When I was a little girl, I never understood why my grandmother was so strict about not allowing worldly music in her home. You couldn't even pull up with loud music playing in your car. She listened to gospel music all day long, and we weren't allowed to watch music videos on TV. Now that I'm older and she's in heaven, I thank God for her wisdom. I understand what she meant, and God has revealed a lot to me about the music industry. Nothing on earth is so important that it's worth risking your place in heaven.
My Grandparents in NC were the same way. We could play our music on the front or back porch or in the yard but couldn't bring it in the house period!

I stopped officially listening to secular music years ago. However recently, I had felt pressured to put on a secular song when I was with my cousins bc they aren’t Christian (really lukewarm) and I regretted it instantly. I’m learning to do this Jesus walk unapologetically. He’s worth walking with and living for! Nowadays if the music or tv isn’t feeding my spirit I don’t want it! I don’t even go on social media anymore and it can sometimes feel isolating bc I don’t participate in a lot of things people our age do….but like I said Jesus is worth it..the safest place to be is in the Lords will..period!💯

I feel like social media on fb is all about keeping up with the jones and reminds me of that scripture about people will be lovers of self. The amount of selfies woman post daily is so ridiculous. Here's a rule of thumb for anyone wondering about what they're listening to: If the music you listen to glorifies sin, it's no good. Give it up and ask the Lord to help you to worship Him in spirit and in truth. Charity Gayle has a great album. SBN music is amazing. Hope this helps! ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥

I’ve wrestled with sexual sin for many years. I want to make the right choices & repent of that sin. But whenever I listen to Doja Cat or Chloe Bale… my thoughts always go to sexual sin & I just know my choices are close to follow. It’s like I envision myself as some vixen. This is confirmation for me that I need to disconnect from listen to secular music & keep my thoughts on things of God.
Please do repent and turn away from sexual sin. Whenever you get the urge, say "I plea the blood of Jesus." God can and will deliver you from sin. He's stronger than any demon and He will help you. Rather than try to keep your thoughts on the things of God on your own, trust Him and commit your life to Him. The temptation will always be there but call on the name of Jesus and you will get stronger.

I had a friend who want to ask me how I could be such a prude…? Which I thought was a weird question, but then I thought about it the difference between her and me she immerses herself and all of those Niggerish culture, she also follows Anime, ‘for her kids’….. when I told her basically what this video is trying to say, she laughed at me. It was like, ‘ I to do what I want to do media ain’t influencing me.’😢😮 but yet we call these idols, these walking idols, influencers.
My mom passed 5 years ago and i decided at that time I would give up listening to R&B to cover myself from depression, despair and any other feelings that would come my way. Since then, every now and then an old song i liked would play in my head and i would listen to it. One day i was listening to New Edition's "N.E Heartbreak " and at the end they sing " Beware of N.E. heartbreak

I havent listened to it sense and now if i try to listen to R&B songs i quickly get bored and those old memories that are tied to those songs no longer interest me. I enjoy gospel songs that are uplifting and praise God (because not all do), nice jazz, and every now and again and oldie. I just wanna praise God in every aspect of my life.

Thank you for your post. I'm glad that people are realizing, not every gospel song is pure and Holy. I had a huge gospel collection when l stopped listening to secular. Over the years, I realized that some of the songs sounded to secular. Now, l only listen to hymns.
Funny I've always loved R&B hip hop rap hard rock alternative 80s u name it and my mom passed less then 2yo and I was in a terrible depression just as I felt like I was getting out of it I lost my job then my legs got stress fractures thay won't heal. So depression city right. But the funny thing is that allowed me the time to open my Bible again. I had read it once and really enjoyed it and studied it and for a time got on what I thought was the right path.
This time around I also started watching more Christian leaning content on YT and found several good chains that have helped me to realize that what I thought before was "judgemental hypocrits" or "love is love" or whatever progressive Christian ideology I was walking around believing was actually me projecting the things I didn't want to change. So since I've started paying more attention and really working on myself. I'm trying so hard to quit cursing and now cringe alot when other do it around me especially Christians. I'm so thankful in alot of ways bc had it not been for this time to reflect id be doing the same expecting different results.
Now everytime I hear songs even ones I used to love all I can hear in them is the satanic undertones. Every single day I find myself saying, wow my parents were right. Why didn't I listen lol. Thankfully I'm finally truly waking up. I'm listening now. Go's has since given me a peace about what's to come. I don't worry as much over things I have no control over and it is so freeing. I've always known God's love but I was never fully willing to walk thr path he was leading me towards.

