Ayo you may not of heard this one but have you considered darkeater midirs theme in the style of doom? It's from dark souls 3 and for an orchestral song is pretty heavy by itself, just an opportunity to make it even heavier
@GeoffPlaysGuitar I think Vauthry from ff14 deserves a doomified theme. At some point in the future. I think a harp is exactly the kind of instrument that would sound insane if it got your musical overhaul.

For some reason, the theme switches in this are perfectly fitting the last agni kai if you start this video at 0:00 and the last agni kai (v=PRkI15fIJ1) at 0:11. It is actually insanely accurate on multiple occasions
I could just somehow see this being played in the final boss fight against the Dark Lord in the Ancient Gods Pt. 2. Particularly the beginning part and the final verse.

That's really good! I kinda wish it did the whole 9 minute Dancing Mad but it's enough of a re-imagining that it stands on its own as its own thing and doesn't need to be shackled to the two sources. Still, if you wanna do another one I would be delighted.

That beginning part is awesome, it reminds me of one of my D&D villains, a subspace demon acting under the guise of a god of light From what I know about the character the original song is about, I guess the false god part isn't too far off.
The newer nether stuff by Lena Raine probably make for better doom metal covers imo, like someone already made a kickass doom metal cover of Rubedo, one of said new nether songs
