You should change it back to stock to feel the difference again. Sometimes when you change something that improves the bike you don't always notice it fully until you go back and see what you lost.
@@loamtroopers on air with the super deluxe ultimate. Increase travel to 140 on the rear better on the small bumps and have a 150 upfront. It’s a poppy little playful beast of a bike…. I love it
I was considering putting the Cascade link on my megatower but ended up going with the push 11 six and I couldn’t be happier. No more messing with volume spacers, pressures and rebound. It’s a install it and ride kind of deal, I couldn’t be more impressed with a rear shock.
A friend dropped a cascade on his yellow Megatower with a X2 float shock, said its the best thing he's done. Really wasn't expecting much but silly happy with the change
Do you think the same would hold true for a lighter rider? ~180-185#? Also, those trails look super smooth. How'd the link feel on rougher stuff? Thanks!
is a more progressive bike better for heavier riders? I'm 105 kg and felt like not having enough adjustment range for the rebound. I've had 285 PSI in it so, yea.. it was rather not plush bit really hard
I love my Offering. Im definitely bottoming it out on jumps. (240#) I’m at the end of the dampening on my shock. If I switch to this, wouldn’t that force me into a new shock tune?
Are you using air or coil? Sounds like it’s setup too light for you, adding some high speed compression should help, if you use them really hard you have to go up in spring rate
Cascade link went over center over compressed rear shock jamb rear tire against seatpost I went over the bars took 3 mechanics to pull it out sent link and frame to cascade for evaluation and they could not find anything wrong except minor bearing wear and they sent all it back said tuff pal we can’t find any fault with our product. Lesson learned Factory engineers design frames best not to try to make a frame travel further than it was designed for! Now I’m stuck with a damaged $4k carbon frame front triangle. I changed Hightower back to Santa Cruz standard link to be safe. I have videos without shock on that I sent to cascade they you can see how link allows head of bolt gouge into frame and jamb

Thanks so much for the review! Great videos btw, keep it up! :D
What a cool upgrade! Fantastic honest review of the Cascade linkage. Love all the details and supporting POV footage.
Cool video…. I got the cascade link on my 5010 v4 and I’m very impressed with it too
Ah I bet that is a rad set up. Air shock or coil?

That's rad! I would imagine it's killer on the Megatower. Hoping to try a Push out soon 🤘
I think you would be stoked! Sick bike tho, are you liking the evil over the Mega?

superb video!
Thanks Isaac! Much appreciated

have you kept it in the end? or tried it with a coil?
How tall are you and what size bike are you riding
Where did you go with the videos?
