But for the price i bought, i am definitely not complaining. My old laptop i bought it for 440£, it was a ryzen 5 3600 laptop,internal vega graphics. So it was a good upgrade for me.

'Entry level' gaming laptops don't come with 16gb ram and 512gb storage. They come with 8gb ram and 256gb storage. This isn't an 'entry level' gaming laptop. It's one step up.

It's the dilemma i'm in now, trying to find a laptop to order at argos and most of their good deals are clearance items, the best deals sold out, and the rest although still good deals, have 256gb drives and 8gb ram - last season Victus's and Nitro's and TUF 15's. They do have a good deal on an Asus TUF 15 with 16 gig ram and a 1 terrabite drive but the heat issues are putting me off. I'm fed up with procrastinating about what laptop to get vs what is available at a good price.

@@anotheracal2825 I bought an Asus vivobook eventually for just under £900 which was more than i wanted to spend (Ryzen 7, 16gb ram, 500gb SSD, Vega 7 graphics ... actually very good for an integrated graphics). The TUF 15s, Victus's and Nitros were all very viable but they just didn't have a good bargain in stock at the time. There were some tempting Lenovo laptops also.
Sad.. the victus i own (2021 model) is a great, understated Omen substitute with: I7 11800H, (16) 32 Gb RAM, (0,5) 1,5 Tb Nvme, RTX 3060 (original spec) The Victus 2022 can't even be specced with the 3060 anymore. I really would've liked to see the line advance, but it's getting less performance actually. Still: mine is great, as are the 2022 models. The screen wobble is a non issue: despite carrying it daily and using it extensively throughout the last year, the hinges are as sturdy as day one. Although you might be annoyed using it in an earthquake with magnitude 9 and higher😏
I think they downscaled the 2022 to keep the Omen as the mid and high end alternative. Additionally given the chip shortage they probably wanted to minimize cross component use as it helps increase production.

If you don't have 20/20 vision, it is imperative to purchase a laptop with backlit lighting. Without it, there will be eye fatigue and subsequent loss in vision acuity.

Hey! I would say both the i5 and i7 versions can handle motions grpahics at FHD level without any issues. However at 4K you may run into slightly slower performance.

Has anyone had an issue with the touch pad sticking? Especially on left hand side? When you click it sticks down and feels like it pops in and out when you hold it near touch pad its annoying as its 2 days old
i have terrible experiences only two weeks in. first, the windows key didn’t work for a few days, it magically repaired itself. second,the screen just freezes at random times with gaps of an hour. to unfreeze it i have to restart the computer meaning i loose all my progress on whatever i’m doing. super annoying!! the built quality isn’t fantastic either, the monitor is wobbly and the touchpad is ass, not a fan of the keyboard either. i would happily go back to my 4gb ram 2015 mac air

@@thanginh557 I used it for a year, R5 - 3050ti model, no problem, even decided to upgrade it to duel channel and a 2tb ssd, the heat is every laptop problem when it come to gaming, you just need to find a solution for it and for victus 16 is simply find something to lift the laptop up for better airflow then switch to quiet for even less heat and almost no noise at all. Regardless, i still prefer my PC when it come to heavy gaming for a long session, but when im not home, this laptop have no problem handling any game
just got rid of my ASUS Tuf F15 due to repeat issues with it restarting unexpectedly, would recomend researching that issue as it seems to be fairly common, but by no means is it a constant in every ASUS Tuf f15 and when it did work it worked wonderfully
The one shown here is 3050 not 3050ti. Additionally games like Doom Eternal, Cyberpunk and COD MW2 cannot be maxed out at 4GB Vram. I can confirm this. They can all however be played at high/very high settings with reasonable FPS.
I just bought a HP refurb.. it's debadged. The legends are weird as hell... and the 0 key on the num pad is.. meh.. and I LIKE this laptop. That said, I repasted the CPU/ GPU and in passmark my lil 12500h is actually pulling higher numbers for cpu benchmarks than the 13500h.. It consistently gets just above 3600 STP and 24k CPUmark scores. The H processors are highly affected by cooling in the laptop they're in.. which means HP got this right cooling right.

As long as the programs you are using are in line with technical specificaitons you can use the laptop for engineering purposes as well.

Scared to use. Laptop glows red and power brick goes into meltdown after 5 minutes of normal usage. The noise is enough to wake the dead, avoid.
