'Sister Wives' Star Janelle Brown Speaks Out Following Death Of Son Robert Garrison

- "Sister Wives" star Janelle Brown is speaking out following the sudden death of her son Robert Garrison. On Friday, the reality star took to her Instagram to reflect on the last time she was with her six children. "I had all my children together last Christmas," she wrote. "It was amazing as it's hard with everyone's busy lives to coordinate time like this. I am extremely grateful now that we had pictures taken." In the photo, Janelle poses with her late son Garrison, and her other kids, 29-year-old Logan, 28-year-old Madison, 27-year-old Hunter, 22-year-old Gabriel, and 19-year-old Savanah in addition to her grandchildren. Her post comes days after her son's passing on Tuesday in Flagstaff, Ariz. Janelle and her ex Kody Brown shared a similar statement on their respective Instagram accounts confirming his passing.

I still can't believe it. This is so sad man. I distinctly remember Kody saying in a clip, " there will be other christmases", no they won't. It's crushing. RIP.

This is heartbreaking, at any age. Parent's aren't supposed to out live their children. So much pain.

Garrison and Gabriel have both said that they tried to get in contact with their father and he wasn't interested. Kody says he tried to contact them both before Christmas and after and they refused to talk to him. Who is the liar here???? I will never forget Garrison saying at a family dinner with his mother and Christine, "You know what, Robin? You can have him. We have grown past needing to have a father figure in our lives." I felt sad about that at the time and now we know that was said in a shot of bravado because he really did need his dad.
He didn't need his dad. What he needed was mental help. I, for one, will no longer watch SW so that Kody and Robyn can line their pockets on the back of Garrison's death. RIP sweet young man. So sad you had a POS of a father.
Maybe he needed “A” dad. Nobody deserves the dad he got. Arrogant, entitled, self absorbed.

There are times when the word father is used very loosely when referring to Kody... like when he wanted Janelle to throw the boys out of the house over COVID-19 so he could come to visit. No mother worthy of the name is going to throw her kids out for a man.

I feel so sorry for any suffering he has gone through in the past and my heart breaks for his parents. I don’t know that I can think of anything worse than losing one of my children or grandchildren.

I do wish when people want to do what Garrison did to himself, they consider who is likely to find them and how. Gabe walked into that apartment and found his big brother in that state. It doesn’t take a great deal of imagination to picture that scene. It will haunt poor Gabe forever 💔.

Can't the show let them mourn? Nothing like blasting it all over the internet and making it a moment in tv. Sad for the people who lost him, and im sad for you for having to make headlines.
These people have made millions because of their fans watching their daily life and caring for their family, they know that means the good and the bad, it comes with the territory and people who have been fans for years are going to be shocked and sad too. I haven’t seen any outlet pester them for comment, saying anything negative etc only people reporting on what has been made public and sending condolences, so if that wasn’t the case I would agree but this just comes part and parcel.
This is years of people being invested in these family members. I have seen nothing but an outpouring of love and support for them. I don’t see the harm in the fans being updated. People truly care…. No matter how we may feel about certain ones on the show, no parent should have to bury their child. We all support their journey of healing.
Its the Utubers who have a field day with this and each and everyone of them profits👎👎

I agree with you. But reality is, when a person is in that state in mental illness / distress. Their minds aren't thinking about that, not cause they don't care but because they are so sick, so far gone in the mental illness state that they truly fell it's the only way out.
I've experienced it, failed attempt. As I'm here many Yeats later on the other side of it. It's scares the living crude out of me how the depression in my mind TOOK over me. For me I 1000% thought my child 3 yr old would be better with out me. Depression is like cancer, you have zero control over it without doctors. Really bad Depression eats at you until you end it as G did, as I tried and as so many others. Again. It still scares me that I couldn't see clearly in that state. Neither could G. I would never have known that if I didn't experience it first hand. Daughter is know 21, my best friend and almost college grad. Gilmore Girl relationship. I really really hate mental illness. It is so misunderstood in this world.
Garrison was always such a gentle soul, seeing how he interacted with all of his siblings was beautiful. I heard that his house mates heard what they described as a “pop” but didn’t immediately go to investigate what may have happened, if this is true that would crush his family. Obviously gun shot wounds are extensive, but you would always have that thought of what if he could have been saved. This is just a tragedy all around. Seeing Kody talk to Garrison signing up and the possibility of deployment was so frustrating, he is just an all around idiot. He has no empathy or filter, he only sees what he wants to see and doesn’t care about anyone else’s feelings or opinions 🤬

My heart goes out to the family. I myself have lost five family members and one friend to suicide. It is a horrible illness, and it does run in families. I have lost friends and other family members know they didn’t commit suicide they just shun me like it was contagious and it’s not.
Kody would never have the courage to join the military.
This young man did the right thing for himself unfortunately as a child of😮 domestic abuse he paid the ultimate price. I’m a person who was and am a patent. I’m prying I can get my children past this pain. My prayers go out to Jenelle and hr family. I’m not from there back ground but abuse is abuse in everyone.

I had a similar situation 11yrs ago those first few months had been the hardest of my life. I kept seeing the images in my head it was so difficult.
The hard part is he probably did it in a split second, he never thought about it or meant it.

It sure would of helped if Garrison had a father who he could of confided in. Instead Kody had to argue with the boys over trivial matters, instead of giving personal advice for their lives. Him and his boys are adults and Kody threw tantrums to get his way, instead of manning up, and being there for his kids. He hurt those kids so emotionally, and mentally for his controlling ego. It's to late for regrets...it's long gone in the past, and you can't bring it back, like you can't bring back Garrison.....but maybe now Kody, you will wake up and listen to the message Garrison sent you.
