To think, Sabaton thought 30 years was a life time, then thank Lord they didn't make a song about the 100 year war.

The 100 year war was... Interesting, to say the least, as it was fought in gaps and pushed by different people from start to finish.
The 30 years war was started and there were no ABSOLUTELY NO pauses. and unlike the 100 year war where the English never had their own people in danger, the 30 yr war saw EVERYONES civilian population devestated by the war
Don’t know which I like best, the Swedish or English version, they are almost separately unique, and the words, « Has man gone insane? » is priceless. God warned the Hebrews against making a king, that a king would send their sons to war.
i agree. the song sounds like "main character" is crying out to their god, or the sky, or whatever it is you're crying out to. you would do that in your own language, right? i'm glad the english version is here so i can know what the song is and all that, but i think the swedish version is more powerful, even though i don't speak swedish.
@@joshuabeaman2727 The English version is more from the perspective of an outsider looking over the whole war. The Swedish one is told from the perspective of one of the soldiers in the war.