Secular music had always been a part of my life. Several years ago God began delivering me out from under many worldly things, especially music. I couldn't believe that when I turned on the radio it was impossible to listen to the songs I'd always (thought) I loved. Music, movies, TV and books that I'd depended on for entertainment are now so repulsive to me that I can no longer listen or watch or read them. I never thought about "giving them up", God took them away. I give all the glory to Him. Thank you for sharing His Word!

Then one day, I heard an audible voice command me to turn it off! “ Do not EVER listen to his music again!” So I cut it off. And every since then I’ve felt compelled to obey this. Music is very powerful. It can evoke emotions that you didn’t realize were there. I can instantly tell you the grade I was in and what feelings I had when certain songs come on. Just as worship songs that point to Jesus make me think of all he is to me and how grateful I am to call him my father. 🙏🏽
I used to be obsessed with Beyoncé back when I was 14, I knew all her lyrics and all her songs but then one night I had this dream. In this dream her face his changed into “Sasha fierce” her alter ego. Anyways her face changed to some demonic skeleton and she was ice skating with a wip in her hands singing and wiping her audience. I’m 19 now and I REFUSE TO LISTEN TO BEYONCÉ. My friends think I’m weird because I don’t listen to her but since I had the dream I can never. Every time her songs come on I turn it off quickly, and I haven’t seen her face the same since I had that dream.

I can believe you, I've been listening to her songs for years aswell other artists aswell, in my younger years, and there has been a time I could not sleep anymore, feeling weird unusual vibes or the sense that I was not alone in my house. I remember when I had my first demonic dream of Bey. It scared me, but I didn’t take heed to the message, and continued to listen to her. After that, I’ve had many other demonic dreams about her, and I watched RUclips videos of people talking about and showing the witchcraft in her music. That’s when I finally made the decision to delete all of her music off my playlist.

Holy Spirit revealed the power of secular music and its demonic influence to my brother and I years ago. Neither of us stayed on the straight and narrow, but I paid attention. I did not stop listening to all of it, but I knew some had to go. We were teenagers in the late 90s and early 2000s when hip-hop started to shift in a different direction. I remember my brother saying he was listening to a particular rap song and started smelling weed. That's when I knew it was serious. Thank you for sharing and obeying Holy Spirit.

Thank you for posting this video! I struggle with secular music and I’m called to be a worshipper. It’s so hard but I’m going through my playlist now and deleting songs that have no business being on my phone. Most of them are songs from highschool before Christ but sometimes my playlist is on shuffle and my flesh wants to jam out lol. But I want to go deeper with God and to lead God’s people through spirit and truth. The Lord been calling me to go deeper and to sacrifice secular music to go deeper. It reminded me of my granddaughter. First, she is sooo… talented as a artist (drawing). Never attended a art school just self taught.
But her love is horror, she even purchased a life size Chucky doll. I know it’s demonic, but to tell this to my granddaughter it’s nothing wrong with it.
I feel she can share her God given talent drawing something else and more meaningful. I don’t know what else to do, but pray for her.

I stopped listening to secular music in 2009ish. I noticed anytime I hear a small potion of a song I use to listen to in high school or earlier it plays in my mind over and over. So this thing about music is definitely true. I fill myself with many songs that glorify the Lord and will sing those in my mind instead.

It's amazing because when I would listen to secular music it would interrupt my prayers! I couldn't even pray! Even now that I don't listen to it anymore if a song is being played somewhere like in a store I literally have to sing a GODLY song out loud to over-ride the demonic song so it won't be in my spirit! I had such a struggle changing my music playlist. I came to a point where i listen to piano, classical, music with no words. It felt like detoxing my mind. Once i silenced the music, i recognized my self talk mirrored the music that was so full of hate and disrespect and evil. Ive been way nicer to myself since switching. When i di want words i usually go to country or gospel.
I love instrumental music.

