YES!! I LOVE the longer trip videos because of the scenery and longer experiences with a different vibe and a cross country trip on a train is on my bucket list. So thanks for your perspective and expertise! Love your videos so much and always look forward to when you upload to see what you got into this time, haha. Be safe and I look forward to seeing your next adventure! 🎉
Very nice. We see lot of utubers travelling through trains.. Everyone has own view. It's humanity who are engulf on this sand and experiencing different story!
Thanks, I'm 6'3" too, with more of an offensive lineman's build. I'll be taking my first Amtrak sojourn next month. From St. Paul a coach seat on the Empire Builder, as it's during the day. From Chicago to New Orleans I'm on the City of New Orleans, and I have a Roomette. I fly back home to MSP on a Delta flight ✈️.
Cool video man. Your positivity you carried throughout the trip was worth mentioning. Thank you for giving me a way to see everything through positive eyes. Made the journey you brought me on memorable. Thanks
This was so fun to watch Jordan! I'm leaving for my turn (opposite direction) next week! It was great to get insight into what I can expect on board! Will be sure to order that salmon and choc cake ;)
Sorry I definitely would have reported that employee to supervisor or definitely called Amtrak. They should NOT be permitted to yell at a passenger who did nothing wrong. If it were for employees then post a sign on the table where everyone can see it. No excuse for that kind of behavior and then he said you disrespected him? WTF 😳😡
@@CountingCountries You messed with the CONDUCTOR'S paperwork, and apparently his coffee cup... I don't know how the British treat their train conductors, but in America the conductor is the king or queen onboard the train. The boss! With the authority to boot you off the train in the middle of nowhere... Never, ever move anyone's stuff in America, no one likes their stuff being shifted. NO ONE!!! The truth is when sitting in the diner the procedure is to wait for the waiter to sit you at a table. No wonder the CONDUCTOR lost his cool, nitwit... Your people skills are ZERO POINT SHIT...
As always dude, your videos are awesome. I would love to see you do The Ghan in Australia. The history of the train alone is just a phenomenal subject to research. I know you don't drink, but even the winery region is worth the views alone, let alone the barren outback stretches.
I am Canadian and I got to admit that I am spoiled by VIA Rail... The Canadian that travels from Toronto Ontario to Vancouver B.C. seems like a totally different league of train compared to Amtrak... From the meal service where the menu changes on a daily basis to the dome cars/observation cars.. Awesome showers, bar car, and train staff that are the best... Still Amtrak does look like an interesting adventure... and it's on my bucket list...
Unfortunately VIA does not run the Canadian with a daily service, it is more like a land cruise service at a much higher fare price... Once a week or twice a week service isn't DAILY. VIA requires THREE train sets running the Canadian, Amtrak requires SIX train sets just for the Empire Builder, SIX more for the California Zephyr, SIX more for the Southwest Chief, and THREE train sets for the trice weekly Sunset Limited, although there is talk the Sunset Limited will return to a daily service requiring THREE more train sets. Amtrak requires many, many more train sets to run daily services...
Hi u can see more beautiful train experience in Sri Lanka. There are old trains. 3 ways. Totally different nature. 1. Colombo to Matara - Can covered beautiful ocean (one day trip) 2. Colombo to Badulla - Can covered beautiful mountains, waterfalls (one day trip) 3. Colombo to Jafna train - very different nature with paddy field Please come to Sri Lanka….
I plan on taking the southwest chief soon. I took it from L.A. to Chicago back in 1989. But it was all in coach. Wife and I plan to take it round trip. won't be in coach this time.
Ah yes, THAT table. The crew have always used that one on every trip I’ve ever taken, also noticed that the first table near the door is sometimes used by the conductor. Usually they are noticeable as being used by the crew, when in doubt I think it’s best to ask. I’ve been scolded by crew before as well. Most veteran crews will post the little blue sign as a crew space
Try the zephyr during winter in the Rockies! It is amazing. The steak has always been great. We took the train around the country last year and again in March 2025 we are doing it again.
We did the eastbound Zephyr in May as part of a longer rail tour of the US and loved it. Your difficulty walking through the moving train brought back memories - these striped poles between the cars aren't for decoration!
If you ever get the chance come to Australia and try the Indian Pacific, which goes from Sydney to Perth. A distance of 4352 kilometres. Or the Ghan that travels from Adelaide to Darwin a distance of 2979 kilometres. I enjoyed watching your video. What a great way to travel across America. The scenery is amazing especially through the Rockies. This is definitely something my wife and I would love to do this one day, if we can get to America.
🎉Glad you take your working out so serious. Saw a video where they used luggage like a kettle bell. Dips off the luggage racks and push ups anywhere you can. Bonus was the stair hops, if you have a 2 story. You can be creative, kill a little time and burn off a few calories.
Am the same on trying to fit in at least a small workout when I travel by train, even some yoga on the chair.. On a plane it is impossible. Th seemed excellent!!e desserts looked excellent!!😄
Not to sound like one of those nit-picky know-it-alls, but I believe the Moffat Tunnel is the third longest train tunnel in the US. The longest and second longest are the Cascade Tunnel and Flathead Tunnel, respectively, both on the Empire Builder. The Moffat is indeed the highest in the US though. Happy travels, love the video!!! :-)
Enjoyable. Have done same several times. What other countries: The Canadian across Canada. Will be one of your most memorable experiences! I did it just before COVID hit. Thanks
That sleeper car attendant when you boarded in Chicago was the one I had a few weeks ago on the zephyr from Sacramento to Chicago. I forget the guys name.
I enjoy this video. . You should look d have report the behaviour of that employee. You paid money. You should be respected. Enjoy your time on thevtrain.
Oh damn, you missed Donner Pass by missing that last train. Its the area that would compete the most with EU countries you mentioned. The Sierra Nevadas are freakin gorgeous.
You asked which countries to travel through next by train. Canada, of course, Australia's Indian Pacific, China to Urumqi or even Lhasa (if they'll let you in), the Orient Express from Venice to London, the Pride of Africa in South Africa and, of course, the Trans-Siberian Railway -- maybe Beijing to Moscow. I think you can even go from Moscow to Paris (change in Berlin).
Amazon video, I’m gonna make this journey soon. I like the necklace and bracelets you’re wearing. Would you mind sharing the link on how to purchase them. Thanks man.😊
@11:50 The Canadian DEFINITELY does not run through the USA. It goes north around the Great Lakes across the provinces. You MUST give it a try, specifically from Toronto to Vancouver. Your route showed The Empire Builder which runs from Chicago over to Washington/Oregon.
You should try Indian trains. They are not known for being punctual but I can tell you by my experience the beauty and diversity of the landscape will remain with you throughout your life, and of course then there are people who will make the journey more interesting.
I did travel from NY to Montreal it was fun ! Train is the best way to travel if you like to see the country ! I love train! You can save water and have shower together with your neighbour 😂😂😂
You could come back to canada and do the Jasper to Prince Rupert train then a ferry back to vancouver, or Winnipeg to Churchill train to see polar bears. The Alaska train looks like fun. Go to Stettler, Alberta and take your wife and son on a historic steam train complete with train robbers on horse back and a home cooked meal - a full day and a lot of fun.
He messed with the CONDUCTOR'S paperwork and coffee cup apparently. He is lucky he wasn't booted off the train. Never, ever mess with anyone's stuff in America, it is very poor manners...
If you like Banana Pudding, you should try the banana pudding from the Little Cupcake Bakeshop on prince street. I think theirs is better than Magnolia. Thanks for another great video!
It’s not another country, yet you should try the Empire Builder from Chicago to Seattle. I’ve done it 4 times and also some beautiful scenery especially the second day when you get to glacier national park and the cascades
Can you make a video where you live solely on "trains" on AmTrak where you crisscross the US for a total of 30 days? You can not fly or drive or even use any buses even if AmTrak would put you on a train? You would have to find a way to go to all of the different cities on only train routes, would you be up for the challenge?
Most of Amtrak employees are very rough, at least on all the trains I have taken from Eastside to Westside to Northside, there are a few with good customer service skills, but unfortunately they are a lot of employees very rude and I don't understand why, because their work is customer service oriented.
Yet he messed with the CONDUCTOR'S table at the diner/cafe car... He was lucky he wasn't booted off the train! Every cent the train spends has to be accounted for in their books... I don't know how the British conductor rule their trains, but in America never ever shift anyone's stuff anywhere on a train... Its just very poor manners!

