Sounds like you really love the evil bikes. It sounds like the Offering is really as close to a 1 quiver bike, as you can get these days - and maybe you're partial to the offering for that. But, what if you have multiple bikes? Would you still choose Offering over Wreckoning?
Just found your channel, great content. Wondering how you find the Lyric 150mm front fork in comparison to the fox 36 grip2? Is the Lyric as plush through rough rock garden terrain? Will you consider extending the lyric to 160mm?
I ride this exact bike. Does not need 160 front end. Absolutely no difference between fox and lyrik. But I did upgrade to push front and back so yeah….dreams!
New bike day, woohoo! Hope you enjoy it. I just ordered a Fezzari La Sal Peak today & I'm excited to get out on that. Been a while since I've had a longer travel bike, so I'm doing the opposite of your moves haha.
I was looking at the Offering, but decided on the Wreckoning. Mostly because I have never owned a long travel bike and wanted to give one a go to see how we got along. After waiting 5 months, mine just arrived recently. First impressions, I was very surprised how the wreckoning feels so eager to pedal and is super poppy for a bike with a coil. I'd say it even feels a little more firm than plush, but still somehow manages to soak things up super well. Cannot wait to get more time on it.
@@muscomeddoc Honestly my riding has been pretty limited the last couple months, so not a ton to report. Mostly just have some time on it on some jump and flow trails. But I can state a couple observations. The Wreckoning is pretty agile feeling, the short chainstay really makes the bike feel like it wants to rip berms and turns and it feels super balanced in the air (however, note I am not the best jumper). The rear, while initially a little firm feeling, really does a good job of soaking up impacts although when climbing it does seem to get hung up a little on some obstacles (but it also offers excellent traction). Hope to get more time on it soon.
Subbed: was wondering now that you have some time on the bike, would you recommend the Large for someone who is 5’11”? I had the Offering V1 in a Medium and I felt like it was awesome with how poppy and playful it is. Worried about a large if I would loose that playfulness. Just wanted your thoughts
Hey Austin. I’m 6’ and love the large. Super playful and poppy. Very comfortable while climbing as well. I can definitely feel that long wheel base at lower speeds, but I wouldn’t consider trading for a medium, myself. Hope that helps.
Great video! I've been debating between the Wreckoning V3 and the Offering V2 myself. Leaning toward the Offering. I'm 6'1" and 260lbs and ride a lot of the same terrain, mostly enduro-like trails of the pacific northwest. Thinking about doing a coil on the Offering though. Curious to see if you at any point wish you got the Wreckoning! Haven't talked to anyone who has ridden both bikes yet.
Thanks Steve! I’m wondering the same thing! I’m stoked to find out by the end of the summer though. They both feel very similar, just the Offering is faster, poppier, and a more efficient climber. Really curious about putting a coil on it. I think the Push Eleven would be wicked! The Wreckoning literally feels like it’ll run over anything, and leaves a lot of room for rider error. But is still very responsive for the size. A very fun bike trail bike for 166mm I feel like the Offering will be a better daily driver. But we’ll see…
@@stevejohnson18 Steve. I am riding, and racing enduro on an Offering V2 with a push coil, and 160 Lyrik ultimate up front and its every bit as food as the wreckoning as long as you're maybe a tad smoother rider. You can monster truck some things, while other stuff requires a lil finesse...which is usually just a better line to be ridden anyways. Also if you want to have a more efficient pedaler going uphill the offering is just the way to go..The only way id say go wreckoning is if you ride heaps of bike park and are just brutal on bikes..
Honestly.. I can’t decide. I’d say it depends on the occasion. For a very aggressive trail I’d grab the Wreckoning. Everything I ride locally I’m grabbing the Offering. It make the trails feel more lively and bike has more energy in the flats.
Sick! Sweet bike. Is there any reason not to get this bike? I have an opportunity to get one in my size at LBS. There’s a Revel Rascal I can likely get by October, but should I jump on this bike/will I have any regrets?
After having over 100 miles on the Offering, I have no complaints. It has great qualities of a shorter travel bike and a big bike. The Cascade Components made it even better as well. I normally sell my bikes every year to try something else but I’ll be keeping this. It’s too good.
Nice riding! I just ordered one of these, and i'm pretty stoked! Also, as a fellow photographer, kudos for riding with that big camera bag!

Grate job love the video. keep it up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! Appreciate that 🤘👊

Thanks Tyler! Ahh that Fezzari is rad! That should be a killer.

I'm in the same boat. Taking out a Wreckoning this week. Would love to hear more about your time with it so far…

Whats the brand and type of your glasses? They look awesome.
Those are the Smith Wildcats!
@@loamtroopers Thx!
Congrats. I have a wreckoning V3. Great bikes. Are you going to throw a coil on that bad boy ?
Thanks Rob! That’s the plan. I think this build would be wicked with a Push Eleven.
What trail is that? Looks so fun!!!!! Subscribed!
How do you like the enduro s wheels vs carbon?
riding it like ypu stole it! Thx for the review and the video
Thanks for watching! 🤘

Putting power down put of the saddle how is the pedal bob ?
Drones, sick bike, and hero dirt!? 👏 The drone looks pretty fun to fly
Right?! Recipe for a perfect session! 🤙
Do you have the works angleset on your offering?

@@loamtroopers forgot to ask, are you running a 150 or 160mm fork? And did you do the headset angle adjust too?

I got so lucky!
How tall are you and what size bike

Why the change to the smaller bike?
Just wanted to see if the short travel would be a better option for the area. Very experimental change for myself honestly
This is a 29er right?
Correct
