Had to laugh about your comment “when all the trees fell down”. I knew exactly when that was since I live in the hill country.
Thank you for your podcasts, I am enjoying them. Love all the wonderful yarn shops we have out here!

Hello from a fellow Texan! So glad I found your channel :) when I used to live in Austin, I lovedddd going to Georgetown when the poppies were blooming and seeing them all. Happy knitting 💕

Welcome! So happy you are here and I love that you have seen the wildflowers first hand. Spring is truly my favorite seasons because of it. We had a super-bloom this year so the bluebonnets and poppies lasted for months. Truly glorious!

Glad I found your channel. Stained glass is my first love (making art since 2004) then found knitting in 2010.

How wonderful! I must ask, how are your hands doing? Haha I think I have the worlds strongest hands because of the two crafts.

@@thepoppylibrary LOL. Scarred on the outside from years of glass and now probably scarred on the inside from knitting. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. 😃

Liz, you are lovely. You inspire me.❤❤ I live in south-central Alaska. I love poppies too. We have extreme cold winters. When it gets hot, as it is this week, we wilt in the heat. Hot is relative, though, to be honest, 80° F. A festival sounds great to me. My son and his sweet family live in western NY, south of Ithaca.❤

Hahaha "Summer makes me angry". I can totally relate....I live in the north - anything above 80 stinks!

Haha! Listen, me too. It got below 80 the other night but with the humidity it felt like 90. It was so rude. I'm going to need some good thoughts to get me through this summer.

I’m so glad I found your podcast … even though I am a new podcaster myself I don’t know yet why we all call it a podcast. You mentioned that there are conversations about it ? Where can I find some information why it’s called a podcast ? Thank you. Great podcast 💖

Great question! I believe I had seen a previous video from Voolenvine that talked about the history of why these videos are called podcasts. From what I remember, these talks were actually in audio format (podcast) format first. When RUclips became more popular and mainstream, knitters began to use this platform and video more and more. It lends to our craft a bit more since we do have to show items/share tutorials. I think the podcast name just stuck :). I would definitely go through Voolenvine's videos. She has a long history with RUclips and you can probably find an answer to anything there!
