Ad he's so precious, such dad. I kinda thought about it too because the chains in his house. And Aec loving Jace, that was cute. But i ship him and magnus. I love these books. In fact I love the Infernal Devices more. William Herondale in that is sort of the same jerky character as Jace but in fact so much more (and in my opinion) so much better. Also I love both Simon and Isabelle and they are my favorite couple (and characters) in this series. I literally tell strangers my name is Isabelle Lightwood and trust me if and when they get the refrence you'll get a new best friend. Oh and also all the rest of the characters (Izzy, Magnus, Alec, Luke) get a lot more involved and important as theseries goes on and actually even in the next book.
Every time you said something about the book, I wanted to come down to the comments section and tell you how much I agreed, but I held myself back just to make sure you didn't hate Luke. I was not disappointed, in fact, you said everything I was thinking while reading!! Lucelyn for life!

Well if you like Sizzy, you're going to love CoFA and CoLS I love Jace because he is so cocky and unpredictable. Since most of it is in Clary's P.O.V. and we don't see much of his P.O.V. it is hard to tell what his virtues are. He's kinda here one second then there another. If you've only read the first book, you are actually pretty spot on in the future books. You should also watch the CoB movie. It's not a fantastic representation of the book but it is good.

I finished reading City of Bones last night so I was excited to see this video from you today! And I agree with pretty much EVERYTHING you said. I really enjoyed the majority of it but the last quarter of the book lost me a bit, it felt a bit underwhelming to me. I'm intrigued enough to keep reading but I don't feel particularly motivated to, so please tell me the series gets better!
TMI is absolutely my fav series in the world and I'm actually marathoning it right now to prepare for CoHF, but OMG if anybody is hesitant to continue the series don't be!! It only gets better and better with more suspense and more plot twists and OMG i just love it sooooo much. And Jace is by far my #1 fictional boyfriend and try not to think that he's a huge jerk and super cocky because he just acts that way, and you see his true figure as you continue on with the books, because idk he's just by far my favorite:)

Yay, I'm so glad you did this review! I read the City of Bones in high school (ya know, back in the day) and I thought it was pretty okay but nothing special so I didn't go further in the series. But then I joined booktube and saw all the hype surrounding it, which has made me want to re-read it and continue on!

Jace does get a lot better and so does Clary. You really see them mature in their relationship.

I finished reading City of Bones last night so I was excited to see this video from you today! And I agree with pretty much EVERYTHING you said. I really enjoyed the majority of it but the last quarter of the book lost me a bit, it felt a bit underwhelming to me. I'm intrigued enough to keep reading but I don't feel particularly motivated to, so please tell me the series gets better!
TMI is absolutely my fav series in the world and I'm actually marathoning it right now to prepare for CoHF, but OMG if anybody is hesitant to continue the series don't be!! It only gets better and better with more suspense and more plot twists and OMG i just love it sooooo much. And Jace is by far my #1 fictional boyfriend and try not to think that he's a huge jerk and super cocky because he just acts that way, and you see his true figure as you continue on with the books, because idk he's just by far my favorite:)

Now I really want to continue reading this series! I've read the first two and have the third one but I haven't gotten around to reading it. I ought to read it all before CoHF comes out and everyone spoils everything.

I have read up to CoG & I love the first 3 books. City of glass is probably my favorite... I can't wait to read the rest of the series. Then maybe I'll read infernal devices... the spinoff series. Don't know too much about it. Loved the video, as always

I read the City of Bones in high school (ya know, back in the day) and I thought it was pretty okay but nothing special so I didn't go further in the series. But then I joined booktube and saw all the hype surrounding it, which has made me want to re-read it and continue on!
The second book is loads better than the first! Overall it's just a fun & entertaining series.
Good! And I've been in the mood for some fantasy lately, so I guess I've gotta get aboard the Cassandra Clare train.

I read this book series in middle school when I was younger than clary and saw nothing wrong with her decision making. Now I’m a lot older than her and I want to slap this child.
I was very speculative at first with this book, but I picked it up and read it in less than 36 hours, now halfway through the third book of this series. I'm obsessed!!!
I am so late, I literally only started the book like 2 or 3 days ago and I finished it today and I bloody loved it! It was amazing! I'm so sad that I didn't find it before, but I seriously loved the book and cannot wait to read the next one!
Lmao some of your predictions are making me laugh bc theyre so accurate but like maybe not in the way you are expecting. And omg i remember being really annoyed with the first book too at times and the hug brother/sister plot twist actually pissed me off so much lmao. But everything gets better and isabelle, alec, and magnus become basically like main characters as the series goes on and like yeah its just great x)