Amen! When my kids started singing along to secular music is was a wake up call. I switched to county music since it was much more tame. But I gave up secular music about a year 1/2 ago and rarely listen to anything but worship and gospel now. Even have to practice discernment with even that, unfortunately.
Please pray for me, I'm 16 and I really struggle with stopping myself from listening to secular songs. Especially when they're popular songs.
I struggle with it too, but I notice that when I pray more and I'm on fire, I barely listen to secular song, but whenever my prayer life goes cold I'm easily drawn to secular songs.

this truly breaks my entire heart!!! so many people, people whom I LOVE SO DEARLY, are idolizing these “celebrities” but really they’re worshiping Satan right along with them!! SZA is another artist that comes to mind, especially her song “Kill Bill”. For the entire song she’d say, “rather be in jail than alone.”Lala, when I tell you she literally said at the very last line of the track that she’d rather be IN HELL than alone…and that song blew all the way up!!! I started having a weird feeling about SZA too even before her new album. I liked her voice tho so i didnt give up listening to her. And even with that spiritual conviction, I listened to her newest album anyway (spirit on edge the whole time cuz I knew she was gonna say something crazy😭) and that last line of Kill Bill said enough for me...like girl huh? It's never that serious. Kill Bill is literally playing EVERYWHERE it cringes me. Another bit of a song of hers is popular too where she's like "I can't see I'm blind". Idk they all feel like word curses. I turn her off anytime I hear her now.
In my process of cutting secular music out my life, I felt that I could pick and choose what songs could stay because "yea that one song they sing is bad but this one is about 'love' " or some other excuse like that. I know that ultimately I need to cut it off completely bc if they don't stand for God then what's really the influence? It's an uncomfortable spot to be in because I've grown so attached to certain songs/artists. But I know with God's help, I can be set apart.

Not everyone that possesses demons are going to be saved no matter how much we pray for them! They have sold their souls to the devil and they ain’t getting it back! I say we pray for the ones that are listening to them, to not listen, to not fall victim of the devil, don’t let their riches fool you into being as them. When I was 12 my dad asked me if I loved the devil and I said no I love Jesus Christ and I hate the devil! He told me if I didn’t say I loved the devil and hated Jesus, he wasn’t giving me any more money and he would make sure I would never be famous like his other children. I told him I don’t care I don’t want your money and I hate you and I hate the devil and I love Jesus more than you and I will never stop loving Jesus ever! He was pushing in a swing on the playground during this conversation. He pushed me really high, and he kept asking me to say I love the devil and I kept saying I hated him and the devil and I loved Jesus. Then he said well since you love Jesus so much , see how you like this, and he grabbed my ankles while I was swinging high and he flung me out of the swing forward and I fell about 6’ to the ground that was covered in big pieces of sharp limestone and then he said, so you love Jesus now? And I said yes I still love Jesus and I still hate you and the devil. You have to just realize some people are destined to hell, and we need to pray for the people who they’re trying to take with them to be strong, because those people who are trying to convert them to the devil’s side are beyond help, and personally I would never trust them, because they can’t be trusted.

Spent about $600 for one ticket too. As the months went by, I was feeling convicted to not go, but I ignored it. I really was like man nahhh God, but dis Usher!!!🥴😆
God said aight bet. MY WHOLE LIFE litchrally fell apart (including the untimely death of my mother) so of course I wasn’t able to go. Tried to sell ticket, which was worth about $2300 by December, because it was a floor seat, by the orchestra on NEW YEARS EVE IN VEGAS. Couldn’t even resell it.
The Lord dealt with me for months about it hunny. Told me I never should have intended to go, never should have bought the ticket, said I would not be reimbursed for it, stop playin with Him and obedience and move on with my life. Yep, true story, not even kidding.

I discovered your channel this week after running across a video about fraternities and sororities that fascinated me because many people often ask why I never pledged after the Air Force considering the university I graduated from has several alpha chapters. Your video about music and music reminds me of a recent convo I had with a saved friend when I told her Satan has ministers too and what the Bible calls “doctrine of devils” is often spread through music since Lucifer at one time was the lead musician in heaven. Plus many of the secular artists don’t realize how the Enemy is using them. I used to teach children’s Sunday school and if I heard a kid singing a secular song in class, I would stop my lesson, write the lyrics on the board and as a class we would evaluate if the song lined up with the Word of God. It was a fun way to teach the kids how to think about what they listened to even at young ages. Thank you for your boldness and obedience to what God has called you to do! I pray many blessings upon the life of you, your family and God’s plans for your social media presence!
