Can you explain why you changed the bulbs and if you know now if the resistor etc was necessary or not? I dont know what the before and after is like in terms of functionality and if it looks different. Interested to find out so I can think about if it's something I also want to do :)
Great question! LEDs tend to last longer and they have a brighter output than halogen. Plus, halogens gets hotter just to be bright and LEDs don't even break a sweat being bright. Some vehicles will detect your LED bulb, especially turn signal bulbs, as a "failure" and the turn signal indicator in your dash would flicker like crazy (some call it hyper-flashing). Because the LED bulbs have a different voltage than halogens, the car freaks out thinking you've blown out a turn signal bulb. You need to correct the voltage being sent to your new LED bulb with a resistor. I definitely should've took a before and after!
@@ItsEricVenzon gotcha. Yeah I figured that's what the resistor was for but I think at some point in the video it sounded like you said you didn't know you needed it so I wanted to be sure. Going to check these out though! Appreciate you my dude.
Dude! This was such an awesome DIY! Been watching your videos back to back recently. Keep moving forward! I believe in you
Yo! Thanks my guy. Really appreciate the kind words. 🖤

How did you cut out the reverse lights?
I tried using knifeless tape but it didn't work out that well because of the corners
So.... How did you do it tho?
@@ItsEricVenzon Yeah it'd like to know how you did it too lol.
Oops i didnt see this folks. I just cut it out lightly with a stainless steel craft knife. 😅
if you would add an nightshot it would be an even better video :)
great anyways
I'll definitely do this when I do the version 2 for sure! Thanks for watching!
How difficult would it be to access the third high brake light connection without removing the light?
@@tonycampbell9626 I haven't personally removed it but it involves removing the hatch interior.
