A cashless society scares the crap out of me. The government then has the ultimate control. You could be cut off and penniless at the flick of a switch 😳
I agree, being cashless is not a good thing at all. My husband likes cash, when we had that outage in Australia the shops then were asking for cash. Relying on digital completely is bad news.
When we had that internet outage here in Tassie, all the shops and supermarkets closed. I said why couldn't they accept the ones that had cash, I was told that you need the registers to be working to accept the cash as well, nothing was working so no one could shop. They would have lost millions. People like cash at garage sales, Facebook market place, etc, and people also detest atm, and eftpos fees.
I've always said.we're going toward the non use of cash,.know what that means? With one flick of a switch, anyone can be prevented from having money and consequently broke, homeless, starving etc. That's where we're going.
Fiona and Graham, I agree with you about the cashless society. What will happen if there is a power outage while your shopping at the store or you need gas for your car or you need to see the doctor? Happy to hear, that things are looking up for you both about the Diane Durnham situation.
A lot of places have refused cash now and put signs saying we don't have any cash. The odd thing was that around 8 weeks ago, there was a power cut, and nothing worked, so they all had to close. It's really daft because look at all the customers they've lost. Whenever there was a power cut when I was working in a shop, we just lit candles and carried on.
Living on the Gulf of Mexico for most of my life we must always have cash during hurricane season. Fortunately most local businesses know this and accept cash. Go towards Houston, forget about cash. I agree with y'all, we can't live on plastic cards solely. JS GG 😊
🌻If a business requests that I pay with a card instead of cash I remind them that it's against the law to refuse the currency of the land. I never want to live in a cashless society. It's easier to overspend when you don't see the actual money leave your hands🌻Andrew did nothing wrong. I hope that the trolls go to jail SOON.
A shop I use to shop at on a regular basis decided to go cashless (a woman stood at the counter with hundreds of dollars worth of clothing and ended up walking out because they wouldn’t accept her money) ... another one further down the street took both ... the shop that only took card lost so much business they were struggling ... the other one was thriving ... after about 6 months the new sign went up saying that they now accept cash ... but sadly the damage had been done and the customers never returned.
Gees, recently in Italy there was a problem in our webnet, apparently a fiber line was cut in Switzerland. No one could charge card anything in the stores or take money out from the banks. This happened on Black Friday. We, the Italians, went bonkers. I prefer cash. Thank you
It was a few years ago when I warned my husband the day would come when the cashier /robotic check refuses to allow the sale. "purchase refused. You exceed your alcohol allowance we this week."
My husband experienced the same thing with his grandfather many years ago. They came down from Scotland and was told they couldn't accept Scottish money so he told them ok l just won't pay. They soon accepted it.
Good Afternoon / Evening Graham & Fiona, from Texas. . Very Interesting info . Hopefully it’s true and people will finally leave Prince Andrew alone. I just watched you on @HG Tudor ‘s channel Fiona . Take care & God bless you both family. ❤
I totally agree with you, Fiona, re: Prince Andrew, he has been treated so unfairly... without 'real proof of any charge'... he ought to be treated with respect. He is a true war hero, after all... unlike the one that chose to walk away from his royal duty 🙄 Just my opinion !!
A few weeks ago my local ASDA could not take card payment, customers were told on entering. Luckily I had my purse with me so could get my shopping, I usually just carry my credit card folder. phew ! As for Prince Andrew, I totally agree Fiona, I'm so fed up with the finger pointing.
Poor Andrew. Let’s take a look back a Charles’ dubious friends. Alan Dershowitz best constitutional lawyer in the US. He tried to speak to Andrew before he signed the settlements. We don’t really know who the Royals’ “friends” are. “Acquaintances” might be a more accurate term. They will all meet and be encouraged to mix with thousands of people - and many of them will be fawning and trying to make connections. Royals won’t know what the intentions of these people are, so I don’t think you can be too judgemental about who they are seen to be mixing with.
This is hilarious but ridiculous at 7:05 the same time. We also got caught in terrific thunderstorm and were unable to pay - had to go back later - but as I always say technology is great - until it isn’t!!! I am also fed up with PA being used as a scapegoat!!!
Graham, that is happening in the U.S., too. Many places in Meridian will have either take cash or take cards - that is so annoying. I rarely carry cash, but now I have to have a stash of cash hidden away, because I have no idea what form of payment these places will accept.
I have been refused payments in cash a couple of times in London. I have heard that payments by checks and cash will stop in a few years times... You are both looking very dapper this evening.
@@JulieannLewis-r6l It is the honorable thing to do to prevent criticism and judgement of the rest of the family. We don’t know - but I wouldn’t be surprised if he attends some private gatherings behind closed doors, but won’t appear at church or in public, entering and leaving under cover.

This is absolutely true: It was 2007 and I got the council tax bill in March. I decided to go to the council offices in Daventry to pay the amount in full in cash. They refused to accept my payment. Told me to pay it at the post office. 🤷♀
Yes, I pay cash at the Post Office - no way am I giving the council the slightest hint of where I bank!! Good evening Graham & Fiona, I watched Steph’s report earlier, can’t believe that nasty horrible woman, still appears to have ignored the judge’s advice to secure a lawyer to represent her in court. Just wonder how long she’s going to be allowed to drag this out!🤨 I also just watched Fiona’s ‘Ten Commandments for Meghan’ interview with HG Tudor, really enjoyed listening to that, MM’s public life would come to an abrupt end if she had to adhere to THOSE 10 commandments she’d positively implode 🤯! 😱💥😂🤣 Take care & hope you have an enjoyable & relaxing evening, enjoy the calm before the storm … with Benji & his girlfriend arriving plus Faith & Brandon already home with you for the festive season, your going to be kept busy!
