the new mold and everything and knew I had to have him.
Piccolo in Manga colours never really made much sense since in the Manga he also only has 3 fingers on his hand and yet the Figure has 4.

I was fortunate enough to get my hands on the sdcc arlia vegeta back when it first came out, I never would’ve guessed that it was gonna become a high valued figure

I love most of the DB S.H. Figuarts figures but they all have one common problem and that is they aren’t the right size, some figures are suppost to be taller or shorter than others like Cell or Nappa in where they’re suppost to be taller
Yeah, scaling is an issue that seems to be a recurring problem throughout figuarts in general

09/2021, I'm 29 and I'm barley starting my Collection, Bought Bardock, Then 1st Form Frieza, then Captain Ginyu, then SS Goku, now waiting on Jiren/M.U.I Goku/SS Vegeta/Kaiken Goku, 8 Figure Stands, and 6 Clear Stands (Debating if I should get the Case yet lol) Oh and Pre Ordered Kefla! 😃
Now I gotta wait atleast 2 Weeks to Re-Up on my Funds. (They can get Addicting 🤪)

Dangggg 2015 really was the year of Goku man! I love Goku though, I wish I knew about Sh figurarts at the time. I would have bought all them. I’m 💯 happy with the Super Vegito and Awakening Goku sh figurarts I got though 😊.

Looking back at this video i only had namke saga ssj goku and ssj vegeta 2.0. I sold them and now have both ssj4’s i always wanted and as of recent i got ssj3 goku a figure i always wanted since i middle school

Well good thing is that we’re getting Bardock (Dbz version), First form frieza, the Ginyu Force

Man i just got old enough to collect figures back in 2014 with the hobgoblin wave spideman. Now 2018 and over 25 marvel legends i am just now jumping into the line of figurearts. Is there anyway to get the old figures legit? Like any resale? Idc about price...

I have every SDCC figure they've ever made. I still buy them every year when the convention happens. Not so keen on the fact that they make 4-6 figures nowadays instead of just 1
