Great kafabee. Today it's terrible. I remember on Friday night going to the National Guard armory in ft Lauderdale to watch wrestlers like Graham, Kiern, Sullivan, Roop, Pak Song, Humperdink, Ron Fuller. It was,always exciting inside and outside the ring. My friend punched Humperdink which I thought was pretty stupid.
Dusty Rhodes can't even stand up during an interview. All Dory Funk Jr did was hand Dusty Rhodes a chair so that he could sit down before the match so he could rest. Too bad that wooden folding chair was jammed shut. All Junior was trying to do was open that chair. It's doubtful that opening a chair would injure anybody. Then we get to the match. Dory Funk Jr is a real man, so he doesn't need any stooges like Lying Manny Fernandez or Rooster Humperdink to come to the ring with him. Look how he handles Lying Manny Fernandez after he is attacked. Funk throws him out of the ring like he's a sack of garbage. Funk doesn't need any weapons like a bag of ice Dusty Rhodes uses to defeat "the American Dream." He just beats Rhodes unconscious, and for one time in Professional Wrestling Justice is done. Dusty Rhodes needed a lesson, and Dory Funk Jr. gave it to him.
Junior was at the NWA 70th Anniversary Show. Too bad he didn't hand Cody Rhodes a folding chair just like he handed his dad Dusty a chair in this clip.
I agree that this is a political spin job by Dirty Rhodes, and the father he wish he had, Eddie Graham. Ernie Ladd had to go through the same thing with dirty rhodes.Ernie made him beg for mercy.!!! Dusty needs to sit down and rest before his match with Dory Funk Jr, so Dory comes out and hands the man a chair. It looks like Rhodes is falling down drunk because he hits the floor as soon Dory comes out to help him. Obviously, the chair is jammed shut, and Dory tries his best to open it for Dusty. It's doubtful that opening a chair would injure Rhodes. As the match starts Manny Fernandez attacks Funk for no reason. This is a handicap match, for Dory has to face Fernandez, Humperdink and a referee who is on the take, as well Dusty Rhodes. It's four on one. As for the match, look how Rhodes uses a bag of ice as a weapon, which is further evidence that Rhodes wasn't hurt. Fortunately Dory Funk Jr is a real man. And justice is served once again. Dusty Rhodes faked another arm injury when he lost the NWA World Heavy Weight Title to Harley Race.

Tom Renesto preceded them as one of The Original Assassins from the middle Seventies with Nick Gulas's NWA MidAmerica Championship Wrestling. I am unsure as to whom (possibly Dr. Ken Ramey and The Interns) however some very vicious guys smashed a wooden Coca Cola crate over Renesto's head on TV, splashing all around him with blood!😖 And in NWA Florida in 1976 a masked Bob Roop as The Gladiator offered Heel commentary as did Ernie Ladd with "The Taped Thumb" against "Dirty Rhodes" in 1977.🤔😂🎤🍊🌊☀️🌴🤼♂️B.W.
