    After the rains subsided, The ark came into land, much higher up Mt. Ararat.. There, Noah and his sons began to unload many of the animals and use much of the timbers within a cave toward the top of the mountain... It took over a year, maybe two years, for the waters to recede on the earth ... During this time, the ark of Noah continued to recede down the mountain side and came to rest in the mud much lower on the mountains below the peak of Mt Ararat ... Over in the valley, close to where the ark came to rest, you can find many of the massive ballast stones that were tied to ropes and hung below the ark, to keep it from capsize in the storm of the flood... These stones were cut away by Noah and his sons, as the ark approached its first landing point toward the peak... so as not to interfere with their approach to land... Noah and his wife and sons and their wives then moved down the mountain, with the receding waters and built their home in the high mountain valley where today the ballast stones are found, along with the remnant of their home made of stones.. as well as the grave of his wife ... This area has been recorded by tradition by the locals for over 4000 years as the valley of Noah. The museum, next to the actual remnants of the ark, tells the rest of the story...
    Being as how I am a man that lives in reality. An investigator and man of reason... The account of HOW the , landing, disembarkation and logistical occurrences of the animals, shop and family went... are my own... Based on evidence that everyone else argues about, in their effort to climb over the other person's back.... The ENTIRE EVIDENCE of the ENTIRE AREA is a collective of one event. And that event is recorded in an historical document called The Book of Genesis, written by Moses, whom God chose, to do MANY things for him, to introduce himself once again to humanity... of which over 75% deny him in this day, which is approaching the very same reason that God destroyed humanity the first time. ... Yet he promises not to do that again in the same way, but by FIRE next time.... And there IS coming a "next time", so God provided an "ark" for humanity to enter into, to be saved from that destruction ... the "ark" is salvation, through his son, Jesus Christ..... On that day of "next time", coming at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ .. MANY will be screaming and pounding at the doors of the "ark" to be allowed to come in ... But it will be too late .... MANY of those people, are those making disparaging and false remarks about the authenticity of the remnant of Noah's ark... and about the eternal and majestic existence of our creator and Lord God Almighty.
    Believe it or not. Your choice. Free will, to serve and believe, or to malign and destroy... Your reward will be such.

      I believe in the whole Bible, but I don't understand how they survived the aftermath of all this. Wouldn't all plant life have been destroyed by all the mud and salt water? How would animals leave the Ark and find fresh food, and wouldn't the predator animals slay the herbivores? It says Noah became a farmer and planted a vineyard.

    I think the best way to test the validity of Noahs Ark to a skeptic would be to build a boat exactly as laid out in Genesis. Load it with an actual zoo of as many animals as possible and have less than a dozen people take the boat out to sea for 40 days with no outside contact. Once that can be done the skeptics will have their proof.

      It's actually a bit more complicated than that. The rising water not only rose above the mountain tops it also drove the Earth's atmosphere up with it. We're used to wind moving horizontally, but when it moves (or in this case is driven) vertically you have a dynamic known as wind sheer, but on a massive, global scale. It would have been like floating on a horribly turbulent ocean being whipped by multiple category 5 hurricanes over and over again for weeks on end. Impossible to replicate.

      Read up on the massive amount of water currently below the surface of our planet. And yes, it is salty water...when the fountains of the deep opened...salty water was ejected. The rains provided plenty of drinkable water for those on the Ark. which would have been fully able to capture the water and disperse it to animals. The rains stopped after about 150 days attesting to the fact that Noah would have been capturing and saving water for the remaining 150+ days on the Ark. The Bibles states that the rains rose to 20+ feet above the highest mountains. As mountains continued to rise and ocean valleys formed where the fountains of the deep opened....mountains chains paralleling those ocean valleys like the pacific ring of fire... emerged. In the Asian continent Mt Everest continued to rise. All these mountains had risen from seabeds having millions of fossilized shells and mollusks at their tops...even Mt Everest.

    Also, this was a long time ago when the land was close and the climate was relatively the same with far less fluctuation we see today. And given this was many thousands of years ago, the kinds of animals would not have had as much diversity because there would be little need of different adaptations if the climate was similar throughout the land and diversity would still take a long time, probably thousands of years to create differentiable species.

