    Thank you for this video, Professor.
    You said "clean upper membrane to remove migrated cells", then "fix the cells on lower membrane". How many membranes has the insert?

      there is one membrane. She is referring to the top of the membrane and the bottom. The top has cells that can migrate to the bottom. When she cleans the upper membrane (the top of the membrane), she is removing cells that haven't migrated out of the top well, at the lower membrane (the bottom of the membrane) there will usually be cells that have migrated if the treatment is unsuccessful. if the treatment is successful, no cells will migrate at all! hope that helps.

    We have this assay working well in our lab with automated quantification of migrated cells 😊
