The Jets and Sharks are the gangs in West Side Story. The Jets are the white guys and the Sharks are the Puerto Rican guys. Usually in a high school production anybody who isn’t 100% white is automatically a Shark. But it makes sense that Mr. Shue would do colorblind casting. It actually gets confusing if you cast colorblind in a full production. You need to costume the two gangs in matching colors otherwise when they fight it’s hard to tell who’s who. A recent Broadway revival had this issue.
They literally had the same problem during season 3 but it was Tina who complained about not getting a solo. And if i remember correctly, in this episode Tina actually gave the solo to Rachel and yet in the s3 episode Rachel gave Tina nothing. They really did do her dirty.
Tina and Rachel sing a duet and the rest of the episode was basically about how Tina should keep staying quiet and wait but then never give her anything. The lesson was in the end that Rachel was better than her and Tina was nothing. Good job writers, the racism shows.

It's crazy how Schue gave Rachel multiple chances after storming out like a spoiled brat but the moment Mercedes walked out once he kicked her out. Rachel barely suffered any consequences for her actions, and even on the rare occasions she did, they were quickly rectified, like when she was allowed a second chance at NYADA after leaving. Like no lasting negative things ever happened to Rachel, she got her perfect ending despite being an awful person.
I’m so glad for Tina, but Rachel is not really being as a good team player and in fact that Rachel shouldn’t demand that part to be hers and no one else and that actually shows that Rachel needs serious growing up time and I’m also glad that Mr. Shue put his shoe down and told off Rachel jus because she is not really showing any respect for Tina because respecting is something that should be earned and it is good that Mr. Shue made his point very clear to Rachel in a calm firm voice

Apparently Lea Michele auditioned for the role of Maria in the 2009 revival of 'West Side Story' directed by the scriptwriter of the original 50s performance Arthur Laurence. I've seen the girl they ended up hiring, and I'm sorry Lea because I still love you and you're an amazing singer, but Josefina Scaglione was perfect for the role.
Ironic, since Argentinians are the "whites" of Latin America since they are immigrants and descedants of Italians ans Germans. This girl looks whiter than Lea Michele. Not that I care for Lea, but it just goes to show Hollywood´s manipulation. It´s all about pandering.

Ridiculous people hate on rachel because of scenes like this one. She's the stereotype of the Theater Kid. Obviously she acts like this. Plus, she has always had two dad who gave her all the attention, she started competing when she was less than a year old and she practiced more than anyone else in that club. She's a great performer and all her confidence comes from how her dad treated her. She's not a toxic person, she grew up. In high school she was ambitious, but this is a part of her personality, just as being caring and forgiving, but people tend to forget it

Ok, but it’s not really good to be teaching anybody how to do favouritism like that because everyone shouldn’t be how Rachel is and it shouldn’t be teaching for being rude to everyone even though we could do it but we really shouldn’t be doing it anyway jus because of what a tv show is showing us even though it is entertaining us and besides that we really really need to look at it from another point of view like from a newer perspective like how I’m seeing it because it maybe fun to watch yes, but that’s because we shouldn’t be watching it for the fun of it and because we feel like watching it and those answers are the wrong answers because it should be for research purposes and only for that and we should be making notes 📝 about what we should and shouldn’t be doing anyway because we are in the future now right then I say that we should get a huge leap and start shaping our future now before the death of our own world and I’m not really referring to our own little worlds because I’m really really really referring to our planet 🌏 the one that we all Live on because in the future it could die and that’s why I’m saying this to you because that’s like why I’m giving you this one long and lengthy comment and what I’m saying about us humans it really is the very actual honest truth and we really really should start by looking around us all and see what we have done to everyone like we should really really look at each other like for good long look at us not from the outside of us because we really really have to look at the insides of us humans because the insides actually matters the most and it counts for a lot and for what we are saying is jus a cover up because we are really hurting ourselves from the outsides because what we feel from the insides is the only thing that we have and yeah I know that this is a lot to take in because this is exactly what the first step to start from in order for us to become as better people that I do know that we can be as and it’s not that hard at all to do because all it takes is jus a first little step and also um I know that this is a huge step to take because we have to do this for good of our planet 🌏 and we all should make this change not jus only for the good for our planet 🌍 it’s also for the good for us people too because we really really should start treating other people like how we want to be treated and again yeah I do know that this is a lot to take in because we really really need to work on our improvements and our flaws so that way we can start working on shaping our future not jus only for our kids and not jus only for our planet 🌎 because it’s really for our kids’s kids and so on like that and we should also start with connecting to other people’s insides because that’s true roots like where we should really touch them and it could be a little touch and or a little compliment and many people will love 💕 us for doing that, but we should also use our manners a lot more often because no one actually likes people who are not really using their manners and that goes double for being rude and for swearing 🤬 because everyone jus wants what’s best not jus only for themselves and also for us too because we really should be a very very huge and happy family who are honest and say the truth no matter what we are feeling like from the outsides and on the insides because those should be matching and they shouldn’t be conflicting with each other and I’m so sorry for taking up your time, but that’s about it for now and I will be anxiously awaiting for your next comment and for that you should jus take your time and think it through and if it is what you want to say then please post it and again thank you for your time

Apparently Lea Michele auditioned for the role of Maria in the 2009 revival of 'West Side Story' directed by the scriptwriter of the original 50s performance Arthur Laurence. I've seen the girl they ended up hiring, and I'm sorry Lea because I still love you and you're an amazing singer, but Josefina Scaglione was perfect for the role.

Plus, she has always had two dad who gave her all the attention, she started competing when she was less than a year old and she practiced more than anyone else in that club. She's a great performer and all her confidence comes from how her dad treated her. She's not a toxic person, she grew up. In high school she was ambitious, but this is a part of her personality, just as being caring and forgiving, but people tend to forget it
