- Hi guys. We got a 10 year tourist visa and decided to make this video to help others who are awaiting interviews or are thinking of applying.
The waiting period for an interview (after applying for a visa) is almost a year now so it is best to be prepared when you do get your interview to avoid making another trip.
Also, interviews take place in Cape Town and Johannesburg which means you have to make your way to one of these places for the interview.

Thanks. This was helpful. Need to take bank statement or payslip. I did my application online.My concern was I didn’t sign the online application . It didn’t allow me to. But i have the confirmation page printed. I also didn’t know about proof of payment.
Thank you so much for watching. Just be prepared and they are quite helpful if you were not able to do something online. An example is, we completed our form when they still had a Durban office so everything had to be changed to JHB, they sorted it out at the Embassy for us. One more tip, arrive early for interview as the process is long.

I got an appointment next week. Can you tell me i f i should go with my children in the USA tourists visa interview? They are 5 and 8. Although they instructed in the email that children under 14 does not need to appear in person but some says if the officer wants to see them you have to bring them. So what would be best?

Hi there, we are well and hope the same for you. During the appointment we went for everyone brought their children and some were younger. I would say take your children with you so you don’t have to make another trip. Some of the interviewees can be fussy.
How long did it take to secure the interview . Like from the time you applied online to actually getting the interview.
Hi, we applied at the beginning of 2020, pandemic hit the world, only got interview towards the end of 2022. We believe the process is much faster. All the best 🥳

Hi there, we paid online when we submitted the application, think the system is still the same. They only set up interview after you pay
