@@vivaldireal1741 The first commenter had it right. Blue Wizzards take 3 hits with the magic sword and 5 hits with the white sword. When you are swarmed and trying to maneuver around 5+ chaotic enemies plus a pair of orbs that deaden your sword, in multiple rooms, those extra two hitpoints on the wizards are life and death for the player. That dungeon is punishing. Except for the red knight rooms in the previous 5 dungeons the game was pretty reasonable. But dungeon 6 is just hell on wheels with the white sword. Add in those enemies that look like a floating stack of pancakes that suck away your 90rupee magic shield and this place is just cruel. Ah well. First game in such a very long time that I have save scummed. But I got real tired of farming 158 rupees for a new red potion and shield for each crack at beating this sh*tshow.
when i go to the room through the wall after it says “there are secrets where fairies do not live” it wont let me push the block to unlock the staircase; but no mobs are spawning either, any idea how to fix this? i’m playing on the nintendo switch btw
I think I'm going to give up on this game. Movement is too stiff to deal with the Wizzrobes, combine that with how easy it is to lose the shield that can block the two heart wizzrobe attack, and the enemy that prevents you from attacking the Like likes as they're stealing your shield. There's this dungeon and then 3 more. It's too much. It's too punishing, and the punishment is wasting your time to the extreme. I was hoping the main challenge of the game would be figuring out where to go and adventuring. But it's clear from this video you need too much skill and the ability to conserve your shield, both of which I will never have.
Remember that this game came out for the Famicom/NES and in that era games were generally simple and short so to increase their longevity they generally required you to "git gud". With that being said I have some suggestions. If the Wizzrobes are doing 2 hearts of damage to you then you haven't gotten the Blue Ring (which will cut the damage you take in half). Having a Health Potion is also very helpful. If you haven't gotten the 2nd sword upgrade (the Magical Sword) then you'll want to get that as well as it does 4 times the damage the starting sword does and twice the damage of the 1st sword upgrade. Lastly, while I don't have any suggestions on how to keep your shield, are you aware you can kill the Like Likes with bombs (3 bombs each)? You're able to use bombs even when your sword is disabled although you probably can't use them while you're actively being munched on by a Like Like.
@@EmptyGarbageCan just saw this, thanks for the response. I'm pretty sure I was getting 2 hearts of damage even with the blue ring. Regardless, I wound up beating the game shortly after this lol. I did use a map for the last two dungeons cause I did just want to beat the game quickly at that point, but I'd reset whenever my shield got eaten, and I eventually got past the bad combination of like likes and wizzrobes, and it was pretty smooth sailing until that combination came back in the last parts of lvl 9. (Affording a potion by that point was a lifesaver) I did admittedly use a save state once when my shield got eaten in level 9, which is regrettable, but better than a reset. I beat Zelda 2 without any save scumming and less use of maps (though a guide was needed, mainly with finding the hidden village with a hammer) I actually enjoyed Zelda 2 a bit more than 1. Combat in 2 really did it for me, and I felt more in control than I did in 1.
@@sokoTV2 Zelda 2 is a very unique game. In my opinion the first 2 games are the most difficult in the Zelda series (technically there are a few games I haven't played, but I don't expect they're more difficult).
No wonder it looks easy. You already have the magic sword.
Doesn’t make it any easier not even gonna lie. The Blue Wizzrobes still take a lot of hits before they’re gone
@@vivaldireal1741 si son muy molestos

Thx for this
You're welcome!

Are you trying to push the block in the room with the Like-Likes or the Wizzrobes?
@@EmptyGarbageCan oh my goodness i rewatched your video and realized my mistake i was in the wrong room 😭😭
The key won't spawn in the second room with the wizzrobes
Edit: It spawned actually, but I used it in the room with the old man. What do I do now?
Small Keys can be bought from multiple shops in the Overworld. Find one that sells a key and by it.
@EmptyGarbageCan lol I just beat the game today, and only then did I read this comment😂
@@NumminGames Haha, well if you decide to tackle the Second Quest then you can keep what I said in mind should you run into a similar issue.
@@EmptyGarbageCan Or just don't use the key on the room with the old man
@@NumminGames Haha, yeah that's usually good advice.
Theres no other bombable walls?
No, there shouldn't be.

I just had a dream about this game. I can't give up. I have to beat this game legitimately