      There was only one ocean and one continent before the flood. The flood caused continental faults that slowly split up into several continents separated by several bodies of water called oceans. It happened slowly. We still have "continental drift". After the flood ended the animals species slowly drifted away from each other just like humans did before the continents split. For instance, Siberia was once connected to Alaska. That's how the Native Americans got here. Their dna shows that they came from Siberia.

      Freshwater fish regulate the amount of water going in and out of their bodies through several mechanisms like drinking less water and producing dilute urine. If freshwater fish are put in saltwater, they lose water from their bodies due to the hypertonic environment. Their cells shrivel and die.

As land volcanoes dumped billions of tons of ash into the air, the Earth began to cool causing snow and ice to build up resulting in an ice age. That’s not taking into account that different animals require different environments to survive, such as meerkats and arctic foxes. Creationists do not have blind faith in a process that has never been observed (one kind of animal turning into another kind of animal). I’m not sure where you’ve gotten your information on genes from but genes definitely can be added. Genetic mutations can result in entirely new genetic information. Scientists have observed this in laboratory experiments, we can even add genetic material through modern day genome editing. We can’t directly observe evolution because it’s something that takes place over millions of years, that’s why we get our evidence through the fossil record. Noah's Ark was not built to withstand the violence of a stormy ocean. The 500 foot long vessel filled with animals, animal waste and poisonous, explosive methane gas had no seamless hull or bilge pumps to keep it from sinking or exploding. The Noah's Ark myth was borrowed from the epic story of the Gilgamesh Flood Myth found in the ruins of the great library at Nineveh in Iraq.
    Thanks to the enthusiasm of Christian zealots the ruins of Noah's Ark has been found in six different locations.

      It's funny that atheists look at separate accounts of the same event and just write it off as "the original", and then they pretend creationists are the ones who don't dig into the whole story. Unfortunately for your worldview, the Epic of Gilgamesh is literally about Nimrod and his relationship with Noah, and there are many other pagan artifacts which describe the exact same things as the story of Noah, and the Tower of Babel story. Enmerkar, for example, is also Nimrod and talks about how he wants "Lord Aratta" who "lives on the mountains" to submit to him and his army. The tablets are messages straight to "Lord Aratta" AKA Noah. Nimrod (Enmerkar) even talks about the "Tower" which he is soon to build for the gods, but Lord Aratta will not submit to him or his gods. There's so many biblical parallels because the stories are true, not because they're made up and the Bible copied them. That's a very naive way of thinking about this.

      @krakoosh1 11 месяцев назад +1

      Why would there be methane gas? The only reason modern cattle give off methane is because they are fed a grain diet. You don’t smell that going by a farm of grass fed animals. The Ark didn’t have a seamless hull? Or bilge pumps? It used pitch inside and out. You think wooden vessels we build today don’t have seemless hulks? Prove the biblical account came from the epic of Gilgamesh. Please enlighten us with more of your ship building expertise and knowledge of history

Many can hibernate with stored fat in their bodies to last throughout the winter months, such as bears, and other mammals, which also might have their young then also. In the spring, mama bear and her cub or cubs leave the den/cave for the rest of the spring/summer and fall months to restore fats in their bodies with mom showing the cubs how to survive …. The thing about that is those regions are also prone to occasional floods, so it shouldn't surprise anyone that there would be a history of floods.
    But what's most odd is the differences in languages evolving over the ten or so thousand years with the migration of ppl. Is 10,000 years enough time for ppl to migrate from the Middle East to Argentina, increasing their population along the way, from just a metaphorical handful of animals and plants to subsist on, while their language, lore and culture having lost all traces of Mesopotamian roots, except for the ancient flood mythology? The largest wooden ship ever built was the schooner Wyoming which was 449 feet long and had trouble because it flexed too much and needed modern pumps to evacuate the water that leaked in. If you put a wooden boat 2.5 football fields long (750 feet) in the open ocean it would break apart in the first mild storm it encountered. So, you might say well God helped hold it together, in which case, you could say well if God was going to intervene that much why didn't he just kill all the sinners straight away instead of killing them with a flood? Furthermore, how could a guy with no ship building experience build a ship that we can't build today with modern ship building techniques and an army of workers. Once again, you may say well God gave him super-human knowledge and strength to which I would say well if God was going to intervene that much then why not just kill all the sinners straight away instead of doing it with a flood.
