To be honest, my younger self had great taste in music and an excellent preference in men, which is why I stanned One Direction-and I still do. Today, I have to share that I've lost two beloved members of my life this year: my dog, Brownie, and my aunty. Now, I feel the loss of Liam Payne, too-the very reason my childhood was filled with melody. I am so grateful for everything Liam and the other 1D members have given me through their music, and for how their songs made me feel. In 2010, "What Makes You Beautiful" was the first 1D song I ever heard, produced by them when I was just 8 years old, a fan from India. I fell in love with both the music and the boys right away. From that moment on, I vibed with their music intensely, memorized their songs, and dreamed of attending a concert. Sadly, I couldn't, as I was too young and couldn’t afford it at the time. Now, I’m 22 years old and thought I finally could-but I won't be able to see them together as a whole. I’m trying to process the feeling of losing Liam, but it's getting harder with each passing minute. The child in me is crying, and honestly, I feel heartbroken and depressed. All these years, I thought I had moved on from One Direction. I stopped listening to pop songs after the band’s disbandment and started supporting other artists and groups from different industries, like K-pop. But the truth is-I haven’t really moved on. I’m still stuck in 2016, waiting for a reunion that now feels farther away than ever. No other artist has made me feel the way one direction has made me feel. Coz that what 1d is. I could not or never able to witness or can other artist make 1D replace in my life. I am forever grateful for the music, and I pray that I will never forget their songs or the feelings they gave me.
