- Metaquote MT4 and MT5 have officially banned all brokers from providing Metaquote trading platform to all US citizens and many brokers have since lost their licence to opperate. so if you are a part of the people affected by this, I have a solution for you.

For those who still have access to meta trader it won’t last long. The massive crack down has begun on a large scale. One by one brokers and MetaTrader services being revoked
The US Clients Are Off Limits
The United States' regulators are very strict regarding leveraged trading services for retail traders. The offering of CFDs is banned in the country. However, prop trading firms operate beyond any regulatory scope.
Prop trading firms never take clients’ money for trading or investment: they only sell trading “challenges” for a fee, and if traders successfully pass that challenge, then they can trade with funds provided by the prop trading platform. If there are any profits, the prop trading company will split that with the trader.
Many firms target US clients because prop trading platforms are technically not regulated in the United States. According to a Finance Magnates report, about a third of these companies are registered in the US. However, the industry became cautious after the US commodities market regulator sued My Forex Funds, alleging fraud, and shuttered its operations overnight.
According to the CEO of Funding Pips, MetaQuotes' concerns revolve around onboarding US clients by prop trading. Funded Engineer, which lost the services of Purple Trading and onboarded Blueberry Markets as its partner, specified that it would not be able to offer services to US citizens and residents.
“We have already obtained a forex license as well as a MetaQuotes license, which will allow us to continue offering MT5 services to all clients except USA citizens and residents. Rest assured, we are actively working on a solution for our USA-based clients as well,” a post by the company on X noted.
“In regard to USA citizens, it's important to be transparent. MT5 services for USA citizens and residents will soon be discontinued, not only for us but for the entire prop industry, within the next 2 to 8 weeks.”
The MetaQuotes move indicates that the company is very cautious when it comes to offering services using its platform to US clients. The two MetaTrader apps were banned on Apple's App Store in 2022 for their alleged use by fraudsters targeting the US citizens and residents. However, both apps were restored after a few months.
"I understand the restrictions that apply to the USA, but the decision to obligate brokers to revoke licenses from prop firms suggests to me that MetaQuotes may have grown weary of them reselling their tech. They might negotiate direct licenses without third parties," DezziFinance wrote on X.
Although the Funding Pips’ CEO said that it has active US clients, its website now shows the US, the UAE, and Vietnam as three restricted countries.
Meanwhile, a Miami-based prop firm, Top Tier Trader, has recently extended the list of its restricted countries, adding Germany, Vietnam, India, the United Kingdom, and several others.
While MetaQuotes forces brokers to stop services to prop trading platforms, its competitors are taking advantage of the situation. Earlier, Devexperts launched trading platform solution dedicated to prop trading, while several other technology firms have launched prop trading tech.

Metatrader has not been banned in the US. They have withdrawn from supporting unregulated brokers.
Regulated brokers still have Metatrader.
Prop firms tend to be unregulated. This will be where most people will have problems.
My MT4 is still working.
Mt4 is not banned, it's only banned on unregulated brokers.
This was put into public domain news back last year in Jan, and they followed through by shutting down all unregulated activity on their platform because they don't stand for that kind of behavior.

Use a regulated broker and you can mt4/mt5.
Use a shady prop firm or shady unregulated broker, and yeah, you're out. Not new news

Not that I have ever used the mt4, but its still working on Oanda, once I sign in through chrome. I live in Chicago.
Like someone else said in comments. Meta quotes is not banned in the US. It just no longer supports prop firms
Well Oanda is a US broker and their on MT4. I have an account and I traded on MT4 today.

Hey. What happened to your lot size calculator then. It is only works with mt4 or mt5 right ?? When we trade in 1 minute chart, it is extremely difficult to enter at the market price because once we entered to a trade, it might go five pips up or down
That is how I have my fibs set up. 0, 50 and 100 now it doesn't matter if I go top to bottom or bottom to top.

G’Day Mate all the way from Australia 🇦🇺💪 I’ve been watching your videos and learning so much from them I can’t Thankyou enough but can I as you now , can you pls do a video telling us what platforms you use to trade on as there’s so many out there and downloading and registering is time consuming in order to try them out to see if they fit , I use ones like Etoro that are very basic to use but the spreads are huge which make it difficult to scalp and I’ve just watched your video on how scalp using 5-10 pips only using the 3 indicators hit the spreads won’t allow me to capitalise from it as there between 5-10 pips in most cases .

Wanted to add, I personally don't see the big deal with unregulated brokers. I get it's risky but it's just as risky as going to the casino and putting all my money into a slot machine. Last week I was at the casino with my parents, while I go out just to eat, I watched my dad spend $300 on a slot machine in minutes it was gone. Is there even a difference? I'm not putting my whole life savings into an unregulated broker. Obviously that would be foolish. I also wouldn't put my entire life savings into a regulated broker.

How have you been able to keep from going on tilt? More is less really. When you have more contracts you are asking for trouble really. Be good. Trade with 1 or 2 micros.
MT4/MT5 is NOT banned in US. if you are reffering to Prop companies, yes that's true, because they are unregulated.
