LP is an individual. She’s been around for quite a while and is criminally underrated. And she’s one of those artists that is even better live. In 2012 she played SXSW that resulted in a bidding war among labels. She signed with Island Def Jam and later with Warner but wasn’t promoted by either. Out of it came the album Forever For Now ( which LP felt was over produced) and the EP Live from the East West Studios ( which this performance is from). After playing the songs Lost on You, Muddy Waters, and Strange she was dropped by WB. At the time she kind of resigned herself to being a songwriter. She’s written for The Backstreet Boys, Cher, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion among others. After getting a totally random DM on IG from a guy in Greece who said that he thought he could do something with her song Lost On You she blew up all around Europe. Since then the song that WB passed on has gone 5X Platinum to Diamond level and over a Billion streams. From that label came the album Lost On You (2016) and she’s been touring nonstop ever since. In 2019 her Heart to Mouth tour sold out but Covid delayed the release of her latest album Churches until December 2021. She just did all the Lolla shows in South America as well as other festivals and headlining shows. Her North American leg of the tour just kicked off. Compared to many out there she has a smaller ( by mighty) fan base. After stumbling upon Lost On You in 2018 I fell down the rabbit hole that is LP. Her fans ( LPeople) travel from place to place and from country to country to see her perform. Her mother was an opera singer and LPs vibrato shows her classical voice training while her tiny 5’3 frame captivates and commands with its swagger. Yeah, I love her. Along with the usual requests Lost On You, When We’re High, Dreamer ( live from RUclips studios), Tightrope, Forever For Now ( my favorite), The One That You Love, One Last Time, Can’t Let You Leave… her Ukulele Series of In the Pines, The Widow and Something are acoustic and outstanding.

LP is just pure awesomeness!! A force of nature, in a league & genre all of her own!! Her sound is like no other!! Everything she sings is amazing & all the songs she has written are brilliant! Just look her up on here & pick any song & u won't be disappointed!
I love LP(Laura Pergolizzi)! So glad you found her! You can't go wrong with any of her songs. She has been around a long time and has many, many songs including originals that are fire. In this particular video I always get a kick out of watching the Bass Violin, aka Bass Fiddle to some, but watching the Bass Violin player's expressions and gestures leading the band. When he sheds the bow and starts using his fingers they fly! Thank you for doing this reaction Steve!
She’s an absolute powerhouse and her voice is stunning and through her mom and growing up she was trained in opera and you should absolutely react to more of her songs such as lost on you, when we’re high, one last time and the one that you loved

Love LP, so unique! Can't get enough of her music. Her voice should be famous for she is a better singer than some of the people she has written for. Also listen to the great voices of Guy Sebastian and Angelina Jorden.
She deserves so much more recognition for her exceptional talent...but she is gay, and they the big music contributors have to be careful not to offend the ugly minded, hearted a holes.
