  • The E3 Saxo Classic is one of the most prestigious one-day races on the calendar. At 205.4km in length, it is affectionately known by fans as '‘The Little Tour of Flanders’. Climbs like the Paterberg, Oude Kwaremont and Teigemberg all feature, before a flat and fast finish in the centre of Harelbeke. Who will lay down a big marker before the peloton races De Ronde in just over a week's time?

MVDP vs WVA is maybe the most exciting rivalry in this sport ever. Just remember they've been duking it out since 2012, when they were both juniors. Lucky to be witnessing it in real time. And TP in the mix, somehow, always, just adds to the magic.

Unbelievable racing. What a vintage era with all these duals, WVA v VDP, Rog v Even, Ganna vs Even, Jacobsen/Pedersen/Demare, and of course Pog vs everyone.
Pog, a 21c GC racer in the image of a 70s racer, taking on any race that takes his fancy, from monument, to 7-day, to GT and always at the front. And always with a smile. What a talent.
So much talk of Cav beating Merck’s record at the TdF, but they’re polar opposite riders; it’s Pog that is the true comparison.
Whilst Pog will never get the stage wins, too many flat stages designed for sprinters and their trains, could Pog, taking on everything and everyone across all disciplines as he does, surpass Mercx as the greatest rider of all time? He’s young enough, talented enough, ambitious enough.
I think, baring an injury in 10 years time that’s exactly how he will be seen. Not a cannibal, he’s more light spritzers than that, but certainly just as dangerous.

We are spoiled with these 3 and for me Pog in particular as I just started following cycling with greg lemond and missed hinault so I have never seen a rider dominate GC and in big mounatins and GT's who can also race with not just big guys a special dou who are as strong and coordianted on a bike as we have seen with honorary mention to Peter sagan sort of starting trend. Fabian and Tommeke at time were winning on race craft and brute force to have seen contador, valverde, nibali, froome, compete on cobbbles is crazy people thought wiggins was crazy for trying roubaix and he was world time trial champion and 6'4.
Pog can compete in all 5 monuments and obviously all 3 Gt's should he try. Wout and VDP race with nose for winning on the day you see it like vdp peaking perfect for MSR or targeting flanders in past its where tadej's cycling iq has allowed him to adapt so fast from his first win at liege being surprise now today after two flyers beofre finish he still came to line in same time with wout who won on Champs in most prestigous field sprint. All 3 are different too wout has such an engine, mvdp has insane punch, and tadej can climb all day yet they come to the line together. I've never seen such all rounders can't wait for rhonde :) almost same podium in back to back weeks you can tell wout and mvdp love having tadej in field for these races like msr they know he will animate race and force selection its just his nature and so far he hasn;t found a way to get a gap and can't win the sprint. If he ever wants to win one of these he will have to save his matches for one move like VDP in MSR its where both wout and VDP have clear advantage they have raced these scenarios a million times in cross against each other. Really shows through in finale. Plus they had team mates ...tadej has to be perfect and efficient if hes to have a chance has to be away solo or in group without these two in flanders and that will take team mates and tactics I can't see it. Kwaremont seems to be climb he like most as its longest in effort. Going to be great race

Even if Yonas won the tour this year, Tadej is still a more incredible rider for doing so well in the classics and one-week races. In fact, maybe we should describe Jonas as a Tour de France GC specialist given his narrow focus 😅

Tadej and WVA are the most exciting riders. The sprinter/classics man with a climb. The GC monster with a classic side to him.
MVDP just needs to join them on climbs and he'll be considered as one of them.
