I love seeing their reactions. When they watched the video showing the size of the observable universe, they all looked as if they needed a cigarette and a shower afterwards. If only we could all have that experience again, to learn just how tiny and insignificant the Earth is, in the grand scheme of things.

@@LordPrometheous I still remember the first time i understood the size of the universe, the feelings of awe and insignificance, the helpless feeling of how can something possibly be so big as to make words like big and immense seem rather lacking. And the realization of, its so immense and there are so many stars and even more planets, there could easily be life out there somewhere. The emotions are such a strange mix and never exactly gets evoked the same way by anything else... maybe if we discover a multi-verse it will happen again lol

Since they mentioned life on other planets, you should print out and show them the pictures on the Voyager 1 Golden Record. It's a set of pictures that was sent into space to show aliens what life is like on Earth. It would be interesting to see if the villagers can figure out what the pictures are and what they mean.

This is only the second video I've seen from you guys, but I already love it. If they haven't already, I hope they get to see a video that shows a comparison scale between our star and other much larger stars in the Universe. Also, some interesting sea creatures like Octopodes, Angler Fish, Box Jelly, Seahorses, and others. Show them how octopodes are able to solve puzzles and manipulate objects like humans. Show them how intelligent crows are, and how they like to bring gifts to people who are nice to them. (Even crows know everyone loves to get a new shiny every once in a while).

What wonderfull and beautiful people these villagers are. So kind and so thankfull for information. Also I'm sorry to say I assumed this sort of information would be hard for them to understand, but shows my ignorence. They not only understood but they understood well.(Better than some so called educated westerners I know!) I have watched many of your videos now, I find them most entertaining as well as lovely to watch. I think these guys put our sometimes selfish attitudes to somewhat shame!
I think these videos should be shown to schools to help them see how alike we all are. The same sense of humour, the same fears and fascination. I really think it would only fo the world good for us all to see this.
    Fantastic channel. Well done!

Seeing they're reactions is priceless and kind of humbling. I also hope your participants continue to join you to for many more years, there is so much more for them as well as is to learn about. I think we could even learn from these amazing people!. You guys should do a reversal of roles, the channels producers should react to somthing that these villagers bring to the table! Let them share with us as your channel with us viewers have been able to share with them.

Babu had such a great live, that he not even understand why humans need to leave the planet one day. This shows that we aren't prepared for this, if we aren't even able to be a collective civilization. He doesn't know about the wars that currently going on, he doesn't know about the poles that are melting and he doesn't know about overpopulation and that resources like oil are finite.

One reason to go to Mars would be to better monitor near Earth Asteroids before they become a concern, of course such a station could also be set up on the moon. Since Mars is closer to the asteroid belt, mining asteroids for rare earth metals and other 'goodies' would be easier. Back in the 1970s I had a book about making space station cities in outer space, not low Earth orbit. These city sized structures would provide gravity by using centrifugal force to mimic gravity, they would have acrylic areas for actual farm fields on the perimeters. I am sure 50 years ago my book did not understand the intricacies of space flight and danger but those cities were so cool and could be used as asteroid processing factories. It was a great book to fire the imagination and to fantasize of what we hoped would be the future in 50 years. The future is a bit slower in showing up but still trucking' along! Stay safe, my prayers are with you and all of India. Keep updating the family and grand children and neighbors; keep dreaming, the day will come when all Nations will share in these enterprises and adventures. I was born in 1948, it is so sweet that we may be going to Mars in 2048.

It's always interesting to see how people react to the universe and how much space there is out there!

Saaru: There's no resources where the ISS orbits either, yet people are sent to live there for months at a time because we send resources to supply them for the duration of their studies/experiments. The same will happen with Mars. We have technology to create oxygen outside of earth, and we have technology to grow food in space as well. It certainly won't be easy but it's human nature to want to explore and I believe we will have people on Mars within the next 10-20 years.

Seeing a 3d size comparsion of earth to suns to black holes will make them wow.
