I've been sewing for more years than you two are old. I was so entertained by your video! I needed to make masks for my 3 sons[your age] with beards. Kudos to you hubby for wanting to try this, and kudos to you wife for your patience while teaching him! Directions were very clear. Keep up the fun!!
July 2021 and I am looking for masks that be comfortable for my son-in-law who has a beard. I have found some masks in Lidl which are comfortable but he wants them adapted to include a bandana style front extension to cover his beard. I am trying different styles and this looks to be a great design, we need seven so there's one for every day of the week. This looks great and uses less fabric than many which is also great (heading towards our fourth lockdown and many shops have already closed voluntarily so I have to use my scraps, not many of which are plain). Take care and stay safe.
I have made three of these masks for my husband. Two Alabama masks and one Spongebob mask! :) The only thing I modified was the ties. Instead, I looped the elastic around the mask so he can just slip it on. Your tutorial is very easy to understand and fun as well. Thank you!
Thats so much fun. When ever our kid has a hard time sleeping we will go to the couch for a bit and watch some late night SpongeBob. So glad we could help.
I love the way you two work together 😂. You made this fun. And Katchi, with you directing Jarod and him sewing, it makes it so much easier to follow "how to." Being a novice seamstress, I love the very detailed instructions. Thanks! This is the first LONG video I've watched all the way through without increasing the speed or fast forwarding. 🤗 I didn't want to miss a thing! (actually watched it twice before I even got near my sewing machine.
Kim that's amazing! We are in this to help people like you. Thank you for the feedback. Let us know if you have any questions, we are planning for a begging sewing series this fall. 🙂👍
@@KatchiVatchi It's great videos like yours that gave me the confidence to sew some masks. But now my youngest son wants one that will cover his beard and stay on while he's on his Harley.
@@KatchiVatchi Thanks, yes I did raise him well. ☺️👍 I've been riding since 1970, got my first Harley in 1981, the year he was born. It's in his blood. At 64, with Multiple Sclerosis, I had to have my 1986 Wide Glide converted to a trike because I couldn't balance well enough to hold it up on one foot, tiptoe, or the other as I had for years.
Thank you so much for this video! Many of the beard videos I watched had men with beards that were small and short. They didn't help at all for men with legit beards. Lol My husband has a beard much like yours and he struggles so much with masks. I am patiently waiting for him to get home from work so he can try on the finished product. I"ll send a pic once he does!
thank you. I have a bearded husband and a bearded son. My husband would have much more trouble than you. He can't even cut with scissors. But I love him just the same.
The main panel was 31x13in and the 2 side pieces were 7x2.5 but you will probably need to adjust for the beard size. 31 was the approximate length of the beard times 2. 13 was the width we were comfortable with, basically from side burn to side burn. 7in was a guess to get all the beard into it. Jared likes it and we suggest 5-7in here. 2.5 in is pretty standard.
Hey Doug, thanks for letting me know. I was already aware of this use. I have been called Jare bear or papa bear before and I probably use this term too loosely. I hope not to upset anyone with this.
You two are so cute together. Thank you for the laughter and the beard mask tutorial. I'm excited about it.
Aww, thanks! We hope it works well for you!

We have thought about doing something like that before. Fun t shirts. Maybe it's time to take another look at it. 😋

Thats amazing, I'm so glad you were able to find a way to keep riding despite your setbacks!
Oh my gosh Jordan .. if you can teach Jared how to sew a mask .. you can teach anyone. Totally entertaining! Love you guys!!
Thanks Margaret! We had so much fun with this. Love you too!

Thanks Bekah! ❤
Watched this video on Christmas day. Expecting another few months of masking (though I don't have a beard). Showed it to the beardy husband, though.
Merry Christmas!
Thank you 😍😍sewing machine
You are welcome!
Oh my goodness!11. Love it!
Thanks Mom, love you.
love you two...well done
Why thank you!

You are so welcome, Jared says he believes in your bearded husband. Lol
What are the actual cut dimensions of the fabric, please.

where do I find the fabric dimensions and cutting instructions? this video confuses me
I need a couple of these. Do you sell?
Nope. Sorry. We don't have have the time anymore. 😕
are the measurements written anywhere?
Cindy, unfortunately not. Because it is custom fit, our measurements will not work for other people. Jared has a massive head and beard.
Couldn’t you make the ties go around the ears?
Yes you can. It's just personal preference here.
Katchi Vatchi thanks
No problem!
pattern pdf?
Nope, sorry. Because we are making it custom, we aren't going off of a pattern.
Jared on your first beard mask video, you kept calling yourself a bear. Gay men that look like you are actually referred to as bears.