It is always great joy to watch your video. You are such a humble and amicable guy.
That was lots of fun thank you brother😅❤
I lived in Logan from 1972-1985. Went to USU for years! Gorgeous place, outstanding camping. Great video, thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Yeah it was truly bizarre. I did actually report him because his behavior was unacceptable. I never heard back from Amtrak though
Like cmon now that’s crazy

Ethnic activities
Traditional Dining needs to come back to all overnight routes.

Great Video 👍 Funny and informative, well done !
Very professionally done review. Subscribed.

That Chocolate Mousse Cake looked AMAZING for a train ride!
Still dreaming about it
Really enjoyed your journey w Amtrak, great style, presentation. Loved the music at intervals...
The stinky feet announcement had me cracking up.
It was seriously so funny
I always take Amtrak and currently planning a NYC to Seattle trip

You guys should come back to Peru, ride the Andean Explorer (Cuzco-Puno-Arequipa route), and see Arequipa. Your videos are awesome.
How much you pay for Chicago to California?
Those Amtrak employees are topnotch.
Super great video. Thanks!

Great Video. Loved it!
Loed your video, putting on my solo travel list.
Very nice video ❤ I am empressed and enjoying 😊🇮🇳🙏
I enjoyed your video. The only con is that you didn't finish it off with still traveling on the train to California.

I want to do this trip in the next few years. I did the Canadian about 7 years ago and didn't want it to finish! Recommend!
Oh wow I really want to do the Canadian as well I have heard such great things!
I love the mentality that if I can’t cross it by train. Fine I’ll do it myself. Very Sam from lord of the rings.
