I actually used this video to get at my recirculating actuator that was broke. Once the speaker is out of the way, it was east work to replace it. Thanks!
Great Video! I finally got this Sub/Tweeter Kit installed and your Video was extremely helpful. These Speakers are a huge improvement compared to the Factory Speakers. I may also upgrade my Soundbar with the exact same Sub/Tweeter Kit.
Or that the left side screw is a 7mm screw (not a bolt) which is inaccessible except with either a very short box wrench or (even better) a ratcheting box wrench. Removing that one will teach you the virtue of patience.
Do you not plug in the factory wiring any where that was plugged into the tweeter to begin with? In other words, is the only input into the crossover coming from the mid range speakers wiring? Basically, after the new install, the original tweeter wires are left unplugged right? Thanks!
No mass loading of the box? No polyfil? Does the increased midbass not "pop" in those boxes? My stock system pops regularly...I am about to upgrade and am worried about that. Stock Jeep audio components are the worst of the worst
WHAT IS THE HOLE SIZE THERE? I AM CURRENTLY BUILDING A FULL SYSTEM IN MY 2016 JKU AND I BOUGHT KICKER 6.5" 2 WAY SPEAKERS. IT SEEMS THE SOUNDBAR I NEEDED ADAPTERS TO INSTALL THE SPEAKERS I BOUGHT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE THE LONG EARS LIKE THE FACTORY ONES. I AM ASSUMING THE HOLE IS TOO BIG FOR STANDARD 6.5" WILL I NEED A SECONS PAIR OF THE ADAPTER RINGS FOR THE DASH OR NO? IT DIDNT APPEAR YOU DID.
This is a helpful video, but what you don't show is just how much of a bitch it is to get the driver's side speaker box out. No glove compartment hole to go thru on that side!
Parts linked in the description!

Wanted to see the Driver's side install as well. Good video for the passenger side.
Me too. The driver's side isn't as kind as the passenger side. lol
Nobody shows the drivers side

This might be a stupid question but what about the driver side speaker
Jeep wanted permanent front speakers 4 everrrrr!!!
Super helpful! Thank you!
Great clear vid! Thanks!
Outstanding video.
Great explanation on where exactly that other bolt on the bottom is 🙄

Ok now the driver side??
No driver side install?
This video is pointless without showing how to remove both sides.
It most certainly provides 50% of the point
So uhhh… what about the freaking driver side there champ?
Great video mate, definitely a good upgrade

Same question
Hey what did you end up doing. Just leaving the wire harness there, no big deal?
So 6.5 will fit in the front
What about the driver side install?
Very simlar, except you have to carefully pull the panel back by and to squeeze the speaker box out.
@@bfb3086 LOL
How about the drivers side. That one was easy

What crossover did you use?? Why no link??
Crossover is included with the component set. And it is linked in the description.
What did you do with the old tweeter wires?
The tweeter bracket holes are off center, If you turned the bracket 180 degrees would the screws fit in the correct holes?
Why do all the videos I see only replace the passenger side?
Because the drivers side knee spkr is a bear.
Do U have to run crossover with stock tweeter? Also what speakers are you using and what’s price
Thnx! Why a crossover?? What's its purpose??
It puts the high end frequencies to the tweeter and the mid frequencies to the mid
Do you use self tapping screws?

You did the easy said you should’ve did the driver side much harder

what are the original speakers
