My 22 Street Bob just started to do this. No big deal except how annoying it is to restart the clock. Checked the terminal bolts... Hardly finger tight, so snugged them down considerably. First few starts seem like night and day!
I had this problem from buying new. I changed the Battery after two years, and made no difference. My 2016 Street Bob was supplied Screamin Eagle Stage 1. After getting the software and Cables to connect to the ECU with the intention of altering the Air to Fuel Ratio, I discovered the Software for some reason, switches of the Automatic Compression Reducer(AFR). After switching back on, the Cranking Speed was greatly increased with absolutely no hesitation on starting. P.S. Enriching the Fuel to Air Ratio transformed my Bike. I did two of my Friends also, and they were gobsmacked at the change in their Bikes.
Mine started to not want start at all so. I would flip the on and off switch few times then it would turn over now nothing won’t even start . All lights on changed the fob . Fuel pump engaged etc any clues ?
That's the golden rule in all things especially I.T. and mechanical work. Start with and test the simple things first. Like on The IT Crowd comedy, "Have you tried turning it off and on again?" That's why we would always tell you to do that. LOL Because 99% of the time it's a silly, simple glitch. True story. A 500K a year, Ivy school graduate swore his 5.25 floppy drive was broken bc he it wouldn't let him insert a disk. HE ALREADY HAD A ANOTHER FLOPPY IN THERE!!! LOL It's the simple things.

Good information. Approaching 4 years on same battery in my M8 softail. Several months ago, just once it did the slow start and reset the clock thing.
Thanks so much

I’m having this issue intermittently. When it happens, it resets my clock and says the key fob battery is low. Did your bike say this as well?
My sportster does this but I don’t lose the clock. It always takes it off of the gear selector and puts it back to the ODOMETER
hmmm weirdness all around. Cheers
Where you able to fix your sportster? I'm having the same issue
My first thought is always corrosion. The switches to the terminal. I had not considered the jiffy stand.
Yes just narrowing down the search I suppose
This happens to me all the time. Alot of times after i fill the tank for some reason
Mine does it 3 years old fatbob all i have done is fp3 fitted
Yep not limited to Softails either so I'm hearing
This guy is good
