Looks like a capable system. Sound hound has competition indeed. I wonder if other car manufacturers will outsource the software engineering to sound hound to integrate a voice assistant in their cars. Stellantis, already has, but how many more will adopt it? Mercedes is also transitioning into a software company. an interesting move. does that mean they'll be planning to offer software services as an additional stream of revenue, and will that include their voice assistant to other cars? maybe not. that's a conflict of interest. although nvidias customers are also it's competitors. so it's not farfetch. the numbers may not make sense enough to justify selling software to their competitors as i don't think they can charge a high enough fee to generate enough income only to make their competitors better as voice assistant services need scale to generate revenue. But who knows. If they're able to dominate the voice assistant market for the auto industry, that might be a sizable enough revenue. However soundhound is targeting more than just the auto industry. I wonder how this will play out.
