This song has always reminded me if my dear friend, Mike who just passed away in April. I saw PJ in September of last year and when they played the first cord of this song, I immediately thought of him and sent him a clip of Eddie singing it live. I love you, Huff and miss you every single day. Till we meet again. ❤
I always felt this song resonated with me when I was in the Army. When coming back home on leave it was great seeing everyone, my friends and family but I always felt indifferent to them all. I loved catching up, drinking, driving around and having a great time but I felt a bit of an outsider as much as I was an outsider to them, knowing I would be gone soon and forgotten about for the short term. I was always thinking about my brothers in my unit and subconsciously I was being pulled back to them even though I was with some of my closest friends from school and with my family. It's nice when paths cross, but sometimes we forget we are on different paths, and we become different people over time. It's only highlighted when we catch up, slow down, talk and start to think.
“It’s nice when paths cross, but sometimes we forget we are on different paths, and we become different people over time.” That was incredibly profound.
Like when you see friends from school, reminiscing, recalling stories and times, but ya know it’s never the same after some time away… makes me so sad sometimes. Like? We were almost family and now time and life got in the way and we’ve moved along. It’s still there, that love, but it’s changed….
To “Each Their Own” interpreted by the Listener, however the Song was written from Eddie (before being A Rock Star) speaking to Eddie (after) example i seen his picture, it doesnt look the same up on the rack (like seeing Himself on a cover of a Rock Magazine) ect… incredible to write a song and lyrically writing about Yourself and the Perception you see yourself in from a before & after view! So cool!

He wrote this song thinking about his friends and how he's always in and out of there lives.
He wrote the song about himself being a shitty friend. FACT!
No and no

Great song. It’s a shame we can’t really see Eddie in his young age here. Looks like a completely different person cause of the quality.
